Abstract

A ski binding for a cross-country or touring ski in which a boot (100) is inserted into a sleeve (40) and held firmly therein by means of a locking pin (32), when a catch (60) prevents the mutual movement of the sleeve (40) and the locking pin (32). A double groove (43a, 43b) permits locking even if an obstacle (13) prevents the bottom (41) of the sleeve (40) from being completely lowered.

Description

Skibindung für einen Langlauf- oder TourenskiSki binding for a cross-country or touring ski

The invention relates to a ski binding for a cross-country or touring ski, with a bearing block for fastening it to the ski and with a holding shell for receiving the front end region of a ski shoe, which carries a U-shaped bracket in plan view at its front end region, whose crossbar is spaced from the tip of the ski shoe and forms an opening with it, with the sole edge of the ski shoe inserted into the binding resting on the top and bottom of the holding shell, which holding shell in the open position of the binding in the sense of a pivoting upward around a front of the skid and the horizontal transverse axis mounted in the walls of the pedestal is spring-loaded and can be brought down into a closed position by pivoting by means of the ski boot, in which at least one locking pin of the binding penetrates the opening on the ski boot from below and a pawl which can be pivoted about a further horizontal transverse axis by means of aa groove cooperating projection is locked and thereby fixes the holding shell and locking pin relative to each other.

Such a device has become known, for example from AT-PS 386 127, which has already proven itself in practice. The only small disadvantage that has been observed so far is that sometimes there is icing or hard snow in the very last part of the closing path of the holding shell, so that it is only possible to remove the U-shaped bracket on the ski boot completely after removing the obstacle or with considerable effort over the locking pin supported on the ski.

The object of the invention is therefore to avoid the disadvantage shown and to ensure the functionality of the binding regardless of whether the holding shell can really be pressed down completely.

To achieve this object, it is provided according to the invention that at least one further closed position of the binding is defined by at least one further groove and / or a further projection which can be latched with the pawl, in which the bottom of the holding shell, viewed in the vertical direction, of the base plate of the pedestal is at a greater distance than in the first latching position of the pawl.

Even a European patent application 176 951 shows a device with two locking positions for the pawl, but does not solve the problem on which the invention is based. The two rest positions. in the known device correspond on the one hand to the position of use and on the other hand to the open position of the binding. Two closed positions, on the other hand, of which the first is also reached when ice prevents the complete approach of the locking pin and the holding shell, have not previously been proposed.

The constructive embodiment of the inventive concept can obviously be carried out with the same effect in that a projection on the pawl is associated with two alternately interacting grooves on the holding shell or, conversely, two Vars jumps on the pawl are alternately locked with a groove on the holding shell.

The design of the binding according to the invention has the consequence that the cross-country skier can immediately go onto the cross-country ski trail, even if the binding initially only reaches the latching position in which the locking pin has not yet been completely scraped in. After a few steps, the ice, which is initially a hindrance, is removed and the pawl, which is arranged on the same swivel part as the locking pin, engages in the position in which the locking pin has penetrated as far as possible into the opening in front of the shoe.

Further details of the invention will now be described with reference to the drawing.

Fig. 1 zeigt eine erfindungsgemäße Skibindung in Einsteigposition im Längsschnitt nach der Linie I-I von Fig. 2, Fig. 2 die Skibindung in Fahrstellung in Draufsicht, Fig. 3 die Halteschale der Skibindung mit eingesetztem Skischuh in Draufsicht, Fig. 4 die Skibindung in Fahrstellung im Längsschnitt (erste Verriegelungsposition), Fig. 5 die Skibindung in Fahrstellung im Längsschnitt (zweite Verriegelungsposition).Fig. 1 shows a ski binding according to the invention in the entry position in longitudinal section along the line II of Fig. 2, Fig. 2 shows the ski binding in the driving position in plan view, Fig. 3 shows the ski binding holder with the ski boot inserted in plan view, Fig. 4 shows the ski binding in driving position in longitudinal section (first locking position), Fig. 5 shows the ski binding in the driving position in longitudinal section (second locking position).

The drawing figures show a ski binding for a cross-country or touring ski 1 and associated ski boot 100. A bearing block 10 is mounted on the top of a ski 1 by means of two screws attached. It consists of a base plate 11 with two walls 12, which begin at the front end of the base plate 11 facing the ski tip and lead approximately to the middle of the base plate 11 and carry a horizontal transverse axis 20 in the latter area.

Oben schließen an die Seitenwände 42 Führungsleisten 45 an.A pivoting part 30 is attached to the transverse axis 20 and rests with its base 31 on the base plate 11. At the end remote from the transverse axis 20, the base 31 carries a locking pin 32. A holding shell 40 is also attached to the pivot axis 20, the latter. Bottom 41 has an opening 41b for the locking pin 32. The side walls 42 of the holding shell 43 are connected in their front part to a crossbar 43 which carries grooves 43a and 43b. Guide strips 45 adjoin the side walls 42 at the top.

An extension of the pivoting part 30 projecting upward from the transverse axis 20 carries at its upper end a transverse axis 50 to which a pawl 60 designed as a two-armed lever is articulated, which ends on its arm facing the holding shell 40 in a projection 61 forming a latching nose and has a recess 62 on the side of its second arm facing away from the ski 1.

Eine Schenkelfeder 80, welche um die Querachse 50 verläuft, beaufschlagt die Klinke 60 in Schließrichtung zur Halteschale 40.Corresponding cavities are provided in the bottom 31 of the pivoting part 30 for a spring 70 about the transverse axis 20, which loads the holding shell 40 and the pivoting part 30 in the sense of expanding apart: A Leg spring 80, which extends around the transverse axis 50, acts on the pawl 60 in the closing direction to the holding shell 40.

An elastic element 90 is inserted in the front part of the bearing block 10. It is supported on the swivel part 30. The elastic element 90 has a bore in order to be able to insert a screw unhindered when mounting the binding on the ski 1.

The ski boot 100 to be inserted into the binding (see FIG. 3) has a sole extension in its front area, which forms an insertion part into the holding shell 40 and consists of extensions 101a and a U-shaped bracket with a crossbar cast into it with its legs 102a 102b exists.

The idea on which the invention is based can best be gathered from FIGS. 4 and 5. If a piece of ice or hard snow 13 comes to lie under the bottom 31 of the angular swivel part 30, which ends in the locking pin 32 and carries the pawl 60, the pawl 60 initially only snaps into the first groove 43a, viewed in the closing direction, with its projection 61 of the web 43 a. In this position, the bottom 31 of the swivel part 30 projects slightly downward over the bottom 41 of the holding shell 40. Also, the locking pin 32 is not yet in its end position above the opening 103, which is defined by the oblique front of the ski boot 100 and the crossbar 102b. However, this hardly affects the skier, since the binding is closed and thus the ski boot 100 can be fixed in the holding shell 40 of the binding. The bottom 41 of the holding shell 40 lies on the obstacle 13 made of ice or hard snow during each sliding step until it is removed from the binding or is pushed out - generally after a few steps. Now the pawl 60 also snaps its projection 61 into the second groove 43b of the web 43, viewed in the closing direction, whereby the end position shown in FIG. 5 is reached, in which the locking pin 32 has completely penetrated into the opening 103 on the ski boot 100 and the bottom 31 of the pivoting part 30 and the bottom 41 of the holding shell 40 in the swung-down position of the ski boot 100 (sliding phase) are essentially flush with one another.

A guide plate 110 with guide grooves 111 for the ski boot 100 is provided behind and after the ski binding. The structure and function of such guide plates are known per se, so that they will not be discussed further.

The invention is not restricted to the exemplary embodiment shown and described. If necessary, as mentioned at the beginning and also claimed, a plurality of grooves can be provided which determine different latching positions. Furthermore, as was also described and claimed, a plurality of projections can also be provided which can be brought into engagement with a groove. The interaction of several projections with several grooves is also to be protected by the patent.
