Verfahren zur Demolierung von hohen mindestens zum Teil freistehenden Mauerwerken, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass auf der Spitze eines zu demolierenden Mauerwerkes (1) ein Verschiebungsmechanismus (3,4) montiert wird, der aus zwei Teilen besteht, von denen der eine Teil (3,2) zumindest ange­nähert oberhalb des anderen mit dem Mauerwerk (1) verbindbaren Teils (4,5,6) angeordnet ist, und wobei der Verschiebungs­mechanismus eine relative Bewegung zwischen den beiden Teilen und zugleich ein Halten des einen Teils durch den anderen be­wirkt, weiter dass ein vom oberen Teil (3) des Verschiebungs­mechanismus gehaltenes kabinenartiges Gebilde (12,13) seitlich an der Wand des zu demolierenden Mauerwerks (1) in einem vorbestimmten Abstand L vom oberen Rand der Wand verankert wird, ferner das vom kabinenartigen Gebilde (12,13) aus ein Stück Mauerwerk der Länge X kleiner als L vom oberen Ende der Wand nach unten demoliert wird, weiter dass der Verschiebungsmechanismus (3,4) betätigt wird, um eine Trennbewegung des unteren Teils (4) gegenüber dem oberen Teil (3) zu bewirken und damit den unteren Teil (4) auf eine noch nicht demolierte Stelle des Mauerwerks zu bringen, wo er befestigt wird, und dass die Ver­ ankerung (15) des kabinenartigen Gebildes (12,13) vom Mauer­werk losgelöst und danach der Verschiebungsmechanismus (3,4) betätigt wird, um die zwei Teile desselben in eine Nahposition zu bringen.1.
