Abstract

The sealing stopper has a lid (1) which is set onto a sealing part (2) with a conical sealing surface (8), leaving an annular space (15). At the bottom side of the lid rim (11) is a protrusion with a hemispheric recess, into which an end segment (4) of a chain (3) is set. In this manner, the latter is directly and tightly fastened to the sealing body and has no protruding parts on its upper side which could interfere with use of the stopper in the drain valve of a bathtub.

Im Stand der Technik ist durch die US-A 2 460 768 ein Verschluss-Stöpsel dieser Art bekannt geworden, bei dem ein Glied der Kette in eine mittige Vertiefung in der Oberseite des Verschlusskörpers eingesetzt und mit einer eingegossenen Metallscheibe festgelegt ist. Die auf der Oberseite des Verschlusskörpers vorstehende Kette wird beispielsweise in einer Badewanne als störend empfunden. Claims (6)

1. Closure plug, of an outlet valve, with a closure body displaying an annular sealing surface (8) and with a chain (3) for fastening the closure body, for example at a bath tub, wherein a member (4) of the chain (3) is shape-lockingly fixed at the closure body, characterised thereby, that a cover (1) is fastened at an annular sealing part (2) and the member (4) of the chain (3) is fixed at the rim of the cover (1) between this and the sealing part (2).
2. Closure plug according to claim 1, characterised thereby, that the chain (3) is inserted into a slot (10) in a rim (11) of the cover (1).
3. Closure plug according to claim 1 or 2, characterised thereby, that the named member (4) of the claim (3) is arranged in a space (15) enclosed by the cover (1) and the sealing part (2).
4. Closure plug according to claim 3, characterised thereby, that a downwardly projecting step (7) with a hemispherical recess (14), into which the named member (4) of the chain (3) is inserted, is moulded on at the underside of the rim (11).
5. Closure plug according to one of the claims 1 to 4, characterised thereby, that the cover (1) is made of comparatively hard material, for example POM polyoxymethylene) and the sealing part (2) is made of comparatively soft synthetic material, for example soft PVC.
6. Closure plug according to one of the claims 1 to 5, characterised thereby, that the cover (1) is detachably fastened at the sealing part (2) by means of a lug (5) engaging thereunder.
