Description

The present innovation relates to a connection elbow for toilets with a horizontal outlet connection.

In particular, the toilets in old buildings to be renovated are provided with a vertical outlet connection, which is connected to a vertical sewage pipe in the floor area. However, the distance of the sewage pipe varies from building to building and fluctuates between 160 and 260 mm, measured from the center of the sewage pipe to the wall. The visible, vertical outlet connection is extremely disruptive. Toilets with a horizontal outlet connection are also known, which can be connected to a vertical sewage pipe located at a distance from the wall. To make the outlet connection and any necessary connection bends invisible, these lavatories are provided with side skirts that hit the wall with their rear end faces. However, this results in a fixed distance between the free end face of the horizontal outlet connector and the wall. Now that the distances between the sewage pipes and the wall fluctuate, connecting pieces that have been adapted to the respective distance would have to be made for the apron toilets mentioned above in the course of the installation. This adaptation to the respective distance of the sewage pipe from the wall is extremely labor intensive and leads to correspondingly high costs for the installation.

The present innovation is based on the task of developing a connecting bend for toilets with a horizontal outlet of the type mentioned in such a way that, in the course of renovating a toilet room, the adaptation to different distances of the fixed sewage pipes from the walls is possible in a particularly simple manner without specifically parts designed for the respective distance are required.

The task is solved by an S-shaped connecting bend, which consists essentially of a shortenable, horizontal inlet pipe section, a connectable to a sewage pipe, perpendicular to the outlet pipe section connectable to the outlet pipe of the toilet and an outlet pipe section between the inlet and the outlet pipe section lying, arched center piece exists.

The inlet pipe section that can be connected to the outlet connection of the toilet is designed for the greatest distance between the sewage pipe and the wall. Depending on how large this distance is, the horizontal inlet pipe section of the connecting piece is shortened, i.e. the distance from the central longitudinal axis of the outlet nozzle to the free end face of the inlet pipe section is adjusted such that the length of the horizontal inlet pipe section is in an inversely proportional relationship to the distance of the sewage pipe from the wall. Since the connection bend is made of plastic, the time for shortening the inlet pipe section can be neglected, since it is relatively short in relation to the total time for the installation.

The connecting piece is expediently formed in one piece, since this not only eliminates various individual parts, but also the production is particularly cost-effective, since such tubular parts are made of plastic in a suitable manufacturing process. To facilitate installation, it is provided that the connecting piece has a holder, which consists essentially of one is formed on the connecting piece, provided with a hole tab and a threaded rod that can be fixed in the wall. First, the connecting piece with a corresponding length of the horizontal inlet pipe section can be connected to the existing sewage pipe. Then the threaded rod can be pushed into the hole and fixed in the wall using a dowel so that it is perpendicular to it. The connecting piece can then be fixed by nuts. The outlet connection of the toilet is then pushed into the horizontal inlet pipe section. In order to ensure a tight connection, a corresponding seal is slipped onto the free end area of the inlet pipe section. For locking and additional sealing of the seal, it is expedient if the inlet pipe section is provided on the outside with a plurality of circumferential ribs which are arranged at the same distance from one another. This distance is relatively small in relation to the total length of the inlet pipe section. If the inlet pipe section is shortened, the rib assigned to the free end is always used to fix the seal, and the ribs also help to cut the inlet pipe section straight by hand.

The toilet 10 has on the side associated with the cistern 11 and the wall surface of the toilet room on a horizontal outlet 12 at a distance from the wall surface of the toilet room a permanently installed waste water pipeline 13 is provided, which can protrude a little from the floor surface of the toilet room. The waste water pipeline 13 runs in the vertical direction. The conductive connection between the outlet nozzle 12 and the waste water pipeline 13 is achieved by an S-shaped connecting bend 14 which is fixed by means of a bracket 15 fastened to the associated wall of the toilet room. As can be seen from a comparison of FIGS. 1 and 2, the distance between the free end face of the outlet connector 12 of the lavatory 10 is the same in both versions, while the distance between the central longitudinal axis of the waste water pipeline 13 in the embodiment according to FIG. 2 and according to FIG FIG. 4 is considerably larger than the distance according to the embodiment according to FIG. 1 or FIG. 3.

The S-shaped connecting bend 14 consists of a horizontal inlet pipe section 16, the free end area of which extends over the end area of the outlet connector 12, an outlet pipe section 17 which engages in the sewer pipe 13 and is vertical to the inlet pipe section 16, and an arcuate central section 18. The inlet pipe section 16 is formed in one piece . A comparison of the embodiment according to FIGS. 2 and 4 with the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 3 also shows that the horizontal inlet pipe section 16 according to the embodiment according to FIGS. 2 and 4 is shorter by an amount which results from the Difference in the distance of the sewage pipe 13 from the wall surface results. During installation, the actual distance of the sewage pipe 13 from the wall surface can be measured, whereupon the inlet pipe section 16 is on the outside with several at a relatively small distance from one another provided ribs 19. These ribs serve not only as a cutting aid for a cut surface perpendicular to the central longitudinal axis of the inlet pipe section 16, but also for fixing a seal 20 in the front free end region of the inlet pipe section 16. The seal 20 is U-shaped in cross section. The seal 20 is circumferential. The open end faces the wall surface of the toilet room.

The bracket 15 consists essentially of a hole provided with a tab 21 and a threaded rod 22 inserted through the hole of the tab 21. The tab 21 is in the transition area between the inlet pipe section 16 and the center piece 18 on the upper side, ie the cistern 11 facing , molded onto the connecting piece 14. The free end of the threaded rod 22, which is perpendicular to the wall surface, overlaps the free end of the outlet connector 12. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the threaded rod 22 is fastened to a flange plate 23 which can be fastened to the wall using dowels and screws. The connecting piece 14 is held with two nuts screwed against the tab 21. With a smaller distance of the sewage pipeline 13 from the wall, the distance of the tab 21 from the wall also decreases. The waste water pipeline 13 is formed in the connection area with the connection piece 14 as a sleeve 24. The connection area is sealed by means of an inserted seal 25. The inlet pipe section 16 has an annular cross section. On the side facing the toilet, the transition area from the center piece 18 to the outlet pipe section 17 is provided with a flattened portion 26 on the side facing the toilet, so that with the greater distance of the sewage pipe 13 from the wall, this area does not abut the associated wall of the toilet 10 bumps, as can be seen particularly from FIG. 4. The area of the middle piece 18 assigned to the outlet pipe piece 17 is oval in cross section so that the lower area is at a distance from the bottom surface, so that a connection to the sewage pipe 13 is possible.

For the installation of the toilet 10, the outlet pipe section 17 of the connecting piece 14 is first inserted into the sewage pipe 13. The threaded rod 22 is already inserted into the hole in the tab 21. After aligning the connecting piece 14, the flange plate 3 is attached. Then the nuts screwed onto the threaded rod 22 are tightened. The connecting piece 14 is then fixed in the correct position. After the seal 20 has been slipped onto the end of the inlet pipe section 16, the dispensing nozzle 12 of the lavatory 10 can be pushed into the inlet pipe section 16.
