Der Erfindung liegt die Erkenntnis und auch die Forderung der Praxis zu Grunde, daß jeweils nach Beendigung eines Nähvorganges bei Nähmaschinen, und zwar nach Vollendung des letzten Stiches, der Oberfaden möglichst unmittelbar über dem Nähgut bzw. dem Stoff abgeschnitten werden soll. Dabei ist anzustreben, daß der Schnitt so dicht über dem Stoff bzw. Nähgut erfolgen soll, daß das noch verbleibende Fadenende im oder auf dem Stoff nicht mehr unangenehm auffällt. Sodann erübrigt sich ein gesonderter Arbeitsgang zum Versäubern dieser Fadenenden. Die weitere Forderung der Praxis geht dahin, daß nach dem Schnitt der Teil des Fadens, der zur Nadel führt, so festgeklemmt wird, daß er bei erneutem Nähbeginn nicht aus dem Nadelöhr heraustritt. Die Wirkungsweise der oben erläuterten erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung ist im wesentlichen folgende. In der rechten Endstellung der Messerplatte 8, in die sie nach Figur 2 in Richtung des Pfeiles 32 geschoben worden ist, kann der normale Nähvorgang durchgeführt werden, wobei der Oberfaden 30 durch das Nadelöhr 29 der Nadel 5 hindurchgeht. Wenn nun der Nähvorgang an dem Nähgut 33 (Figur 3) beendet ist, wird das Betätigungselement, zum Beispiel der Bowdenzug 25 betätigt, so daß die Messerplatte 8 in Richtung des Pfeiles 34 in die linke Endstellung verschoben wird. Dabei werden die Schneidkanten 14 und 16 wirksam, die den Oberfaden abschneiden und gleichzeitig wird das Ende des Oberfadens zwischen der Klemmfeder und dem Messersteg 18 eingeklemmt. In dieser Stellung der Messerplatte kann dann der normale Nähvorgang gemäß Figur 4 wieder aufgenommen werden, wobei das Ende 35 des Oberfadens aus der Klemmstellung herausgezogen wird. Wenn nun der Nähvorgang wieder unterbrochen werden soll, wird die Messerplatte in Richtung des Pfeiles 32 gemäß Fig. 5 in die rechte Endstellung verschoben, so daß dann die Schneidkanten 15 und 17 wirksam werden und den Oberfaden abschneiden und wie in Figur 5 dargestellt der Oberfaden wieder eingeklemmt ist.The operation of the device according to the invention explained above is essentially as follows. Claims (9)

  1. Sewing machine with a thread-cutting device for the upper thread and with a movable cutter (8) with two cutting points (14, 15) and a clamping device (9) for the upper thread (30) guided through the needle eye (29) of the needle (5), characterised in that the cutter (8) is constructed as a cutter plate, which is guided to move between two end positions and which comprises two needle holes (11, 12), between which a cutter bar (18) is formed.
  2. Sewing machine according to Claim 1, characterised in that the clamping device comprises a clamping spring (9), which rests on the cutter bar (18) and which is provided with a needle hole (10).
  3. Sewing machine according to one of the preceding Claims, characterised in that the cutter (8) is guided to slide on a stationary cutting plate (7), which comprises an opening (31), whereof the edges adjacent the cutter are provided with cutting edges (16, 17), which cooperate with two cutting edges (14, 15) of the cutter bar (18).
  4. Sewing machine according to Claim 3, characterised in that the cutting plate (7) is attached in a recess (38) in the lower part of the sewing foot (19) and comprises lateral guide walls (39, 40) for the cutter plate (8).
  5. Sewing machine according to Claim 3 or 4, characterised in that on the under side the cutting plate (7) comprises a cavity (41), in which a guide plate (6) is attached, which is provided with a needle hole (13).
  6. Sewing machine according to one of the preceding Claims, characterised in that the two needle holes (11, 12) of the cutter plate (8) align alternately with the needle holes (10, 13) of the clamping spring (9) and of the guide plate (6).
  7. Sewing machine according to one of claims 2 to 6, characterised in that the clamping spring (9) is attached in the sewing foot (1) by screws (36, 37).
  8. Sewing machine according to one of the preceding Claims, characterised in that the cutter plate (8) is provided with a bore (19), in which a spring side (21) of a spring (20) engages and that this spring side (21) is connected to an actuating member (24, 25), such as a Bowden cable.
  9. Sewing machine according to one of the preceding Claims, characterised in that two clamping points for the upper thread (30, 35) are formed between the cutter bar (18) and the clamping spring (9), corresponding to the two end positions of the cutter plate (8).
