Die obere Halterung 12' ist massiv und mit dem Abfallsammler einstückig ausgebildet. Die Halterung 12' ist vom Gelenkstück 14', das mit der Seitenwand 19 verbunden ist, getragen. Die Halterung besitzt zwei Schenkel 3 und 4, die mit den Schenkeln 1 und 2 des Gelenkstückes 14' gelenkig verbindbar sind. Im unteren Bereich ist ein Lagerkörper 10 vorgesehen, in dem die Stange 23 gelagert ist. Wird nun der Abfallsammler 10 aus seiner in Fig. 1 dargestellten Einschwenkposition in eine Ausschwenkposition versetzt, dann wird der Deckel 30, der im Bereich 5 schwenkbar gelagert ist, nach oben angehoben, da die obere Kante der Halterung 12' mit der Bodenseite des Deckels 30 zusammenarbeitet. Der Bolzen 20 (Fig. 2) kann auch so ausgebildet sein, daß er die Form eines Kegelstumpfes besitzt, so daß das Aufsetzen des Abfallsammlers 10 vereinfacht wird. Waste bin, having at least one holder, at least one body which comprises pivotal members (14, 15, 16) and has a substantially vertically extending pivot axis (18), said body being connectable, for example, to a lateral wall (19) of a cupboard, and a pivotable and axis-symmetrical cover (30), which is provided with a substantially horizontally extending rod (60), which is pivotably connectable to said cover, is connectable to one of the pivotal members (14) and extends substantially in the direction of the axis of symmetry (61) of the cover (30), the axis of symmetry (61) intersecting the rod (60) at an angle in the region of the pivotal member (14).
  2. Waste bin according to claim 1, characterised in that the cover (30) has two selectively utilisable mountings for the rod (60), which is detachably connectable to said cover.
  3. Waste bin according to one of claims 1 or 2, characterised in that the top end of the waste bin, or respectively of the upper holder (12') is coverable by the cover and lies in a plane, which is inclined outwardly from the cupboard and extends in the direction of the axis of symmetry (61).
  4. Waste bin according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that a portion (63) of the rod (60) engages in a recess (74, 76) in the pivotal member (14).
  5. Waste bin according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the portion (63) is bent relative to the rod (60).
  6. Waste bin according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the cover (30) comprises two pivotally interconnectable portions (102, 104), and in that the pivot axis of these portions (102, 104) extends transversely relative to the axis of the cover.
  7. Waste bin according to claim 6, characterised in that the pivot axis (108) extends at right angles to the axis of symmetry.
  8. Waste bin according to claim 6 or 7, characterised in that the joint (110), which connects the portions (102, 104), is a film hinge.
  9. Waste bin according to one of claims 1 to 8, characterised in that the pivotal member is substantially L-shaped in a vertical cross-section, and in that the vertically extending legs (78) of the pivotal member (14) has a substantially trapezoidal cross-section, its lateral walls (80, 82) each having an aperture for the portion (63) of the rod.
  10. Waste bin according to claim 9, characterised in that two downwardly inclined projection members (73, 75) are provided in the central region of the vertically extending leg (78), such projection members serving to limit the pivotal movement and permitting the cover (30) to be supported thereon via its edges (97, 98).
  11. Waste bin according to one of claims 1 to 10, characterised in that the pivotal member is a symmetrical body and is integrally formed.
