- des moyens (25) de déplacement relatif des travures (3, 4) adaptés pour les amener bout à bout, avec leurs faces de jonction (3c, 4c) en regard,
- des moyens d'assemblage (38-44) des faces de jonction (3c, 4c) des travures (3, 4),
- des moyens de guidage et d'entraînement (9-13, 21-24) des travures (3, 4) adaptés pour engendrer un coulissement de ces dernières de façon à les positionner en porte-à-faux à l'avant de l'engin,
- et des moyens de basculement (8) des travures adaptés pour permettre la dépose de ces dernières, ledit engin étant caractérisé en ce que :
- les faces de jonction (3c, 4c) des travures (3, 4) sont inclinées de façon à définir un dièdre ouvert vers le bas lorsque lesdites travures sont positionnées bout à bout,
- les moyens de guidage et d'entraînement de travures (3, 4) comprennent des moyens de pivotement (13) adaptés pour faire pivoter lesdites travures l'une par rapport à l'autre de façon à accoler les faces de jonction (3c, 4c) inclinées et à obtenir un pont doté d'une contre-flèche,
- les moyens d'assemblage (38-44) sont adaptés pour verrouiller les faces de jonction (3c, 4c) accolées des travures (3, 4), dans la position de ces dernières formant la contre-flèche.

- The assembly means (38-44) are adapted to lock the junction faces (3c, 4c) adjoining the spans (3, 4), in the position of the latter forming the counter-jib.

- des moyens d'articulation (38-41) agencés en position supérieure des travures (3, 4) et adaptés pour articuler lesdites travures avant leur verrouillage, lorsque les faces de jonction (3c, 4c) sont amenées en regard,
- des moyens de verrouillage (38-41) agencés en position inférieure des travures (3, 4) et adaptés pour verrouiller lesdites travures après pivotement de ces dernières.

- des moyens de blocage (40, 41) de chaque mâchoire (39) dans sa position fermée.
