- the other jaw 27 is applied by the jack 28 against the group of fins thus clamping this group of fins.
- the end piece 29 is applied against the tire 6, the endoscope 32 still being in position.
- the endoscope 32 is raised and the actual riveting is carried out.
- the snap 10 comes into contact with the post 4 and, by a concentric movement at the periphery of the post 4, flattens the latter.
- the duration and the force applied can be precisely adjusted to take account of the tenons used.
- the snap 10 then automatically moves away from the stud 4.
- the bandage 6 is unclamped by moving the end piece 29 backward.
- the group of fins is unclamped by spreading the jaws 27 then 25; then we unbridle the vertical and horizontal movements of the riveting head 9.
- the endoscope 32 is replaced, which is centered on another tenon 4 and so on.
- the displacement of the riveting head 9 is easy when passing from the lug of one fin to the corresponding lug of another fin since they are located in the same vertical plane; it then suffices to move the carriage 14 along the circular segments 17 to pass from one stud 4 to another.
- the axis of the riveting head 9 is no longer chosen in a horizontal plane passing through the axis of the rotor (where it can move by rotation of the plate) but in a plane passing through the 'axis of the rotor and making an angle close to 45 ° to 90 ° with the horizontal plane.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a method and a device for riveting a bandage on the fins of a rotor wheel in order to bind them together, each fin comprising at its top one or more studs insertable in one or more holes of the tire, said studs making an acute angle c with the median plane of the wheel orthogonal to the axis of the rotor.
No. 4,437,213 describes an automatic method of riveting a bandage on a fin wheel with radial lugs in which the wheel is deployed in front of a riveting head which has a forward movement, then withdrawing in the radial direction after each riveting. This process is inapplicable when the studs make an angle with the plane of the wheel because there would be deformation of the fins during riveting and this could not take place. This is why currently such riveting is carried out manually using a pneumatic gun or any other equivalent shock device.
However, such a process does not ensure constant repetition of the riveting and its application involves particular constraints due to the legal provisions concerning the sound level.
The method according to the invention allowing regular, repetitive riveting without medical or legislative restrictions is characterized in that a riveting head is adjusted for a determined wheel so, on the one hand, that it can move according to a circular motion passing in the vicinity of the vertices, fins of the wheel and, on the other hand, that when it is above a tenon, its axis is in the extension of the axis of the tenon, then we performs the following group of riveting operations:
- we center a first tenon in front of the riveting head,
- we clamp the vertical and horizontal movements of the head,
- a group of fins is clamped together comprising the fin to be bandaged with the riveting head,
- the bandage is clamped against the top of the fin,
- we rivet the post,
- we unclamp the bandage and the group of fins,
- we unleash the vertical and horizontal movements of the head,
- then the head is moved so as to bring a second tenon in front of the riveting head,
- The group of riveting operations is then started again until all the tenons of a bandage have been thus treated.
The flanges fixed on the riveting head are interchangeable and are only used for studs having a given inclination with the axis of the fin, that is to say with the vertical plane orthogonal to the axis of the rotor which is horizontal .
The flanges have vertical end portions which carry jaws which block the pack of fins.
The riveting head is provided with a tip and a cylinder which comes to apply the tip against the bandage to press it on the fin during riveting.

L'endoscope passe à travers l'ouverture 31.In front of the bolt 10 is mounted a
The process according to the invention is as follows. Then by moving the head thanks to the
The other jaw 27 is applied by the jack 28 against the group of fins thus clamping this group of fins.
On applique l'embout 29 contre le bandage 6, l'endoscope 32 étant toujours en position.The
The
The displacement of the
When passing from a lug 4 of a fin to another lug of the same fin, it is necessary to move the
According to a variant of the invention, the axis of the
Thus the forces collected by the riveting device cause less deformation.
