Description

The invention relates to a spring support for a motor vehicle door arrester, in which a rigid door holding rod, which is pivotably articulated on a door arrangement part, door or door pillar, penetrates a cold housing rigidly fastened to the other door arrangement part by means of a support arm arranged on the free loading arm and on this via a support arm supported torsion bar spring is freely rotatably mounted load roller.

In motor vehicle door locks of this type, the load spring designed as a torsion spring for applying a braking or holding force of the door lock has an S- or C-shaped curvature and is held or supported within the holder housing via its shaft part and also via its load arm , in such a way that its free load arm is deflected by the holder housing during the passage of the locking recesses in the door holding rod. As has been found in practice, this deflection of the load arm of the door holding rod also causes the shaft part of the torsion bar spring to rotate relative to the regions of the holding housing which support it, which results in a noise development within the door arrester, which increases with the operating time of the door arrester and thus with increasing rebound the support of the shaft part of the torsion bar spring becomes larger. Attempts have been made to solve this problem of noise generation by greasing the shaft part of the door holding rod, but it has been shown that this measure is not sufficient to prevent noise development within the door stay over its entire service life. It is also used as a torsion spring trained load spring equipped, with a door hinge formed from hinge profiles structurally combined door locks known to store the shaft part of the torsion spring by means of a bearing shell made of maintenance-free bearing material in a corresponding recess of the hinge leaf of one hinge half, the fixing of the shaft part of the torsion spring and the bearing shell Torsion spring overlapping embossments of the hinge leaf. Such support of the torsion spring is only possible where the shaft part of the torsion spring lies over a sufficient length in a recess of the hinge leaf, so that a certain axial movement of the bearing shell can be allowed without this resulting in noise leading to contact between the Part of the shaft of the torsion spring and the hinge leaf supporting it.

The invention is therefore based on the object of using a door arrester which can also be used independently of the door hinges and is equipped with a torsion spring door arrester of the type mentioned at the beginning, which folds out of a sheet metal material blank, in such a way that it operates without noise over its entire service life even with the least possible production outlay.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the torsion bar spring is received in an elongated hole recess of the holder housing folded from a sheet material blank and its shaft part is supported within the holder housing by means of a bearing shell made of self-supporting and maintenance-free bearing material, the bearing shell being additionally preselected by mechanically acting holding means is held in position within the holder housing between the shaft part and the support arm. The bearing shell bridges the space between the two to support the shaft part of the Torsion bar spring forming side walls of the holder housing and is additionally protected against wandering in the axial direction by radially positioned ears resting on the outer surfaces of the side walls of the holder housing. This arrangement and design of the bearing shell results in a permanent, maintenance-free and friction-free support of the shaft part of the torsion spring that extends over the entire service life of the door arrester, which in turn guarantees a lasting freedom from noise. Based on the fact that the bearing shell is held essentially by the pretension between the shaft part and the support arm of the torsion bar within the recess of the side walls of the holder housing, the implementation of this mounting of the shaft part of the torsion bar spring does not require any special additional manufacturing outlay for the door arrester.

An additional securing of the position of the bearing shell can be achieved without further manufacturing effort for the door arrester in that the bearing shell is at the same time also clawed in the outer surfaces of the side walls of the holder housing via the radially flared ears, which is made possible in the simplest way that the ears have a cut directed at an acute angle to the longitudinal axis of the bearing shell.

According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention, it can also be provided that the bearing shell has at least one radially outward projection by means of which it is secured within the holder housing on its transverse wall to prevent it from wandering in both the circumferential and longitudinal directions.

It is within the scope of the invention that the radially outward projection of the bearing shell is arranged centrally by at least one of the bearing shell with respect to its longitudinal extent and with respect to its cross-sectional profile Wart is formed.
In this context, it can of course also be provided that the bearing shell is supported against migration on a transverse wall or on the two side walls of the holder housing via a plurality of radial projections or warts directed radially to its cross-sectional profile.
