Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a ski brake according to the preamble of
The known ski brakes of this type had the disadvantage that the brake blades sometimes damaged the upper ski edges during the pulling-in process and got stuck on the upper ski edges when the skier fell, i.e. when the brake blades were to be released, which was particularly the case with icing.
The object of the invention is therefore to eliminate these disadvantages and to provide a ski brake which prevents damage to the upper ski edges and also prevents the two brake blades from getting caught. In addition, the already existing clamping claws which serve to fix the guide rail are also to be used for guiding the brake blades, for which they have not previously been used.
Starting from a ski brake according to the preamble of
As such, the idea of guiding the brake vanes of a ski brake during their movement from the ready position into the braking position by sliding blocks which are fastened to the top of the ski is already known, as is shown in US Pat. No. 3,715,126 (see FIGS. 7 to 9). In this embodiment, a serving as a pedal, in plan view U-shaped wire bracket, which is under the influence of a spring and the leg ends are mounted in a housing, together with this housing on a ski-fixed transverse axis can be pivoted by a certain angle. In the housing, brake blades are mounted on axes which are formed by the two legs of the bracket and which run in the longitudinal direction of the ski in the ready position of the ski brake, and can be pivoted by 90 °. The two brake vanes are - seen in the direction of their axes - angular and are in the ready position with their one end area on one of the prismatic sliding blocks, each with an inclined surface, and with their other end area on one of the support blocks assigned to them, which are also on the Ski top are attached.
If the skier falls, if so When the ski boot has left the ski binding, the bracket serving as a pedal is first pivoted up from its ready position, the individual brake blades sliding outward over the contour line of the ski on the inclined surfaces of the slide blocks assigned to them. At the same time, the two brake plates, some of which are plate-shaped, are pivoted through 90 °, so that the plate plane is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the ski.
This ski brake is not only complicated in terms of its structure, but also difficult to assemble, since a total of four blocks must be fastened separately on the top of the ski. In the construction according to the invention, on the other hand, the clamping claws which are already present and are intended for fastening the guide rail for a ski binding part, in particular for the heel holder, are designed such that they guide the brake vanes. The clamps are therefore used for two different purposes at the same time.
In the ski brake described in DE-0S 36 24 598, wedge pieces are attached to the top of the ski, the upper boundary surfaces of which serve as guide surfaces for the two cranked brake mandrels, but these guide surfaces have only the purpose, when the pedal is depressed, that the brake mandrels move in the longitudinal direction of the ski entails lifting the central sections of the brake mandrels. For the movement of the two brake blades against the vertical longitudinal median plane of the ski brake, a recess delimited by a control curve is provided in the edge of the shell-shaped pedal.
Ähnliche Ausführungen zeigen die US-PS 4 687 221 und die PCT-WO 80/01759.The ski brake according to DE-AS 26 05 506 has lateral guide surfaces for the two brake blades, but these surfaces are arranged on a holder by which the support plane for the ski shoe is raised in an undesirable manner. Similar designs are shown in US Pat. No. 4,687,221 and PCT-WO 80/01759.

In the drawing is an example Rungsform the subject of the invention reproduced. Fig. 1 shows a side view of the ski brake in the braking position and Fig. 2 shows an associated top view. FIG. 3 illustrates a side view of the ski brake which is in the ready position and FIG. 4 shows an associated top view. Fig. 5 is a section along the line V - V in Fig. 4. Finally, Fig. 6 shows a section similar to Fig. 5, but in a position in which the two brake pins with the brake blades during a swinging in or out shortly before or after the ski brake is ready.
In the drawing, 1 denotes a ski, on the top 1a of which a
Each
The
On the
Fig. 3 - 5).In the braking position of the
When getting off with
The invention is not tied to the exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing and described in the foregoing. Rather, various modifications thereof are possible without departing from the scope of the invention. For example, the two clamping claws do not have to be connected to one another by a web, but rather can also be ge can be attached to the ski separately. Furthermore, the extensions of the clamping claws can also overlap the guide rail from above.
