Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a magazine or a comparable printing unit which has a plurality of sheet-shaped pages bound together in book form on a spine.
The printing unit can be a magazine, but also a newspaper, brochure, prospectus or even a book. The individual pages can be held together by conventional bookbinding technology such as stapling, binding, lum pans, etc.
It is desirable to provide deposits in certain magazines or other printed matter, which the reader can separate from this relevant magazine and keep separately, in order to be able to keep certain information of permanent value without having to keep the entire magazine. Corresponding sheets could be punched so that the sheets taken from the magazine could be filed and collected directly in folders. If the information to be extracted from a magazine is arranged on individual sheets, it is unproblematic to separate the relevant sheets from the magazine individually, for example if the sheets are bound in with a perforation running parallel to the spine. However, if the information to be extracted from the magazine is extensive, so that it fills four or more pages, for example, it is often inconvenient to separate the sheets individually because the related information could then be separated from one another.
The object of the invention is to provide a magazine or the like. to create, from which information that spans more than two pages can be separated so that this information stays together and can be clearly filed in a separate folder.
According to the invention, this object is achieved with a magazine or other printing unit which has the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.
The invention creates a magazine, brochure or even a book from which individual sheets can be separated, which can be filed in a separate folder. These sheets are expediently connected to one another, i.e. there are at least two sheets lying one above the other glued to one another in the area of the binding margin or in the area of the perforation, so that at least two successive sheets each form a unit which can be separated from the magazine and the like and filed in a folder.
The interconnected sheets forming one unit are expediently designed such that the lower or lower sheet is wider than the glued-on upper sheets. It is therefore possible to provide information on the bottom sheet at the outer edge, which is also visible when the sheet or the page above has not been folded away.
Such a combination of at least two sheets of a printing unit lying one on top of the other is achieved with a novel folding technique, namely in that two sheets of the same format are laterally offset one above the other and glued together in the central area and the whole thing then folds in the middle. The fold corresponds to the back of the bound printing unit. A perforation running parallel to the fold is attached to the side of the fold and an adhesive strip next to it. The thus formed, multiple sheets and thus pages having folded sheets are expediently provided with a perforation. The perforation can also be applied after gluing and folding. The whole thing can then be added to the desired magazine or printing unit for binding.
Of the superimposed sheets of each sheet unit formed from two or more sheets, the odd sheet units or the upper sheet are narrower than the even or bottom sheets.
The invention creates the possibility of separating parts of printing units such as magazines from them and filing them separately, it being possible to collect and store various information in a clearly arranged manner.
In the drawing, an exemplary embodiment of a magazine designed according to the invention is shown, namely in a plan view of the opened magazine, from which a removable sheet unit according to the invention can be seen.
The magazine (1) contains a plurality of sheets (2) which are connected to one another at a central back (3). In the illustrated embodiment, the sheets (2) are glued together at their corresponding edges by lum pelvis on the back (3).
Individual sheets (4) and (5) lying directly on top of one another are designed separately and together to form a unit connected. The sheets (4) and (5) are glued to one another in the area of the back (3), specifically in the area of a strip (6). Immediately next to this strip (6) through holes (7) are provided in both sheets (4) and (5), which are used for filing in a folder. In the area of the glued strip (6), the two sheets (4) and (5) lying one above the other are provided with a continuous perforation (8) in order to be able to separate them from the magazine (1) as a unit. A narrow strip (9) then remains between the back (3) and the perforation (8), so that the back (3) is not damaged when the sheets (4) and (5) stuck together are separated.
Since the perforation (8) is inside the strip (6) in which the sheets (4) and (5) are glued together, the sheets (4) and (5) remain even after they have been removed from the magazine (1) together and still form a unit.
It can be seen that the upper sheet (4) is narrower than the lower sheet (5). The section (10) of the sheet (5) projecting beyond the sheet (4) can be printed with an informative imprint, for example a keyword and / or a special color.
The information on the sheets (4) and (5) combined into one unit can be read easily and clearly page by page, because the pages (4) and (5) can be opened and turned over like in a book or magazine, even if they are filed in a folder by means of the holes (7) and glued together at the binding margin. You can leave them in the folder for reading, but you can also remove them from the folder.
