Abstract

The adaptor (50) for barrier devices has a sleeve-shaped basic body which is open at both ends. Its interior space has an outline area which includes both a square and a circle. Two ribs for accommodating a board-like barrier part (85) are moulded onto one of the outer sides. On the side diametrically opposite thereto, as part of a coupling apparatus, a wall part is provided which is at a certain distance from the basic body and is connected thereto by two connecting walls. At least one recess with a keyhole-shaped outline is present in the wall part. A coupling member (70) is provided as a second part of the coupling device, and has at least one circular retaining disc which is connected, via a neck section, to the coupling member (70). The retaining disc and the neck section are matched to the keyhole-shaped recess in the wall part of the basic body. Two ribs are moulded onto the coupling member (70), on the side remote from the retaining disc, in order to receive a board-like barrier section (85). Instead of the ribs for a board-like barrier section, the adaptor and the coupling member can also be provided with a collar each, having a cylindrical cavity to receive cylindrical barrier sections. <IMAGE>

Description

Construction sites in the street and / or sidewalk area require a visually perceptible barrier. This applies in particular to those construction sites where the soil inside the construction site is noticeably lower than in the surrounding area. This also applies e.g. for working in or on open floor shafts.

When erecting such barriers, posts are often used which have a footplate in the form of a worn wheel hub or in the form of a motor vehicle tire filled with concrete, in the center of which a rod-like post part is fixedly arranged. This post part often consists of a section of a monier iron profile. Z-shaped or U-shaped brackets are welded to it, the U-shaped brackets sometimes being welded along one profile leg so that the second leg runs parallel to the post part or the ends of the two free legs are welded to the post part, so that the web part of the U-profile runs parallel to the post part. Barrier boards are loosely inserted or loosely inserted into these brackets.

These barriers and the posts used for them have several disadvantages. One of them is that the posts themselves represent a structural unit that can only be stored, handled and set up as a whole and that cannot be used temporarily for other purposes. Another major disadvantage is that generally only barrier boards can be used with these posts and that these boards are held more or less loosely by the brackets on the posts. As a result, these barrier boards can easily slide out of the brackets or be pushed out, the barrier boards then either falling in their entirety on the floor and there remain or at least one of its ends slips out of the bracket of the post in question and falls to the ground, so that the barrier board only hangs on one post and runs obliquely downwards from there. In both cases, the warning and guiding effect of the barrier is either completely eliminated or at least greatly reduced. The posts with open brackets have the disadvantage that the free-standing end of the bracket poses a not inconsiderable risk of injury for pedestrians passing by, especially when the barrier, for example on a sidewalk, also forms a constriction for pedestrian traffic.

In another known barrier, a multi-purpose post is used (DE-GM 89 03 092.3), the main part of which is designed as a prismatic hollow body. This post is inserted with one foot into a footplate of a conventional type. There are a number of keyhole-shaped recesses in the wall surfaces of the prismatic hollow body, by means of which shut-off parts, e.g. round barriers or barriers can be coupled, which are provided with appropriate coupling pieces for this purpose. These barrier parts can also be detached from the barrier posts. However, this requires certain steps. They cannot be simply replaced by bumping or rubbing against them. The operational safety of such a shut-off device is therefore considerably greater than that of the type described first.

The latter shut-off device requires the multipurpose posts mentioned. If the required number of multipurpose posts is not fully available when setting up a barrier, or if one or more of the multipurpose posts is damaged by an accident after the complete installation of such a barrier with multipurpose posts comes and becomes unusable, the barrier is at least incomplete until the number of multipurpose posts has been increased to the required level.

The invention specified in claim 1 or 2 has for its object to provide an adapter for shut-off devices, by means of which conventional beacon tubes of beacon stands or base plate stands can be used to supplement a shut-off of the type described or optionally to build up a shut-off as a whole can.

Because the interior of the sleeve-shaped base body includes both a square with a certain side length and a circle with a certain diameter, the adapter can be used both with square tubes with a corresponding side length of their cross section and with round beacon tubes with a corresponding diameter. Characterized in that a collar with a circular cylindrical interior is formed on the adapter according to claim 1, a round shut-off rod can be inserted therein, as are customary in the form of metal or plastic pipes. Characterized in that in the adapter according to claim 2 two ribs are formed with a specific design and arrangement, a barrier plank or a barrier board can be used and attached, as they are also commercially available or otherwise available on construction sites. The fact that a wall part with a keyhole-shaped recess is present on these adapters on the other side, with a space with a certain clear width being present between this wall part and the base body of the adapter, shut-off parts, in particular shut-off rods, can be coupled to it, which with are provided a coupling piece which has a holding disc on a neck part, the dimensions of which are matched to the recess on the wall part of the adapter. In this way, the adapter can be used in one form or another together with conventional beacon tubes on the associated base plates either insert them into an existing barrier or a barrier can be built up from them, at least until they are replaced by other barrier posts, if this is desired in individual cases. Since the adapters themselves represent individual parts that can be used with rectangular tubes or with round tubes as desired and these can in turn be combined with base plates of different types, different types of barriers can be easily constructed and / or supplemented and / or if necessary replace. This applies in particular to an embodiment of the adapter according to claim 3, in which the adapter with the most frequently occurring beacon tubes can be used both with a square cross-section and with a rice-round cross-section.

An adapter designed according to claim 4 is particularly well suited for the use of barrier boards or barrier boards which are then coupled to the relevant barrier post at two points apart.

An adapter designed according to claim 5 is intended for the use of round shut-off rods in solid form or in tubular form, whereas an adapter according to claim 6 is intended for the use of barrier planks and barrier boards.

By designing the adapter according to claim 7, the parts to be connected can be fastened by means of rivets or screws or, if necessary, even temporarily by means of a piece of wire, so that a permanent connection is created.

An adapter designed according to claim 8 can be clamped to a beacon tube at any height. As a result, an adapter can be clamped with the associated shut-off parts at the upper end of the beacon tubes and further down, more close to the footplate. The latter has the advantage that such a barrier can also be felt by blind pedestrians with the cane and that they do not become aware of the barrier until they hit the higher barrier parts with their bodies. If such an adapter is not made of metal, in particular of light metal, but of plastic, the durability of the clamping device is increased by a further development of the adapter according to claim 9.

By designing the adapter according to claim 10 and / or 11, a shut-off can also be continued or branched off at right angles to its remaining course. It can e.g. a barrier can be built that has a U-shaped course and even one that results in a closed rectangle. In all of these cases, no additional stand is required at the corner points or branch points, because the continuation or branch can be coupled to the existing stand of the adjacent section or sections of the barrier. This direct coupling of the continuation or branch has the great advantage that the sections of the barrier adjoining one another at a corner point or branch point mutually support one another, whereby the stability of the entire barrier is considerably improved. This is further increased by a further development of the adapter according to claim 12, through which two coupling points are created in each case.

In one embodiment of the adapter according to claim 13 it is achieved that the continuation or branch are at the same height as the other sections of the barrier.

In an embodiment of the adapter according to claim 14, the coupling point can be used as a swivel joint for the shut-off part adjoining there. This can facilitate access to the interior of the barrier, for example, in the case of a barrier in the form of a closed rectangle.

24 eingesteckt.A shut-off device 20 can be seen from FIG. 1 as part of a shut-off of greater length. This shut-off device 20 has two beacon tubes 21 and 22. These are inserted into a footplate 23 and 24, respectively.

The beacon tube 21 is a conventional rectangular tube with 40 mm side length of the cross-sectional shape. The beacon tube 22 is a conventional round tube with a diameter of 42 mm. The base plates 23 and 24 are also of a conventional type, with an insert 25 and 26 being indicated in the middle, which is matched in the usual way to the reception of a rectangular tube or a round tube. The inserts 25 and 26 do not necessarily have to be independent parts which are inserted into a larger recess in the footplate in question. It can also be a recess which is matched to the tube shape and is formed directly in the relevant footplate. The recess in the insert 26 or in the base plate 24 can also have a square cross-section and for this purpose the round beacon tube 22 can be provided at its lower end with a square base with a square cross-sectional area, as is also common in practice.

At the upper end of the beacon tubes 21 and 22, an adapter 30 is attached and clamped there. Details of these adapters 30 can be seen from FIGS. 3 to 5.

Dadurch erscheint der Grundriß des Grundkörpers 31 näherungsweise als quadratischer Ring mit den vier ebenso näherungsweise ebenen Wandabschnitten 33 bis 36.As can be seen in particular from FIG. 4, the adapter 30 has a sleeve-shaped base body 31, which externally has the shape of a cuboid with a square outline. The interior 32 of the base body 31, which is open at the top and bottom, has a plan area which includes both a square with a side length of preferably 40 mm and a circle with a diameter of preferably 42 mm. As a result, the outline of the base body 31 appears approximately as a square ring with the four approximately equally flat wall sections 33 to 36.

A collar 37 is formed on the outside of one wall section 33, which surrounds a circular-cylindrical interior 38, which is open to the outside and is closed off inwards by the wall section 33. The cylinder axis of the collar 37 is aligned at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the interior 32 of the base body 31. The inside diameter of the collar 37 is expediently 42 mm, so that 39 round tubes with an outside diameter of 42 mm can be inserted as shut-off part, as they are also used for beacon tubes, e.g. the beacon tube 22 can be used.

On the side of the base body 31 facing away from the collar 37, an at least approximately flat wall part 41 is present as the first part of a coupling device 40, which is firmly connected to the base body 31 via two connecting walls 42 and is thus, as it were, molded onto the base body 31. The wall part 41 is aligned parallel to the wall section 34 of the base body 31. The wall part 41 has a certain clear distance from the wall section 34, the minimum dimension of which will be explained later with reference to the second part of the coupling device 40.

In the wall part 41 there is a keyhole-shaped recess 43, which is composed of a circular surface section 44 and a rectangular surface section 45. The rectangular surface section 45 is located below the circular surface section 44 in the operating position of the adapter 30.

A circular bulge 46 is formed on the wall section 35 of the base body 31, in the middle of which there is a through hole 47. A metal threaded part 48 with a nut thread is formed on the inside of the bulge 46 in the wall section 35. A hexagon nut is shown in FIG. 4 as the threaded part 48. Any other form of threaded parts to be molded in plastic can also be considered.

A threaded pin or a cap screw can be screwed into the threaded part 48, which acts as a clamping device for the adapter 30 when he or she is tightened until it contacts the beacon tube 21 or 22.

The adapter 30 is designed for receiving round shut-off parts 39. The adapter 50 shown in FIGS. 6-9 can be used to accommodate flat shut-off parts 49 (FIG. 6).

The adapter 50 has a sleeve-shaped base body 51, which has the same outline as the base body 31 (FIG. 7). With regard to the individual parts of the adapter 50 which are not explained in more detail below, reference is made to the description of the adapter 30.

On the outside of the wall part 52, two ribs 53 and 54 are formed on the base body 51, which are aligned with one another parallel and parallel to the longitudinal axis of the base body 51. The ribs 53 and 54 are mutually clear Distance that is matched to the thickness of commercially available and generally standardized barriers. This clear width is generally sufficient to also be able to use boards as shut-off parts 49. Since the space between the two ribs 53 and 54 is open towards the top and bottom, two pairs of aligned through holes 54 'are formed in the ribs, by means of which the shut-off part 49 with the adapter 51 by means of rivets, screws or the like is permanent or detachable can be connected.

On the side of the adapter 51 facing away from the ribs 53 and 54 there is a wall part 55 which is largely identical to the wall part 41 on the base body 31. The adapter 50 is approximately twice as high as the adapter 30. Therefore, two recesses 56 can be arranged one above the other in the wall part 55 (FIG. 8), which in detail are the same as the recess 43 on the adapter 30. The two recesses 56 are at a certain distance from one another, which is, for example, 80 mm between the centers of their circular surface sections.

The wall part 55 and its two recesses 56 together again form the first part of a coupling device 57 which corresponds to the coupling device 40 on the adapter 30.

The second part of the coupling device 40 is formed by a coupling piece 60, which can be seen from FIGS. 10 to 13.

The coupling piece 60 has a circular retaining disk 62, the outer diameter of which is at most equal to the clear width of the circular surface section 44 of the recess 43 on the adapter 30. On the other hand, the outside diameter of the holding disk 62 is larger than the inside width of the rectangular surface section 45 of the FIG Recess 43. The thickness of the holding disk 62 is smaller than the clear distance between the wall part 41 and the wall section 34 of the adapter 30 or, conversely, the clear distance between the wall part 41 and the wall section 34 is to be chosen larger than the thickness of the holding disk 42 .

A neck part 63 adjoins the holding disk 62 and has an at least approximately rectangular cross-sectional area (FIG. 12). The width and height of the neck portion 63 are matched to the clear width and the height of the rectangular surface section 45 of the recess 43 so that the neck part 63 can be easily inserted from the circular surface section 44 into the rectangular surface section 45 and he then without too much Game sits. The length of the neck part 63 is matched to the wall thickness of the wall part 41 at least in the vicinity of the recess 43, so that when the neck part 63 is inserted into the rectangular surface section 45, the holding disk 62 can slide past the sections of the wall part 41 located on both sides of the surface section 45 .

A connecting part 64 adjoins the neck part 63. This is formed by an end wall 65 and an adjoining annular collar 66. The collar 66 is matched to the shut-off part 67 to be coupled in the form of a round rod or a round tube. Advantageously, the inside width of the collar 66 is 42 mm, so that 67 round tubes with an outside diameter of 42 mm can be used as the shut-off part, as are also used for the beacon tube 22.

In order to fasten the connecting part 64 to the shut-off part 67, a pair of through holes 68 are formed in the area of the collar 66, through which a connecting element, for example a rivet 69, can be inserted at the same time extends through a corresponding pair of through holes in the shut-off part 67 and in this way firmly connects the shut-off part 67 to the connecting piece 60.

The second part of the coupling device 57 is formed by a coupling piece 70, which can be seen from FIGS. 14 to 16.

Similar to the adapter 50, the coupling piece 70 has two ribs 71 and 72 which connect to an end wall or connecting wall 73 and together form a connecting part 74 which corresponds to the connecting part 64 on the coupling piece 60. The clear distance between the ribs 71 and 72 is in turn matched to the thickness of commercially available barriers.

The ribs 71 and 72 have two pairs of through holes 75 through which fastening elements, such as rivets or screws, can be inserted in order to firmly connect a flat shut-off part inserted between the ribs 71 and 72 to the coupling piece 70.

On the side facing away from the ribs 71 and 72, a neck part 76 and a holding disk 77 each adjoin the connecting wall 73. These are at a distance from one another which is matched to the distance of the recesses 56 in the wall part 55 of the adapter 50. Otherwise, the holding washers 77 and the neck parts 76 are designed like the holding washer 62 or the neck part 63 on the connecting piece 60, to the explanation of which reference is made.

84 eingesteckt.2 shows a shut-off device 80 which can serve as a shut-off on its own or which forms part of a shut-off of greater length. This shut-off device 80 has two beacon tubes 81 and 82. These are inserted into a footplate 83 and 84, respectively.

The two beacon tubes 81 and 82 are rectangular tubes. However, one of them or both can also be designed as a round tube, as is partly the case with the shut-off device 20.

An adapter 50 is arranged on the upper part of the beacon tubes 81 and 82. On the adapter 50 on the right in FIG. 2, one end of a barrier plank serving as a barrier part 85 is fastened. At the other end, a coupling piece 70 is fastened, which is hooked onto the adapter 50 on the left in FIG. 2, with which the shut-off part 85 is coupled to it.

Beneath the adapters 50, there is an adapter 30 on each of the two beacon tubes 81 and 82 at a relatively short distance above the base plates 83 and 84, respectively.

Instead of the adapter 30, two further adapters 50 can also be used if a flat shut-off part is to be arranged in between. In the same way, instead of the upper two adapters 50, an adapter 30 can be arranged in order to arrange a round shut-off part between them.

The two shut-off devices 20 and 80 can be repeated any number of times in the manner indicated in FIG. 1 and thereby produce an elongated shut-off.

From Fig. 17 ... 20 an adapter 90 for flat shut-off parts can be seen, which is slightly modified compared to the adapter 50 (Fig. 6 ... 9). Insofar as the individual parts of the adapter 90 are not explained separately below, it can be assumed that they are designed to be the same or at least similar to the corresponding parts of the adapter 50.

The modification consists in that two circular holding disks 95 are arranged on the base body 91 of the adapter on the wall section 92, which is aligned at right angles to the wall section 93, which has the keyhole-shaped recesses 94. They are inseparably connected to the wall section 92 via a neck part 96, generally integrally formed thereon. The dimensions and the arrangement of the holding discs 95 and their neck parts 96 are matched to the dimensions and arrangements of the recesses 94, as is the case with the holding discs 77 and their neck parts 76 on the coupling piece 70.

The modification of the adapter 90 for flat shut-off parts which can be seen from FIGS. 17 ... 20 can also be applied analogously to the adapter 60 for cylindrical shut-off parts. In this embodiment, not shown, a retaining washer is arranged on the outside of the collar 66 so that it is aligned parallel to the longitudinal extent of the neck portion 63 of the retaining washer 62.

From Fig. 21 ... 23 a modified coupling piece 100 can be seen, which is suitable for flat shut-off parts. With the exception of the modification, this coupling piece 100 is again the same or at least very similar to the coupling piece 70 (FIGS. 14 ... 16), so that reference can be made to the explanation thereof.

The modification of the coupling piece 100 compared to the coupling piece 70 is that in addition to the primary holding disks 101, which correspond to the holding disks 77 (FIG. 14), at least one further or secondary holding disk 102 is present. As with the coupling piece 70, the primary holding disks 101 are each arranged on the outside of the central wall part 104 via a neck part 103 (Fig. 22). The secondary holding disk 102 is arranged on the outside of the wall part 105, which is oriented at right angles to the wall part 104.

A neck part 106 is also present between the holding disk 102 and the wall part 105. As indicated in FIG. 21, this neck part 106 has a circular cross-sectional shape. As a result, the neck part 106 is able to serve as a pivot pin for a further shut-off part which is hooked onto the secondary holding disk 102 with an adapter or coupling part. Such a pivoting movement can also be carried out with the shut-off part which is connected to the coupling piece 100 and is attached to this on an adapter, such as the adapter 50 or the adapter 90.

If the above-described pivoting option around the secondary holding plate 102 and its neck part 106 is not required or even a stronger and rigid connection between the shut-off parts to be coupled via the coupling piece 100 is desired, two secondary holding plates 102 can also be provided instead of the single secondary holding plate 102 which are then arranged on the wall part 105 in the same arrangement as the primary holding disks 101 on the wall part 104. In this case, instead of the neck part 106 with a circular cross section, neck parts with a rectangular cross section can also be used, as is the case with the neck parts 103 of the holding disks 101.
