Abstract

A universal movable upper tool for a waste-stripping station situated within a machine designed for die-cutting sheet or web-like matter to be converted into packages includes a tool with a rectangular lower plate provided with apertures. Push-rods destined to push waste material through corresponding openings of a perforated upper plate forming a lower tool of the station are fitted against a lower side of the upper plate with the help of quick-fitting means situated on the upper plate's upper surface. Sponge rubber pressers are fitted against a lower side of the upper plate by means of strips affording an easily disengageable mechanical engagement such as hook and loop locking strips (such as VELCRO fasteners) or frictionally engaging locking devices (such as LEGO fasteners).

Claims (5)

  1. Universal movable upper tool for a waste-stripping station situated within a machine designed for die-cutting sheet or web-like matter used for producing packages, comprising a support (1; 1') on which stripping push-rods (P₁; P'₁) and elastic pressers (E₁; E'₁) are fitted so as to be shiftable in position, characterized by the fact that the pressers (E₁; E'₁) are fitted on the support (1; 1') by means of VELCRO® strips (7, 8; 7', 8') applied on every presser (E₁; E'₁) and on the support (1; 1').
  2. Tool according to claim 1, of which the support consists of a horizontal plate (1; 1') provided with numerous apertures (10; 10') designed. for the fitting of the push-rods (P₁; P'₁), the plate (1; 1') having a lower surface against which the push-rods (P₁; P'₁) and the pressers (E₁; E'₁) are fitted, characterized by the fact that the VELCRO® strips (7, 8; 7', 8') are fixed on the lower side of the plate (1; 1') and on the upper side of every presser (E₁ ; E'₁) respectively.
  3. Tool according to claim 2, of which the quick-fitting means (S₁) arranged on the upper surface of the plate (1) are engaged through oblong apertures (10) with the push-rods (P₁) gripping the lower surface of the plate (1), characterized by the VELCRO® strips (7) of the plate (1) extending beyond the gripping areas of the push-rods (P₁).

Tool according to claim 2, characterized by the plate (1') being provided with numerous apertures (10') in every one of which can be placed a push-rod (P'₁) shaped as a pin (2') provided at its upper end with a head (9) knocking against the upper surface of the plate (1'), means (4) being destined for locking in position the pins (2') when operating, characterized by the VELCRO® strips (7') making up a layer covering principally the whole lower side of the plate (1').
  5. Tool according to claim 1, characterized by the VELCRO® strips (7, 8; 7', 8') being replaced by a fixing system based on the principle of the play blocs of the trademark LEGO®.
