Claims (2)

  1. A bending type straightening machine for straightening elongate stock,
       the machine comprising a press housing (1) through which the stock (10) can be guided lengthwise,
       there being disposed in the press housing (1) straightening abutments (5, 6) which are spaced apart from one another lengthwise of the stock (10) and which define a straightening zone,
       there being provided straightening rams (8) which are disposed between the straightening abutments (5, 6) in the press housing (1) and which act in the opposite direction to the straightening abutments (5, 6),
       there being provided a conveyor (20) which conveys the stock (10) in portions through the housing (1),
       measuring devices (T₁, T₂, T₃) being provided which are spaced apart from one another lengthwise of the stock (10), are adjacent the straightening abutments (5, 6) and straightening rams (8) and measure the displacement of the boundaries of the stock (10) in parallel directions,
       characterised in that
       a fourth measuring device (T₄) measuring in the same direction is disposed outside the straightening zone (3) and at a distance after, as considered in the direction (4) of conveyance, the last measuring device (T₃) and delivers a correction signal for additionally acting on the straightening operation.
  2. A machine according to claim 1, characterised in that all the measuring devices (T₁, T₂, T₃, T₄) are connected to a computer (35).
