Description

The invention relates to a lattice fence, consisting of fence posts and lattice mats which can be fastened to these in the region of the joints of the lattice mats and which consist of a plurality of horizontally and vertically oriented, respectively parallel and spaced-apart vertical and horizontal bars, the fence posts each having two approximately U- have shaped, vertically directed channels with mouths directed away from one another in the longitudinal extent of the fence, into which the mesh mats with their edge edges running parallel to the fence post can be inserted from the free end of the fence post.

Furthermore, the invention relates to a lattice fence consisting of fence posts and attachable to them. Lattice mats made up of several horizontally and vertically oriented, each parallel and spaced apart There are arranged vertical and horizontal bars, the fence posts each having two approximately U-shaped, vertically directed channels with a mouth directed away from one another in the longitudinal direction of the fence, into which the grid mats with their edge edges running parallel to the fence post can be inserted from the free end of the fence post.

Such a fence is known from EP-A-O 288 703. In the known design, the fence assembly is carried out in such a way that the mesh mats are hung in tabs of the fence post previously anchored to the ground. Then the fence post is driven into the ground and the lattice mats are reasonably secured against falling out and rattling. However, with this construction of a lattice fence it is not possible to first close the fence posts and then to insert the lattice mats into the profiles of the fence posts and to anchor them permanently in these profiles.

Multiple shapes and designs of mesh mats are known in the prior art. For example, mesh mats are known in which the horizontal bars are formed by perforated flat bars or U-bars, through which the vertical bars designed as round bars are inserted in the center or outside in the center and welded in the area of the perforations.
Furthermore, mesh mats in the manner of structural steel mesh mats are known, in which one horizontal bar to form the vertical bars is directed vertically at opposite ones on the outside Round bars are welded. Such designs are also known in which round rods are welded as horizontal rods to vertical rods designed as round rods, which are arranged on both sides in parallel and at the same level as one another. This variety of conventional mesh mat designs and also the different dimensions, especially seen in cross section of the mesh, have so far required that the fence posts and the corresponding fasteners for holding the mesh on the fence posts are individually tailored to the specific type of mesh.
In addition, it is common in the prior art and required that the attachment be carried out with loose auxiliary parts which must be attached to the fence posts by means of screws or the like. On the one hand, this results in manufacturing disadvantages, since the fence posts and the fastening means consisting of several parts are manufactured individually and have to be kept in stock. There are also assembly disadvantages because the fence installation requires multiple screw fixings.
Starting from this prior art, the invention has for its object to provide a lattice fence of the generic type, which allows for a secure fixation of the lattice mats on the fence post while reducing the number of individual parts with little manufacturing and assembly costs. To solve this problem, it is proposed that the clear width of the channel between the free end of the projection and the projection-free leg of the channel is dimensioned at least slightly larger than the width of the mesh mat, measured from its side to the projection-free leg of the channel up to the lateral end of the horizontal bars of the lattice mat, which faces the projection, and that between the projection-free leg and the end of the lattice mat inserted into the channel, at least one clamping piece can be inserted parallel to the horizontal bars, by means of which the end of the lattice mat against the one provided with the projection Leg can be pressed and fixed in this position, in which position the projection projects into the vertical plane spanned by the region of the horizontal bars facing the projection.
The training according to the invention solves the problem set out excellently.

The fence posts with the gutters forming the components of the fence posts can be used as universal components for different types of lattice mats, with the only requirement being that the distance between the gutter legs must correspond to the largest usable cross-sectional dimension of the lattice mat element.
The manufacture of such a lattice fence is greatly simplified, since only the previously customary lattice mats, the fence posts, are used for the manufacture
and the clamps must be manufactured and kept in stock. Installation is also extremely easy, since to install a lattice fence, fence posts must first be placed at the intervals corresponding to the lattice mats, which are to be aligned with one another. The lattice mats can then be inserted from the free end of the post into the U-shaped grooves of two adjacent posts, so that the lattice fence is already essentially finished. In order to be able to insert the grid mats into the U-shaped channels, the only requirement that must be met is that the clear insertion gap between the projections of one channel leg and the surface of the other channel legs is wide enough to be able to insert the grid mat. The final securing of the position of the lattice mat on the fence post is then carried out in such a way that at least one, preferably several, clamping pieces are driven into each groove parallel to the horizontal bars (under clamping force) by means of which clamping pieces that in the groove gap located end of the lattice mat is pressed the leg of the channel provided with projection or projections, so that the projections protrude into the vertical plane spanned by the Horiontalstäben. In this way, it is not possible for the unauthorized person to push an inserted and secured grid mat upwards out of the insertion channel of the posts. The driven clamping pieces can be designed as simple flat wedge pieces which have no handle in order to enable an unauthorized person to remove these clamping pieces by manipulation with tools or the like.
The corresponding fence posts are universally suitable for lattice mats of different cross-sectional dimensions, with clamping pieces of different thickness only having to be used in the case of considerable dimensional deviations. For this purpose, it is also conceivable that a universal clamping piece is used and, if necessary, two such clamping pieces are driven in together at one clamping point in order to bridge the corresponding distance.
The clamping piece is preferably driven in on the inside of the leg surface to be secured, so that it is still more difficult for the unauthorized user standing on the outside of the fence to remove this clamping piece from the clamping position.

For the rest, it is also conceivable, especially for corner designs, to design the fence posts so that, for example, to form a 90 ° bend in two perpendicular wall parts of the fence posts, each has a U-shaped groove, so that the ends of each other at 90 ° angled grid mats can be inserted into these channels. Other angular positions can also be achieved by a corresponding relative position of the U-shaped grooves on the post to one another, the same posts being used for the same angular positions.
The installation effort of such lattice fences is also advantageously reduced insofar as the installer only has to carry a hammer or similar tool as an assembly tool in order to be able to drive in the clamping pieces or the clamping pieces. The arrangement of screws, nuts or similar fasteners or the arrangement of cover plates, clamps or the like to be operated with tools or the like is not necessary. In addition, in the case of sloping or rising terrain, any height adjustment of the lattice mat on the corresponding fence post is also possible without special connecting elements or fastening elements being required for this.
Although the constructive solution described above is preferred, an alternative or in combination is also one Solution to the problem set out in such a way that between at least one leg of the channel and the inserted into this end of the mesh mat at least one clamping piece parallel to the horizontal bars, in particular next to the horizontal bars, can be inserted, by means of which the end of the mesh mat against the Clamp facing away from the leg can be pressed and fixed in this position, either the clamping piece on its surface facing the grid mat has at least one projection which in this position projects into the vertical plane spanned by the area of the horizontal bars facing the projection, or wherein the horizontal bar has on its side facing the clamping piece at least one projection which, in this position, projects into the vertical plane which is spanned by the surface of the clamping piece facing the grid mat.

In the first alternative solution mentioned above, contrary to the solution described above, it is not the one channel leg that has the projections, but the projections or the projection is on the clamping piece even arranged so that the clamping piece on the one hand creates a frictional connection and on the other hand the positive connection in the vertical direction (slip or lift protection) is formed by the projection of the clamping piece. The second alternative is advantageous in that the post itself is easier to manufacture, since the gutter legs can be free of projections, but an individual adjustment of the horizontal bars of the grid mat is required, which must have projections formed or attached in their end region. Here too, however, it is ensured that a frictional and a positive connection is ensured after the mesh mats have been inserted into the grooves of the fence posts and after the clamping piece has been driven in. The assembly and variety of applications is also achieved.
A particularly preferred development is seen in the fact that the fence post is essentially designed as a rectangular profile tube, on the one side surface of which a T-profile is formed with a foot part that merges into the side surface, the legs of which are in alignment with the side surface of the profile tube, two U-shaped channels that are in alignment form.
Such training can be easily achieved in particular that a corresponding sheet in a multiple roller set is used to form the complete fence post, so that the fence post can be formed in one piece from an originally flat sheet metal section.

The free ends of the sheet metal section can be connected to one another by flanging, folding or welding.

Furthermore, it is preferably provided that the projections are formed by knob-like features, beads or material accumulations distributed over the height of the relatively outer leg of the channel.
It is further preferred that the clamping pieces have a wedge-shaped cross section.
Although the horizontal bars of the lattice mats already provide orientation aids for the assembler in order to indicate at which points the clamping pieces can be driven in in a particularly suitable manner, it is preferably provided that the clamping pieces and / or the legs of the channel or horizontal bars of the lattice mats corresponding to these in the insertion direction of the clamping pieces and guides directed parallel to the longitudinal extension of the fence.
In this way, on the one hand, the positional securing of the clamping pieces against displacement transversely to their driving direction is improved and, on the other hand, an assembly aid for the assembler is formed.
For the purpose of simplifying manufacture and assembly, it can further be provided that a plurality of clamping pieces are combined to form a clamping strip.
A measure to improve the position of the clamping pieces is seen in the fact that the clamping pieces have sloping infeed inclinations and counter-acting barbs. A preferred embodiment is that the clamping pieces are made of plastic.
Furthermore, it can preferably be provided that the clamping pieces and / or the surface of the gutter legs corresponding to them have a surface which increases friction.
In addition, it can advantageously be provided that the clamping pieces and the gutter legs have interlocking detents and recesses on the mutually facing, abutting surfaces in the desired position of the clamping piece.

The lattice fence essentially consists of fence posts 1 and lattice mats 2 which can be fastened to them and which are composed of a plurality of horizontally and vertically directed vertical bars 3 and horizontal bars 4, each arranged parallel and at a distance from one another. The lattice mats 2 are laid in such a way that they are laid in the area of the posts 1 so as to meet and align with one another. The separation point of the grid mats is therefore in the middle of the posts 1. Instead of the exactly horizontal and vertical alignment of the vertical bars 3 and horizontal bars 4, an inclined arrangement of at least the vertical bars is also possible. To hold the mesh mats 2 point the fence posts 1 each have two approximately U-shaped, vertically directed channels 5 with mouths directed away from one another in the longitudinal extent of the fence. In these channels 5, the lattice mats 2 with their edge edges running parallel to the fence post 1 from the free end of the fence posts 1, so in the drawing figure 1 from above into the channels 5 of the previously installed fence posts 1 can be inserted.
In the exemplary embodiments according to FIGS. 1, 2, 3, 4, 12, one of the two legs of the channel 5 has a plurality of the other legs of the channel 5 in protruding projections 6. The clear width of the trough 5 between the free end of the projection 6 and the projection-free leg of the trough 5 is dimensioned at least slightly larger than the width of the grid mat 2 (measured in the cross-sectional direction) corresponds to, and that measured from that on the projection-free leg of the trough 5 Legs of the mesh mat 2 can be put on as far as the lateral end of the horizontal bar 4 of the mesh mat 2 pointing towards the projection. This ensures that the mesh mat can be pushed into the corresponding channel from above without the projection 6 preventing it. Furthermore, as can be seen in particular from FIG. 1, FIG. 12 and FIG. 21, at least one clamping piece 7 is inserted parallel to the horizontal bars 4 between the non-protruding leg of the channel 5 and the end of the grid mat 2 inserted into the channel, by means of the latter the end of the grid mat 2 can be pressed against the leg provided with the projection 6 and can be fixed in this position. In this position, the protrusion 6 protrudes into the vertical plane spanned by the area of the horizontal bars 4 facing the protrusion 6, so that lifting of the mesh mat 2 upwards is prevented by the positive engagement between the protrusions 6 and the horizontal bars 4.
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 5 and 8, with an otherwise identical design, a projection 6 'is provided on the clamping piece 7, which lies on the surface of the clamping piece 7 facing the grid mat 2. The projection 6 'protrudes in the installation target position (for example according to FIG. 5) into the vertical plane spanned by the area of the horizontal bars 4 facing the projection 6'. This also provides a form-fitting lift and slip protection after driving in the clamping piece. Another alternative is shown schematically in FIG. 9, where the horizontal rod 4 has at least one projection 6 ″ on its side facing the clamping piece 7, which protrudes into the vertical plane in this position, as is shown schematically in FIG. 9, for example. that is spanned by the surface of the clamping piece 7 facing the grid mat 2. An anti-lift and anti-slip device is also formed in this way by positive locking.

The term positive locking does not have to mean that the projection 6, 6 ', 6''is in direct contact with a horizontal bar 4, but it also includes the possibility that in the mounting position there is a distance between the corresponding projection and the horizontal bar 4, but it does in a lifting attempt in extreme cases is minimized to such an extent that the projection rests on the horizontal bar or, in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 9, on the clamping piece.
The fence post 1 is preferably designed as a rectangular profile tube, on the one side surface of which a T-profile with legs 8 and the foot part 9 merging into a side surface of the fence post 1 is formed. The legs 8, together with the side surface of the profile tube forming the fence post, form the two U-shaped channels 5 lying in alignment with one another.
The fence post 1 including the T-profile can be designed, for example, as an extruded profile according to the exemplary embodiment in FIG. 2 or as a profile folded from sheet metal according to the exemplary embodiment in FIG.
The projections 6 can be formed by knob-like features, beads or material accumulations distributed over the height of the relatively outer leg 8 of the channel 5. The clamping pieces 7 can, as is indicated in particular in FIGS. 7 and 8, have a wedge-shaped cross section. For the purpose of securing the position or for the purpose of assembly aid, the clamping pieces 7 and / or with them have corresponding legs of the trough 5 or horizontal bars 4 of the lattice mats 2 in the insertion direction of the clamping pieces 7 and guides 10, 11 directed parallel to the longitudinal extension of the fence. Of course, it is also possible to combine several clamping pieces 7 to form a clamping strip. It is also possible to provide the clamping pieces 7 with inclined run-in slopes 12 in the insertion direction and barbs 13 acting in opposite directions, as can be seen from FIG. 10. For the sake of simplicity, the clamping pieces 7 can be made in one piece from plastic. Preferably, the clamping pieces 7 and / or the surfaces of the legs of the trough 5 corresponding to them can have a surface which increases friction and is particularly effective against the driving direction. It can also be provided that, as can be seen from the exemplary embodiment in FIG. 5, the clamping pieces 7 and the legs of the channel 5 have interlocking catches 14 or locking depressions 15 on the mutually facing, abutting surfaces in the desired position of the clamping piece 7.
Different shapes of grid mats are shown schematically in the drawing figures 13 to 20. In the lattice mat 2 according to FIGS. 13 and 14, the horizontal bar 4 is designed as a flat iron, while the vertical bars 3 designed as round bars reach through the horizontal bar in the middle and are welded to it in the area of the through-hole.

In the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 15 and 16, the horizontal bar is designed as a U-profile, through the perforated base of which the vertical bars 3 are inserted off-center and welded in the area of the perforations. In the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 17 and 18, the lattice mat is in principle formed from a structural steel mesh mat, in the case of round bars forming the horizontal bars 4, the vertical bars 3 forming further round bars are welded on both sides. In the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 19 and 20, the horizontal bars 4 are each formed by two round bars running parallel to one another, which are welded on both sides to round bars 3 forming vertical bars. All of these embodiments can be combined with one and the same fence post 1 with channel profiles 5, only the condition having to be met that the clear width between the projections 6 and the non-protruding flank of the channels 5 must correspond to the maximum cross-sectional dimension of the lattice mats 2. Of course, the channel mouth can also be wider than the cross-section of the grid mat, but it must not be smaller, since the grid mat would then no longer be able to be inserted. In order to ensure that a quasi locking between the horizontal bars 4 and the projection 6, for example according to the exemplary embodiment of FIGS. 2 and 3, is ensured after the clamping piece 7 has been driven in, the projection 6 must be formed so far that it projects into the channel gap be that, after driving in the clamping piece 7, it protrudes into the insertion plane area spanned by the horizontal bars 4.
The invention is variable in many ways within the disclosure.

  5. Lattice fence according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the clamping pieces (7) exhibit a wedge-shaped cross-section.
  6. Lattice fence according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the clamping pieces (7) and/or the flanges of the groove (5) or the horizontal bars (4) of the lattice panels (2) communicating with the said clamping pieces exhibit guides (10, 11) directed in the direction of insertion of the clamping pieces (7) and parallel to the longitudinal extent of the fence.
  7. Lattice fence according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterized in that a plurality of clamping pieces are amalgamated into a connecting strip.
  8. Lattice fence according to one of Claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the clamping pieces (7) exhibit inlet slopes (12) inclined in the direction of insertion and opposite-acting barbs (13).
  9. Lattice fence according to one of Claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the clamping pieces (7) consist of plastic.
  10. Lattice fence according to one of Claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the clamping pieces (7) and/or that face of the groove flanges communicating with the said clamping pieces exhibit a friction-increasing surface configuration.
  11. Lattice fence according to one of Claims 1 to 10, characterized in that the clamping pieces (7) and the groove flanges have, on the faces which face one another and bear one on the other, catches (14) and locking depressions (15) which engage one in the other in the desired position of the clamping piece (7).
