The present invention provides the following essential advantages:
  • a) the turning radius R of the teeth of the bucket, with respect to the pivot axis 6, is reduced relative to the quick couplings of known type;
  • b) the yoke 8 constitutes not only a quick attachment part but also an adaptation part making it possible to fix any tool at the end of the arm of the machine, even if this tool was not designed for this craft originally. The yoke thus achieves a universal adaptation piece and it is possible to provide a wide variety of yokes, each of them being intended to receive a range of products according to the particular characteristics of each manufacturer;
  • c) the frustoconical shape of each lower lock generates a force F on the upper part of the fastener which always breaks down into a force of jamming of the opposite hook and this arrangement avoids all the games which usually worsen during operation;
  • d) the control device connected directly to the bucket control cylinder avoids the use of a complex, expensive and fragile control distributor and gives the locking a locking force proportional to the force in the cylinder, therefore to the teeth of the 'tool.

Claims (5)

1. Rapid attaching device for hydraulic machine equipment articulated at the end of an arm of the said machine in which the front end of the arm comprises a rotational shaft defining the centre of gyration of the equipment and an hydraulic jack which controls the rotation of the equipment of the type comprising a frame formed from two parallel flanges rendered integral with each other by means of struts mounted so as to pivot on the front end shaft of the arm, between the arm and the equipment. the frame being supported by the pivot shaft of the equipment and comprising an hydraulic bolt for maintaining the connection between the tool and the arm, characterized in that;
- the frame comprises a hook (5a) engaging on a boss supported by the tool, the said hook being disposed substantially on the opposite side to the bolt;
- the equipment comprises integrally at least one fastening (16) for receiving the bolt (13) in such a way that the equipment is mounted on the frame and is maintained as a result, on the one hand of the hook cooperating with the boss and on the other hand by the bolt acting against the fastening which on the one hand immobilizes the fastening in position and on the other hand firmly maintains the boss (5) in the hook (5a);
- and in that the pivot shaft (6) of the equipment is separated from the equipment itself.
2. Device according to claim 1 in which the bolting means are composed of a bolt (13) truncated in shape engaging in an opening (16a) of a corresponding shape, the said bolt (13) forming the piston of a double action hydraulic jack (11).
3. Device according to claim 2 in which the hydraulic jack (11) is connected for the bolting step to the chamber (3a) of the jack (3) in which the high operating pressure prevails and for the unbolting step to a different hydraulic pressure.
4. Device according to claim 3 in which the unbolting pressure is provided by a manual piston pump (14) which is situated in the machine control cabin.
5. Device according to any one of the preceding claims in which the equipment is an excavator bucket (1) with an hydraulic scoop the boss on which the hooks (5a, of the frame (8) engage being a transverse cylindrical beam (5) and the fastening (16) being attached to the back of the said bucket.
