Definitions
- the invention relates to a shock absorber for sports and hunting bows, with devices for releasably attaching a stabilizing counterweight in the weft direction on the bow.
- a stabilizer intended for an archer which consists of a tubular rod, on the front end of which a stabilizing counterweight can be screwed on and which is to be frontally attached to the bow by means of an elastic plastic bushing.
- Such an elastic bearing does not prevent the bow from becoming restless when aiming and firing.
- GB-A 12 96 201 proposes a telescopic stabilizer, the telescopic tube of which is rigidly attached to the bend and the head end of which consists of a container filled with mercury or oil. In this embodiment, the shocks and vibrations transmitted to the container are to be absorbed by the fluid.
- the object of the invention is to further develop a shock absorber of the generic type in such a way that the aim and launch unrest is reduced as much as possible.
- the inventive design of the shock absorber as a fluidic damper advantageously allows a damped movement in the weft direction when firing between countermass and bow, but the masses appear to be "rigidly" mounted horizontally and vertically to the weft direction. This results in the greatest possible target and launch accuracy in connection with damping in the firing direction. Remaining energy remaining in the bow is absorbed immediately after the arrow is fired and the firing shock is considerably reduced.
- means for attaching a counterweight e.g. B. a stabilizing spider may be provided, or the housing may be formed directly as a counterweight, especially for hunting bows.
- the shock absorber is designed as a single-tube damper and a separating piston which is acted upon by a compression spring and delimits the oil space of the housing is provided in the housing in order to achieve volume compensation in the event of temperature changes.
- a hydraulic shock absorber 2 is mounted on the bow 1 shown in FIG. 1 in such a way that its piston rod 3 points in the weft direction.
- a conventional, stabilizing counterweight 5 is fastened to the housing 4 of the shock absorber 2 and, in the exemplary embodiment, has the shape of a so-called stabilizing spider.
- the piston rod 3 of the shock absorber 2 is provided with a piston 6.
- the shock absorber 2 is designed as a single-tube damper.
- One or more bores 7 are arranged in the piston 6 and connect oil spaces 9 located on both sides of the piston 6.
- the oil spaces 9 are closed by plugs 10, 11, of which the plug 10 is fixedly attached to the housing 4, while the other plug 11 is movably mounted on the piston rod 3 and acts as a separating piston.
- a spring 8 is arranged in each case, which holds the piston 6 in a central position.
- a plug 13 is fixedly attached. Between this stopper 13 and the axially displaceable stopper 11 there is a prestressing spring 12.
- the stopper 10 and 11 are sealed off from the piston rod 3 by expansion ring seals 14 acted upon by the oil pressure.
- the piston rod 3 is equipped with a thread 15 and a lock nut 16 for attachment to the arch 1.
- the stabilizing counterweight 5 can be inserted parallel to the piston rod 3 into a sleeve 17 attached to the housing 4.
- the shock absorber 2 causes the vibration energy of the mass of the sheet 1 to be transmitted via the piston rod 3 to the piston 6, which slides in the housing connected to a hydraulic medium, preferably oil, and to the stabilizing counterweight 5.
- a hydraulic medium preferably oil
- the piston 6 deflects, it displaces the oil through the bores 7 into the other oil chamber 9.
- the hydraulic shock absorber 2 has a so-called progressive characteristic curve, ie it is able to adapt to the respective load. The higher the pull weight of the bow 1 and thus the proportion of the residual energy, the stronger the damping.
- the hydraulic shock absorber 2 absorbs the residual energy almost completely and destroys it by converting it directly into heat through internal friction. This damping relieves the entire system and increases the service life, because the middle piece and the limbs of the bow 1 are shielded from material-stressing stress waves and the associated screw connections, e.g. B. for visor, button and crossbar, against unintentional loosening due to vibrations.
- a pneumatically acting shock absorber can also be provided.
- the housing 4 can be designed as a counterweight, in particular for hunting bows.

Abstract
Description
- Fig. 1
