Definitions
- a pear-shaped or club-shaped, all-round closed air-filled rubber ball is known, the weaker elongated part of which serves as a handle to enable the ball to be flung comfortably.
- the game ball has a spherical head and a handle serving as a handle.
- a lead weight can be inserted in the apex of the spherical part to ensure a low center of gravity.
- This ball is intended for the drift ball game or party ball game and should be more suitable because it allows a comfortable touch.
- the object of the invention is to provide a device for training foot movements, in particular for techniques of judo sport, which is also suitable for children, excludes the risk of injury, and offers a certain degree of frictional resistance on a judo mat.
- the device is adapted to the anatomical shape of a foot, and the soft, elastic, rounded material means that there is no risk of injury even if practitioners fall on it. As a result of the shape claimed, the practitioners are forced to keep their feet correctly when sweeping and children are encouraged to practice the sweeping techniques.
- the device consists of a hollow object made of rubber (or plastic), which has a circular floor surface that offers a precisely calculated frictional resistance when sliding over the judo mat, e.g. about the resistance of a leg in step in a child between 5-9 years.
- the curvature of the flat part and the course of the upper part of the training device tapering upwards correspond anatomically exactly to the shape of the forefoot and instep of a child's foot of the age group mentioned.
- On the upper part there is a small heel a (Fig. 1-3), which allows easy grasping of the device from above.
- An elastic cord (Fig. 1) emerges from the opening at the top of the device, the length of which can be adapted to the needs of the practitioner.
- the device is attached either to the belt of the practitioner or to that of his exercise partner; for certain exercises, it can also be held in the left or right hand. Due to the nature of the movement, it should return to its starting position after the training movement.
- the device can also be used without a cord b for static exercises.
- the device looks disc-shaped (Fig. 2), so that regardless of its position, there is an identical practice opportunity from each side, a fact that is particularly important with input combinations of the Ashi-Waza technique.
- the diameter of the device is 175 mm
- the diameter of the top corresponding to the instep is 52 mm
- the heel a has a thickness of 10 mm.
- the curvature of the lower part of the device corresponds exactly to that of an average child's foot at the age of 5-9 years.
- the slope in the ascending part of the crest simulates the instep, the child's foot. If possible, the weight of this device should not exceed 300 g.
- the device When the practitioner sweeps, which has to be done with the slightly curved inside of the sole of the foot, the device exerts a certain frictional resistance on the judo mat, which corresponds approximately to that of an unloaded child's foot. This leads to a satisfactory simulation of a “Barai” movement.
- the sweeping can be on both sides (De-Ashi-Barai, Okuri-Ashi-Barai) or in a circular arc outside or inside to the rear (O-Soto-Barai, Ko-Soto-Barai, O-Uchi-Barai, Ko-Uchi -Barai).
- Uchi-Mata movement which of course is not strictly one of the Ashi techniques, there are various combinations of exercises.
- the device can also be dropped from the waist, whereby the practitioner can improve his reaction with the sweeping leg, since the moment in which the device can be swept on the ground just before the impact must be estimated and exploited. Since the device jumps away due to its elasticity if it is hit too late or too early during this exercise, this exercise is particularly promising for good leg reactions.
