Description

The invention relates to a finger protection profile for sectional doors with panels which are pivotally connected to each other by means of a hinge.

Such composed of individual panels sectional doors are known in the art in a variety of configurations. They serve in particular as garage doors. When opening such a sectional door pivot the individual panels relative to each other to be able to be pushed one after the other into the open position of the door can.

In garage doors, the individual panels consist essentially of metal or plastic. Even though sectional doors can be moved fully automatically into the open and closed positions, in practice it frequently happens that the user attempts to support the movement of the door manually, in particular if defects occur on the drive or in the guidance of the door.

In the pivoted state of the individual panels of the sectional door is formed at the edges of adjacent panels an opening into which a finger can engage in careless handling. Then move the panels back to a coplanar position (ie a position in which the main levels the panels collapse), the opening closes and the edges of the panels form a pair of pliers which can crush or even sever the finger.

In the prior art devices are already known to avoid injury to fingers in sectional doors. The known devices are very expensive and expensive.

The invention has for its object to provide a finger protection profile for sectional doors of the type mentioned, which is inexpensive to produce. In particular, an inventive finger protection profile should be installed in known, commercially available panels.

The invention provided for solving this object finger protection profile is characterized in that it is fastened by means of anchoring on the spring and having a front piece which is aligned coplanar with front outer shells of the panels in the non-pivoted position of the panels in the closed state of the sectional door.

The finger protection profile can be continuously cast in one piece from plastic and is thus inexpensive to produce. Its installation in the panels of a sectional door requires little effort in terms of material and work.

In a preferred embodiment, the finger protection profile according to the invention is provided with an anchoring, which engages in a recess which is formed in the spring (projection) of the associated panel. Such spring / groove arrangements in adjacent edges of panels are known as such in the art and are exploited by the invention.

In a further preferred embodiment, the finger protection profile according to the invention is provided at least with a cavity and a convex portion which engages in the closed state of the sectional door in the adjacent groove of the adjacent panel to ensure a sealing of the sectional door by elastic contact with the components of the adjacent panel. In this case, the spherical section can press against an elastic seal, which is arranged in the groove of the adjacent panel.

According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention it is provided that a color layer is applied to the front piece of the finger protection profile. In this case, the plastic material of the finger protection profile itself does not need to be colored, which would reduce the life of the material.

An essential feature of the invention thus consists in the provision of an elastic element between adjacent edges of panels such that when pivoted panels between the same advised finger is not crushed, but is only pressed due to the flexibility of the finger protection profile and can be pulled out.

An exemplary embodiment of the invention is described in more detail below with reference to the drawing. It shows:
  • Figure 1 shows schematically a section through two panels of a sectional door with a finger protection profile according to the invention in the closed state of the door.
  • FIG. 2 shows an illustration according to FIG. 1 with panels pivoted relative to one another; FIG.
  • 3 shows a schematic section through a commercially available panels.
  • Fig. 4 is a representation corresponding to Figure 2, wherein on the front piece of the finger protection profile, a colored profile is placed.
  • 5 shows a detail from FIG. 4 in perspective view; and
  • 6 shows a modification of the embodiment according to FIG. 5.

The sectional door shown in Fig. 1 in a partial section has a plurality of panels, two of which are shown and provided with the reference numerals 10, 12. The two panels 10, 12 are articulated as such of conventional type and by means of a hinge 14 to each other. The two panels 10, 12 are connected to wings 14 'and 14˝ of the hinge 14. The distance between the panels 10, 12 can be varied in the direction of the arrow 16. In the prior art, the distance of the panels is less than shown in Figs. 1 and 2, so that a groove 28 and a spring 30 engage with each other, wherein the spring 30 abuts against a seal 26.

Die Paneele 10, 12 weisen jeweils Außenschalen 18 bzw. 20 auf, die mit einer Isolationsfüllung 22 bzw. 24 ausgeschäumt sind. The panels 10, 12 each have outer shells 18 and 20, respectively, which are foamed with an insulation filling 22 or 24.

In the embodiment of the invention shown in the figures, the two panels 10, 12 are brought in the direction of the arrow 16 at such a distance that a finger protection profile 34 fits between the edges of the panels. The finger protection profile 34 engages with an anchoring 38 in a recess 32 which is formed in the spring 30. For this purpose, the anchoring 38 spreader 38 ', the elastic a constricted Behind opening of the recess 32 to achieve a non-positive attachment of the finger protection profile 34 on the panel 12.

The finger protection profile 34 is integrally injection molded from plastic. It has a cavity 36, and a front piece 40, which faces the front side (visible side) of the sectional door.

Fig. 2 shows the arrangement of FIG. 1 in the pivot state. In comparison with the prior art, it requires a much greater clumsiness to pinch the finger between the panels, since the finger protection profile with a crowned portion 46 above the cavity 44, not only because of its elasticity a squeezing of the finger, but also an insertion of the finger in a critical gap largely prevented.

If the panel 10 moves from the pivoting position shown in FIG. 2 to the closed position of the gate shown in FIG. 1, a finger located on the crowned section 46 will not be clamped in the manner of a pincer, but only pressed, so that it can be pulled out without danger of injury ,

In the closed state of the sectional door, the front piece 40 of the finger protection profile 34 according to FIG. 1 is coplanar with the front surfaces of the outer shells 18, 20 of the panels. The result is a virtually continuous smooth visible surface of the sectional door. Since a coloring of the plastic of the finger protection profile 34 could affect the life of the profile, a color layer 42 is applied in front of the front piece 40, which can be optionally designed, in particular in the color of the outer shells 18, 20 of the panels.

In a modification of the embodiment described above with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2, it is also possible to secure the finger protection profile in the groove of the upper panels and to achieve the sealing effect by engagement of a crowned portion on the opposite projection (spring) of the adjacent panels. However, this embodiment is less preferred than the one described above.

Fig. 3 shows a section through a conventional panel 12 having a spring 30 and a recess 32. In the longitudinally continuous recess 32, a seal 48 is arranged in the form of an elastic sealing cord. This sealing cord 48 can be removed, so that a finger protection profile according to the invention can be fastened by means of the anchoring 38 on the panel 12. For this purpose, the anchoring 38 is pushed into the recess 32, wherein the two expanding jaws having spreading part 38 'rests against the inner walls of the recess 32. The opening diameter of the recess 32 is smaller than its largest diameter, so that the anchor 38 can be difficult to pull out of the recess 32.

Außerdem ist es möglich, unterschiedlich geformte und/oder gefärbte Profile 50 auf dem Fingerschutzprofil 34 zu befestigen.4 and 5, the finger guard profile 34 adjacent to its front piece 40 in the longitudinal direction of continuous grooves 52, 52 ', so that a colored, elastic profile 50 can pinch or postpone. This has the advantage that a complex application of paint on the front piece 40 can be omitted. In addition, it is possible to attach differently shaped and / or colored profiles 50 on the finger protection profile 34.

Fig. 6 shows a variant in which the colored profile 50 'is curved convexly on the front, so that the bumps of the panels is given a clear profiling. The colored profile 50 'shown in FIG. 6 engages with clamping strips 54, 54' in grooves 52 and 52 'according to FIG. 5. The exchangeable colored profiles 50, 50' allow the finger protection profile to be used universally and the sectional doors to be selected in color and / or shape.
