Claims (7)

  1. Element for actuating an electrical switch, in the shape of a pivoting lever mounted inside a casing (B) so that at least one end pivots between a position retracted inside the casing and a position where it emerges at least partly from the casing so as to be visible, this lever comprising an upper actuating wall and side walls extending substantially perpendicularly with respect to the said wall towards the inside of the casing, at least at the said end, at least one zone of the outer surface of the said side walls being coloured in order to indicate the operating state of the device, and this coloured surface being the outer surface of a piece (6) manufactured separately and mounted on the said end of the lever, presenting in these side walls appropriate recesses for receiving the said piece, characterized in that the separate piece presents a generally U-shaped cross-section in a plane substantially parallel to the lever-actuating surface (2), and is mounted in a removable manner on a structure for supporting and assembling the said U-shaped piece (6), provided at the end of the lever.
  2. Actuating element according to claim 1, of which the ends of the walls (7) of piece (6), which form the legs of the U, have projections (8) for the fastening through latching of the separate piece to the actuating element, which extend towards the inside of the U, perpendicularly with respect to the walls (7), and the structure (10) for supporting the lever comprises members (11) behind which the projections (8) are likely to engage.
  3. Actuating element according to claim 1 or 2, of which the aforesaid structure (10) for supporting piece (6) presents means for immobilizing the piece (6) on the lever, in the direction of the displacement of the lever.
  4. Actuating element according to claim 3, of which the walls (12, 13) of the structure (10) for supporting the piece (5) extend from the upper actuating surface in a divergent manner, in order to ensure a removable locking of the piece (6) on the lever.
  5. Actuating element according to one of the preceding claims, of which the separate piece (6) is made of a material, the colour of which differs from that of lever (A), in particular through moulding.
  6. Actuating element according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the pivoting lever presents two arms and the longitudinal side walls of the lever carry cylindrical tips forming pivots which are likely to engage into openings forming bearings for the casing, of which at least one of the arms is shaped so as to receive the separate piece.
  7. Actuating element according to one of the preceding claims, the separate piece (6) of which is made of a translucent material and that a lamp is provided inside casing (B), whose light is visible from three sides through the said piece (6).
