Description

The invention relates to a safety ski binding with a heel shoe which can be triggered when a certain force acting on the binding is exceeded, which has an essentially ski-fixed part and a sole hold-down device pivotally connected to the latter, the sole hold-down device in its position holding the shoe with the ski-fixed part can be locked by means of a detent-latching track arrangement which is loaded by a spring which acts essentially in the longitudinal direction of the ski, part of the latching-latching track arrangement being arranged on the sole retainer and the other part of which is arranged on the ski-fixed part, and the latching track obliquely in the locked position of the sole retainer the ski surface runs at an incline and the two parts of the detent-locking track arrangement overlap one another, and the pivotable connection of the sole hold-down device to the ski-fixed part takes place via a strap which is parallel to the top of the ski and perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the ski arranged axes is penetrated, of which one axis is held in the ski-fixed part and the other axis in the sole hold-down.

Such a heel shoe has been proposed by DE-A-17 03 638. In this case, the tabs run essentially parallel to the ski surface and, in addition to the connection of the sole hold-down device to the essentially ski-fixed part of the jaw via the tabs, there is also another form-fitting connection between these parts via an axis guided in a slot in the ski-fixed part, which with the sole hold-down is firmly connected.

In this known solution, it is therefore impossible to move the sole retainer in the longitudinal direction of the ski. As a result, however, the release values of the binding also change with each snow covering on the sole of the ski boot held by the latter, or in the event of a change in the length of the sole thereof, thereby there is a corresponding security problem.

Furthermore, a heel shoe was known from EP-A1-0072 904, in which a sole hold-down abuts the release lever, the two abutting surfaces of these parts having concave or convex shapes which correspond to one another. The release lever can be pivoted about a ski-fixed axis held in the jaw housing and can be locked in its downward position by means of a detent-locking track arrangement. The sole hold-down device is connected to the release lever by means of a tab arrangement which is penetrated by two axes which are arranged in one of these parts and run parallel to one another. The axis that also serves as a pivot axis for the release lever penetrates an elongated hole in the tab arrangement which, in the downward position of the jaw, is loaded on the end face by a spring held in a bore in the release lever, which in the longitudinal direction of the elongated hole in the tab arrangement in the sense of separating the sole hold-down device from the Contact surface on the release lever loaded.

The disadvantage of this solution lies in the complicated shape of the contact surfaces of the release lever and the sole hold-down. In addition, with this solution, there is considerable tension even on the snow shoe to be held or parts of the cheek, which can also lead to changes in the release values of the cheek, since the longitudinal forces are exerted by the release lever or by the part attached to the ski of the jaw connecting axis are introduced into this and therefore there is no length compensation.

These disadvantages also occur with the jaws known from DE-A-24 32 646, in which the sole hold-down device is connected via an axis to a part of the jaw which is fixed to the ski and via a plate with a pushing element which in turn is connected to the fixed part via two plates Part of the jaw is connected and loaded by a spring. With this solution, there is little displacement of the sole hold-down in the longitudinal direction of the ski given that the sole hold-down has an elongated hole which is penetrated by the axis connecting it to the ski-fixed part of the jaw, but this is only possible against the force of the release spring, but this has a correspondingly direct influence on the release values of the jaw.

Furthermore, from DE-A-31 07 230 a safety ski binding with a sole hold-down device was known, which is connected on the one hand directly to a ski-fixed part via a pivot axis and also via a toggle lever system. The connecting axis of the two levers forming the toggle lever system can be held in a position corresponding to the locked position of the sole hold-down device by means of a locking lever pivotally held on the ski-fixed part.

This solution also has the disadvantage that a change in the length of the sole of the ski boot to be held has a considerable influence on the triggering force and therefore the safety-related problems already mentioned arise.

From WO 88/01191 publication date: February 25, 2008, a safety ski binding with a heel shoe was known, in which the sole hold-down device is connected to one another with a ski-fixed part via a pivot axis. The sole hold-down device has a latching path which can be overlapped by a detent pivotally held on the ski-fixed part, which is biased by means of a spring supported on a releasable abutment against the position overlapping the sole hold-down device.

In this known solution, too, a change in the length of the sole of the ski boot to be held is associated with a considerable change in the release values of the binding.

Furthermore, a safety ski binding with a heel shoe was known from WO 84/03050, in which a sole hold-down device is connected to a ski-fixed part via a toggle lever. There is a further connection of these parts via one on the ski-fixed part pivotally mounted lever is provided, which is articulated on the sole hold-down and is supported with its second lever arm on the ski-fixed part. The sole hold-down device is locked in its working position by means of a spring-loaded locking lever, which prevents the movement of the connecting axis of the two parts of the toggle lever under forces acting on the binding, as long as these are only of a safe size.

However, this binding also has the disadvantage that a change in the length of the sole of the ski boot to be held exerts a very considerable influence on the release force of the binding.

The aim of the invention is to avoid these disadvantages and to propose a heel shoe of the type mentioned at the outset, which is distinguished by a simple structure and in which length compensation and compensation for a snow covering on the sole is possible without a significant change in the trigger values.

According to the invention this is achieved in that the tab extends substantially perpendicular to the top of the ski in the locked position of the sole hold-down device, and the sole hold-down device can be displaced in the longitudinal direction of the ski in the longitudinal direction of the ski against the force of the spring loading the latching latching track arrangement by pivoting the tab part of the jaw fixed to the ski.

These measures ensure that the sole hold-down device can be displaced in the longitudinal direction of the ski against the force of the spring, so that a corresponding compensation for changes in the length of the ski shoe sole is possible and therefore, if at all, there are only slight changes in the release values of the binding. This way is taken up by the tab arrangement. Since there is only an articulated connection of the sole hold-down device to the ski-fixed part, specifically that via one axis of the strap arrangement, this results with a shift of the sole hold-down device in the longitudinal direction with respect to the ski-fixed part there is practically no change in the contact pressure of the boot on the ski. The set trigger values therefore remain largely constant despite the compression of the tension spring.

For reasons of a particularly simple construction, it is advantageous if the tab arrangement is arranged on the end of the sole holding-down device facing away from the second jaw. The position of the straps, which is essentially perpendicular to the ski in the operating position of the jaw, results in a sufficiently large path for a length compensation of the sole, even if the length of the straps is kept small. This length compensation is particularly important for soles made from a hygroscopic material.

In a heel shoe according to the invention, in which the latching path is arranged on an arm pivotably held on the substantially ski-fixed part and the latch is formed by an attachment held on the sole holding-down device, the arm being supported by the spring, which in turn is supported on one Abutment is supported, can be provided according to a further feature of the invention that the approach rotatably holds a roller with a circular cross-section and a force transducer is provided between the substantially ski-fixed part of the jaw and the ski, which has an electronic evaluation circuit with a control device for the abutment is connected.

This results in a very simple construction, in which there are also very short connecting lines from the force transducer to the evaluation circuit, these being very easy to protect against damage. Furthermore, it is also achieved that, even when the sole hold-down is pivoted up after a release, the opening of the jaw resulting therefrom is largely covered by the arm having the latching track, so that in the event of a fall hardly any snow can penetrate into the interior of the jaw, thereby causing malfunctions largely avoided in the function of baking.

Furthermore, it can be provided that between the lever carrying the latching path and a support arm which is pivotally held on the essentially ski-fixed part of the jaw, a spring-guiding coupling rod formed from two telescopically telescoping parts is provided, which with its two free ends is articulated with these arms is connected, wherein the support arm is part of the spring-supporting abutment and is supported in the operational state of the baking by a, the second part of the abutment forming, operated by the control device and pivotally held by this locking arm, the axis of the coupling rod between the axes of rotation of these two arms, but runs just next to the axis of rotation of the support arm and the two arms enclose an angle in the ready-to-use state of the jaw, the apex of which is turned towards the arm carrying the latching path.

These measures have the advantage that the locking lever can be deflected from its position supporting the support arm with relatively small forces, whereby this and thus the tension spring loses its support and thus the locking of the sole hold-down with the essentially ski-fixed Part is solved. The support of the tension spring by means of the coupling rod is also essential, whereby a bending stress on the spring, which leads to an uneven loading of the spring and thus to its premature fatigue, is reliably avoided.

The heel jaw according to the invention is fundamentally suitable both for an application in connection with a releasable front jaw, as well as in connection with a non-releasable front jaw, as is often used for touring bindings. For reasons of high release security, however, when using a heel shoe according to the invention in connection with a non-releasable front shoe, it is expedient to use the former in conjunction with a binding plate.

According to the invention, it can further be provided that the part of the cheek held ski-tight in the operational state of the heel cheek is a sole plate, or is arranged on such a plate, which is arranged around a pin arranged in the region of the penetration point of the tibia with the ski top, as well as around one in the front Area of the sole plate arranged, rotatable transversely to the longitudinal axis of the ski and essentially parallel to the ski surface, and arranged via a pin spaced apart from the vertical pin and engaging in a ski-like abutment, preferably via the force transducer with the sole plate or with the ski-fixed part of the cheek is connected, is held secured against rotation.

This embodiment is particularly suitable for heel cheeks with an electronically controlled release member, since it allows the forces acting on the binding to be detected in very small ways, the small, due to the elasticity of the individual components, but also their attachment to the ski given the displaceability The plate opposite the ski is sufficient to be able to record the acting forces.

In this context, it can further be provided that the force transducer is arranged in a tightly closed housing, in which an electronic evaluation circuit, processed the output signals of the force transducer, together with an actuator of the control device that controls the latching arm, are included, as a result of which the very short conduction paths Transmission of the output signals of the transducer and a protected arrangement of the very sensitive electronic components result.

The binding shown in FIG. 1 is designed as a plate binding arranged on the upper side 10a of a ski 10, the binding plate 1 being rotatable about a spherical pin 40 which is on the ski 10 in the region of the point of intersection of the axis of the skier's tibia the ski plane is fastened and enables the binding plate 1 to rotate in the plane of the ski 10. In the front area of the binding plate 1, this has an axis 41, which passes through a slot 42 of a ski-mounted holder 45 which runs in the longitudinal direction of the ski and which protrudes into a recess 1 'formed on the underside of the binding plate 1 with great play on all sides, as a result of which limited Rotation of the binding plate 1 about the pin 40 and pivoting the same about the axis 41 is possible.

Furthermore, in the front area of the binding plate 1, a rigid, non-releasable toe jaw 43 is held in the longitudinal direction of the binding plate so that it can be adjusted and locked.

The releasable heel shoe 5 arranged in the rear region of the binding plate is connected to the binding plate 1, the sole hold-down device 17 of which can be swiveled up about the axis 9. Furthermore, the binding plate 1 is firmly connected in its rear area to a switching module 44 which is supported in a ski-mounted abutment 2 via force transducers 4 and a measuring element 3 which has a spherical head-shaped end.

As a result, the binding plate 1 is essentially in its position fixed, but a movement of the binding plate 1 in the extent of the measuring paths of the force transducers 4 is possible, which, due to the fixed pivot points of the binding plate 1 around the pin 40 and the axis 41, enables the detection of the moments ± Mz and ± My acting on the binding plate 1 .

In the heel shoe 5, a conventional opening spring 23 is provided for the sole hold-down device 17, which is supported on the binding plate 1 and the sole hold-down device 17 and prestresses it in the direction of its swiveled-up end position shown in FIG. 5.

The substantially hood-shaped sole hold-down device 17 has a nose 17a projecting against its interior, on which a locking roller 16 is rotatably held, which in the locked position of the binding is overlapped by an arm 18 having a locking path 31. This arm 18 is pivotally held on an axis of rotation 28, which in turn is fixed to the part of the heel 5 fixed to the binding plate. On the arm 18 is a telescopically collapsible coupling rod 20 is articulated, which connects the arm 18 with a further, about a rotationally rigidly connected to the binding plate 1 axis of rotation 29 support lever 21, the coupling rod 20 in hinged to these two parts supports 46 of a tension spring 19 is held with a larger game and displaceable in its longitudinal direction.

The tension spring 19, which urges the two parts apart, acts between the parts connected to one another via the coupling rod 20. Thus, the arm 18 is pressed against the locking roller 16 with the support lever 21 supported, whereby the sole hold-down device 17 is prevented from swinging up. The arm 18 with the latching track 31 and the latching roller 16 mounted on the nose 17a of the sole holding-down device 17 form components of a latching latching track arrangement 16, 17a; 18, 31.

In the heel shoe 5, a hand release head 15 is pivotally mounted about an axis 30, this head 15 by means of a spring 30 'is biased against its inactive position. When the trigger head 15 is pressed, it pivots clockwise or counter to the force of the spring 30 'and presses on a trigger pin 14 which is held in a passage of the housing 6 of the switching component 44, which encloses a trigger mechanism, and against it by means of a non-visible spring , inactive position shown in the figures is biased. This trigger pin 14 is sealed, for example, by means of an O-ring against the housing 6, but it is also possible to seal the trigger pin by means of a membrane which is stretched over the free end of the trigger pin, or is designed as part of the housing and on which the trigger head 15 can be brought to the plant.

The measuring element 3 is supported in the ski-fixed abutment 2 via its ball-shaped head. This measuring element 3 has force transducers 4, which detect the moments ± My and ± Mz occurring on the binding plate 1 about their axes of rotation and convert them into electrical signals. These force transducers 4, which e.g. can be designed as piezoelectric transducers or as strain gauges, are connected to the housing 6 of the switching component 44, in which a battery, an evaluation circuit and an electromechanical trigger element, e.g. an electromagnet, and parts of a mechanical locking system of the binding are housed. Regarding the trigger element, it should be noted that this can also be caused by other components, e.g. a piezoelectric transducer can be formed. The switching module 44 itself is not the subject of this invention and can e.g. according to the application 87905444.3 - PCT / EP 8700443 (republished as WO 88/01191).

The trigger mechanism in the switching module 44 is connected in a rotationally fixed manner via a shaft 7 which is tightly passed through its housing 6 to an outer latch arm 22 which is equipped with a roller 22a for reasons of low friction. This outer latching arm 22 supports the outer support lever 21, which can be pivoted about an axis of rotation 29 rigidly connected to the binding plate 1, in the operational state of the binding, which acts as a Abutment for one end of the tension spring 19 is used, which, as already explained, presses the arm 18 carrying the latching track 31 against the latching roller 16 of the sole retainer 17 of the heel shoe 5.

As can be seen from FIGS. 2a to c, the outer support lever 21 is supported on the outer locking arm 22 in such a way that the outer support lever 21 encloses a slightly larger angle with the outer locking arm 22 in order to apply a torque to the outer locking arm 22 exercise that biases this against its unlocked position. This torque is intercepted by the release mechanism, which is thereby biased against its unlocked position. The moment acting on the locking arm 22 supports a possible triggering, so that such an impact is hardly noticeably hampered even by ice build-up and a triggering is possible with low forces applied by the triggering mechanism.

When the sole hold-down device 17 is pivoted up after an arbitrary or involuntary triggering, an attachment 27 of the same comes to rest on an extension 27 'of the latching arm 22 and rotates it back into its working position. This turning back of the outer latch arm 22 also causes the trigger mechanism to be reset via the shaft 7.

This turning back requires little force, since the tension spring 19 only acts on the parts connected by means of the coupling rod 20, namely on the arm 18, and the support lever 21 and forms a self-contained system with them. When the sole hold-down device 17 is subsequently pressed down, its locking roller 16 presses over the arm 18 having the locking track 31, the tension spring 19 being compressed. The sole hold-down device 17 is locked again.

As can be seen from FIGS. 2 to 5, the articulation of the sole hold-down device 17 takes place on the binding plate 1, which is held essentially in the form of a ski, via a bracket arrangement formed, for example, by a pair of straps 11, which is attached to two in the working position of the heel jaw 5 transverse to the ski 10 and axes running parallel to its surface 10a, etc. the already mentioned axis 9, on which the hood-shaped sole hold-down device 17 is articulated, and the axis 12, which is held in the binding plate 1 or a rib projecting from it, are mounted. Thus, the sole hold-down device 17 is connected to the essentially ski-fixed binding plate 1 only via the tabs 11, the latching of the sole hold-down device 17 to the ski-fixed binding plate 1 via the arm 18 carrying the latching track 31, which is pivotably held on the binding plate 1, and the on the sole retainer 17 rotatably held locking roller 16 which is overlapped in the working position of the sole retainer 17 by the locking track 31.

As can be seen from FIG. 2 a, in which the relationships are shown as they result from an optimal setting of the binding, the tension spring 19 presses the arm 18 in the direction of an only indicated shoe 50, the arm 18 being on the axis 28 connected to the binding plate 1 or its rib is articulated and presses against the locking roller 16, which also results in a force component acting in the longitudinal direction of the ski. This force component causes the sole hold-down device 17 to be advanced in the direction of the shoe 50, which, due to the articulation of the sole hold-down device 17 on the lower axis 9, leads to an inclined position thereof relative to a vertical position of the tabs 11.

If there is now a slight deviation from the ideal setting of the heel cheek 5, which cannot be avoided, for example in the case of shoe soles made of a somewhat hygroscopic material or due to a snow covering, this deviation can be absorbed by the latter through the articulation of the sole hold-down device 17 via the tabs 11 be, as can be seen from Fig.2b. This results in a vertical or a slightly backward inclined position of the tab 11. The tension spring 19 is compressed somewhat more by this, but this also changes the point of application of the tension spring 19 on the arm 18, since it is more vertical and therefore the point of application of the tension spring 19 moves downward, but its support point stays the same. With appropriate dimensioning of the arm 18, the support lever 21 and the outer locking arm 22 and their articulation points, it is possible to obtain a release characteristic largely unaffected by such changes in length.

The same applies in relation to a snow covering below the sole of the shoe, as shown in FIG. 2c. This results in a compression of the tension spring 19 due to the elevated position of the heel region of the sole of the shoe 50, and - due to the inclination of the latching track 31 - a change in the lever ratios, the lever arm of the arm 18 supported on the latching roller 16 being shortened. The torques causing tripping are thus kept within narrow and completely uncritical, predeterminable limits even at different heights of the sole hold-down device 17. Appropriate dimensioning can therefore ensure that the triggering conditions are not changed or are changed only insignificantly.

The latch arm 22 has already left its position supporting the support lever 21 and has reached its release position. This is due to the unlocking of the shaft 7 carrying the locking arm 22 in the interior of the switching module 44 and by the moment to be exerted by the support lever 21 on the locking arm 22 in the direction of its release position. As a result, the tension spring 19 has also lost its abutment formed by the support lever 21 and the locking arm 22, as a result of which the tension spring 19 with the arm 18 and the support lever 22 only forms a closed system which no longer exerts any forces on the outside. As a result, even with small forces exerted by the shoe 50 on the sole hold-down device 17, the sole hold-down device 17 can be displaced to the rear, as can be seen from FIGS. 4a and 4b, with the tabs 11 being deflected. Furthermore, the sole hold-down device 17 can also be pivoted upwards without any appreciable expenditure of force, the latter still using the opening spring 23 is supported.

Letzteres erfolgt mit Hilfe des an dem Sohlenniederhalter 17 angeordneten Ansatzes 27, der an dem Fortsatz 27' des Rastarmes 22 zur Anlage kommt und diesen mitnimmt.5 shows the heel jaw according to the invention with the sole hold-down device 17 pivoted up after a release, wherein, as already mentioned, the latching arm 22 and thus the release mechanism in the switching module 44 have been reset by pivoting the sole hold-down device 17 up. The latter takes place with the aid of the attachment 27 arranged on the sole hold-down device 17, which comes to rest on the extension 27 'of the latching arm 22 and takes it along.
