Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for squeezing and metered dispensing of flowable multicomponent masses under the action of a blowing agent on flexible bags for the individual components of the mass.
- Multi-component compositions are increasingly being used for many industrial and commercial applications for gluing, filling, sealing and the like. To prevent the components from reacting prematurely, the individual components must be stored in separate chambers.
- each component is arranged in a separate, cylindrical cartridge with an ejection piston which can be displaced therein, which is very complex and leads to high production costs.
- sealing problems can occur on the squeezing piston at the sometimes very high squeezing pressures. If the ejection piston is not absolutely leak-proof, the ejection device required for processing the cartridges is contaminated.
- the components are in flexible bags. These bags are mechanically squeezed, for example by means of rollers or by means of a blowing agent acting on the wall of the bags.
- the bags are arranged in a common container and are thus acted upon by the same pressure of the propellant.
- the components can thus only be dispensed when the components have approximately the same viscosity in a certain, constant mixing ratio.
- the viscosity of the individual components is very different and, moreover, varies depending on the ambient temperature. The Compliance with a certain mixing ratio is therefore not guaranteed with these masses with the device mentioned.
- the invention has for its object to provide a simple device for pressing components of a multi-component mass arranged in flexible bags in a certain mixing ratio.
- each bag is arranged in a separate container, to which the propellant is fed via a metering device.
- the arrangement of the bags in separate containers prevents mutual interference, so that the required squeezing pressures can be set independently of one another in accordance with the toughness of the components.
- the metering of the masses to be dispensed via the amount of the preferably liquid propellant results in a relatively simple construction of the device.
- the metering device for the propellant does not require cleaning, even in the event of a long shutdown, since the same propellant is always conveyed back and forth.
- the respective metering devices are expediently designed as volumetric pumps.
- Such pumps are, for example, piston pumps or eccentric pumps.
- the pumps can be driven by hand or by a motor.
- a particularly advantageous embodiment is to design the pumps as gear pumps.
- Gear pumps do not require valves and can be operated equally well in both delivery directions.
- Gear pumps also enable a compact design.
- the pumps for the individual components are expediently coupled to one another.
- This coupling of the pumps can be done by directly connecting the pumps via a common drive shaft.
- the mixing ratio can also be changed by an intermediate manual or change gearbox.
- Another option is to electronically control the drive motors for the individual pumps.
- vent valves are operated at the beginning of the squeezing process until the propellant emerges from the vent valves.
- automatic valves can also be used, which block automatically as soon as liquid enters the valve.
- the device according to the invention shown in FIG. 1 essentially consists of a housing, generally designated 1, and a cover part connected thereto, generally designated 2.
- the housing 1 has a side projecting handle 1a on.
- a seal 3 is arranged between the housing 1 and the cover part 2.
- the cover part 2 is provided with a threaded attachment 2a for a press-out connector designated overall by 4.
- Mixing elements 4a are arranged in the squeeze nozzle 4.
- the cover part 2 has channels 2b, 2c opening into the threaded attachment 2a. Connection nipples 5 are inserted into one end of the channels 2b, 2c.
- the housing 1 has two containers 1b, 1c for bags 6, 7 arranged parallel to one another, which contain the components 8, 9 of a multi-component mass.
- the bags 6, 7 are connected to the cover part 2 via the connection nipple 5.
- the housing 1 and the cover part 2 each have a vent hole 1d, 2d.
- the vent holes 1d, 2d are connected to a manually operable vent valve, generally designated 10.
- the vent valve 10 consists of a valve body 10a, a tappet 10b and a compression spring 10c driving the tappet 10b against the valve body 10a.
- a tank 11 is arranged in the handle 1a and contains a liquid propellant 12, for example a hydraulic oil.
- the propellant 12 passes through an intake port 13 and an intake line 1e in the housing 1 to two gear pumps 14, 15 arranged next to one another.
- the gear pumps 14, 15 are driven by a common drive shaft 16 and are thus coupled to one another.
- the drive shaft 16 is connected to a ring gear 17.
- the ring gear 17 is in engagement with a bevel pinion 18 which is connected to the shaft of a motor 19.
- the motor 19 is driven by a battery 20 arranged in a receiving opening 1h of the housing 1.
- the battery 20 is secured in the axial direction by a plug 21 and a contact spring 22.
- the electrical connection of the motor 19 to the battery 20 takes place via a switch 23 arranged on the handle 1a.
- the motor 19 and thus the gear pumps 14 and 15 can be switched on and off and thus propellant 12 from the tank 11 via pressure lines 1f, 1g into the containers 1b, 1c.
- the components 8, 9 contained in the bags 6, 7 are pressed out of these and passed through the channels 2b, 2c into the squeeze nozzle 4.
- the vent valves 10 air present in the containers 1b, 1c can be removed from the containers at the beginning of the squeezing process. Such air cushions could otherwise hinder the continuous delivery of components 8, 9.
- the direction of rotation of the motor 19 can be reversed by means of the switch 23 and the propellant 12 can be conveyed back into the tank 11.
- the lid part 2 is removed and the empty bags 6, 7 are exchanged for new, filled bags 6, 7.
- FIG. 2 shows the gear pump 14 with the drive shaft 16 and the suction line 1e and pressure line 1f arranged in the housing 1.

Abstract
