Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for removing the fibers from the discharge roller of the spinning unit of an open-end spinning machine, particularly with the vertical axis of the discharge roller.
- the fiber stream should be directed to the upper part of the working width and introduced through the guide into the spinning chamber.
- Significant progress has been made by using an angled separating edge and by bending the top wall of the fiber guide diagonally upwards. As a result, undesirable turbulence in the flow was reduced and the cross section of the input part of the fiber guide could be increased to a level which is adequate for the amount of air flowing and the underpressure used in the spinning chamber.
- the object of the invention is to solve these problems and to eliminate the disadvantages of the known designs and devices.
- the principle of the method according to the invention is that before the removal zone of the fibers from the serrated surface of the ejection roller, the flowing mixture of air and fibers is guided between two air streams flowing outside the working width of the serrated surface, at least that along the lower outside part of the width the serrated surface of the ejection roller, the air flow in the zone of the fiber take-off is directed obliquely upwards along the separating edge of the input part of the fiber design.
- Either an obliquely oriented guide surface or another air flow can be used for this guidance of the air flow guided along the lower outside work part. which is fed in front of the separation edge and is directed obliquely upwards along it.
- the effect of the invention can be further enhanced if the amount of air flowing in the lower part of the working width of the ejection roller is greater than the amount of air flowing in its upper part in the zone of fiber removal. The greatest effect arises when the relatively largest amount of air, based on a unit of width, passes through the lower outworking part of the transport zone. or transport zone flows and this enlarged air flow is directed obliquely upwards along the separating edge.
- the advantage of the method according to the invention is the reliability of the fiber take-off, which contributes to the stability of the spinning process and to the reduction in the number of defects in the yarn produced.
- the device is advantageous due to its simple construction and also in that the oblique current orientation is more advantageous for the fiber removal and for increasing the service life of the separating edge, which is otherwise subjected to intensive wear by the flowing fibers, so that after a certain operating time this part the spinning unit must be replaced.
- the spinning unit shown in FIG. 1 has a feed device, formed by a feed roller 1 rotating in the direction of the arrow 2, which conveys the sliver 3 against which a link 4, which can be pivoted about a pin 5, presses by the action of a spring 6.
- the feed roller 1 is associated with a dissolving or ejecting roller 7 rotating at high speed in the direction of the arrow 8.
- a tangential channel 9 for discharging impurities in the direction of arrow 10 is in flow connection with a channel 11 for the air supply in the direction of arrow 12 from the surroundings.
- a separation zone 200 of the fibers begins from the serrated surface of the opening roller 7, which ends in a separation edge 14 at the input part of the fiber version 15.
- the fibers are then directed further in the direction of arrow 16 against the sliding wall 17 of the spinning rotor 18 fastened on a shaft 19.
- the spun yarn 21 is led out of the collecting trough 20 through an opening 22 out of the rotor 18 and wound onto a spool (not shown).
- the line A - A indicates the constriction between the wall 13 and the Surface of the opening roller 7.
- the maximum working width of the opening roller 7 is determined by two edge flanges 71 and 72, which are shown in FIG. 5.
- the width H1 of the fiber band 3 is determined by the width of a cutout 99 in the free end part of the pivoting member 4 and is always smaller than the maximum working width of the opening roller 7. Through this opening 99, the fibers flow in the air flow to the effective conveying area 100 of the opening roller 7, whereby their width can increase slightly to the value H in the separation zone 200.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for removing the fibers from the discharge roller of the spinning unit of an open-end spinning machine, particularly with the vertical axis of the discharge roller.
It is very important for the spinning process that a uniform stream of loosened or separated fibers gets into the spinning chamber. For this it is necessary that the fibers conveyed into the spinning chamber by the ejection roller and the air flow are reliably detached from the serrated surface of the ejection roller and directed into the input part of the fiber guide opening into the spinning chamber. The separation of the fibers from the jagged surface of the ejection roller is significantly supported by a negative pressure in the zone of the spinning chamber and by a separation edge at the input part of the fiber version. Various forms of the input part of the fiber design are known, their design depending on the overall construction of the spinning unit, the width of the ejection roller, the diameter of the spinning rotor and the length depends on the fiber design. The wider the ejection roller or the smaller the diameter of the spinning rotor or the shorter the fiber design, the more difficult it is to find a satisfactory solution to this important section of the spinning process. If reliable removal of the fibers from the entire working width of the ejection roller cannot be achieved, the adhering fibers are carried along by the jagged surface of the ejection roller and go through the entire cycle repeatedly. The repeated passage of these non-separated fibers through the dissolving and combing zones leads to damage to the fibers and affects the homogeneity of the fiber flow, which is the cause of a reduced yarn quality and in particular of defects in the yarn.
So betragen z. Another disadvantageous consequence is the increased stress on the separating edge due to fiber abrasion and the resulting reduced service life. These negative phenomena become more serious with the increase in the speed of the spinning rotors, which then have correspondingly smaller diameters. So z. B. for speed ranges from 60,000 min⁻¹ the rotor diameter 54 mm, for 70,000 min⁻¹ 45 mm, for 100,000 min⁻¹ 34 mm etc. By reducing the rotor diameter, the space for fiber insertion into the fiber chamber is reduced, which is as tangential as possible or at least should be oriented obliquely in the direction of movement of the sliding wall of the rotor of the spinning chamber. The input part of the fiber guide should therefore be designed so that the fiber stream tapers. In the case of an opening roller with a vertical axis, the fiber stream should be directed to the upper part of the working width and introduced through the guide into the spinning chamber. The smaller the rotor diameter, the more difficult it is Fiber insertion because the increased speed also increases the amount of fiber flowing through the tapered space. Significant progress has been made by using an angled separating edge and by bending the top wall of the fiber guide diagonally upwards. As a result, undesirable turbulence in the flow was reduced and the cross section of the input part of the fiber guide could be increased to a level which is adequate for the amount of air flowing and the underpressure used in the spinning chamber. Nevertheless, certain problems had to be ascertained, among other things, a lower reliability of the fiber removal from the teeth of the opening or ejecting roller, especially in the lower sector of their working width. As a result, a certain proportion of fibers in this sector stuck and caused pimples in the yarn.
The object of the invention is to solve these problems and to eliminate the disadvantages of the known designs and devices. The principle of the method according to the invention is that before the removal zone of the fibers from the serrated surface of the ejection roller, the flowing mixture of air and fibers is guided between two air streams flowing outside the working width of the serrated surface, at least that along the lower outside part of the width the serrated surface of the ejection roller, the air flow in the zone of the fiber take-off is directed obliquely upwards along the separating edge of the input part of the fiber design.
Either an obliquely oriented guide surface or another air flow can be used for this guidance of the air flow guided along the lower outside work part. which is fed in front of the separation edge and is directed obliquely upwards along it. The effect of the invention can be further enhanced if the amount of air flowing in the lower part of the working width of the ejection roller is greater than the amount of air flowing in its upper part in the zone of fiber removal. The greatest effect arises when the relatively largest amount of air, based on a unit of width, passes through the lower outworking part of the transport zone. or transport zone flows and this enlarged air flow is directed obliquely upwards along the separating edge. The advantage of the method according to the invention is the reliability of the fiber take-off, which contributes to the stability of the spinning process and to the reduction in the number of defects in the yarn produced. The device is advantageous due to its simple construction and also in that the oblique current orientation is more advantageous for the fiber removal and for increasing the service life of the separating edge, which is otherwise subjected to intensive wear by the flowing fibers, so that after a certain operating time this part the spinning unit must be replaced.
