Description

The invention relates to a slatted frame for use as a base for mattresses, in particular foam mattresses, according to the preamble of claim 1.

Slatted frames made of wood and / or metal as a mattress underlay are known both in one-piece, non-adjustable embodiment and with a movable head and foot section, the head section and possibly also the foot section being infinitely or gradually adjustable or raised and lowered again.

It is also known to provide an adjustment option in addition to the inclination of the head or leg part of the user in the shoulder area such that the pressure on the shoulder or an excessive hardness of the mattress is no longer felt as strongly in this area by the user.

For this purpose, it is known (siche GB-A-2008939) to support the head part in the manner of a two-armed lever, as a result of which the slats assigned to the lever arm on the foot part side are lowered with respect to the foot part plane when the head part is raised. However, this solution leaves much to be desired in terms of the comfort that can be achieved, since any slat lowering in the shoulder area is directly connected to a head part elevation, and therefore an individual adaptation to the respective needs of the user cannot be achieved. In addition, this known solution cannot be implemented with slatted frames without an adjustable head part.

There is also known a slatted frame in which at least two slats are attached to a two-armed, pivotally mounted lever on the frame for the purpose of a certain shoulder lowering in the transition region between the head part and foot part of the slatted frame. In this construction too, the combination with an adjustable head part is indispensable in practice, since otherwise a step which would have a very negative effect on the user's feeling of comfort would arise. Furthermore, it is disadvantageous in this arrangement that the lever acting as a rocker, to which the crossbars are attached, inevitably raises the other lever end and thus the associated crossbar when lowering one lever end, which in turn must have an unfavorable effect on the feeling of comfort.

The object of the present invention is to design a slatted frame of the type defined at the outset in such a way that, by means of structurally simple measures, in particular a weight-dependent lowering of the slatted frame area assigned to the shoulder section enables a maximum of comfort to be achieved, regardless of a possible inclination adjustment of the head part , in the various lying positions of the user.

This object is achieved according to the invention essentially by the features of the characterizing part of claim 1.

It is of major advantage that with this slatted base according to the invention, in the case of the lowering of crossbars, not necessarily other or adjacent ones Crossbars are raised, and that this solution can be used with both adjustable and non-adjustable headboard and its integration in the headboard achieves an optimal result with a minimum of effort.

By dividing the head part into two and assigning a spring return system to the swivel joint provided between the two parts, the desired lowering can already be achieved by slight shoulder pressure from the user, and the head part automatically returns to the extended, in particular horizontal, position when the sleeper shifts his position and thus changes the shoulder pressure in such a way that a lowering of crossbars is no longer desirable, but would actually be disruptive. This automatic adaptation to the optimal position from the point of view of comfort is inevitably controlled as a function of the position and weight of the user and is implemented by means of extremely simple technical means.

Particularly advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in the subclaims.

Fig. 1 zeigt einen in Draufsicht rechteckigen Grundrahmen 1, in dem ein Kopfteil 2 und ein Fußteil 3 angebracht sind.1 shows a base frame 1 which is rectangular in plan view and in which a head part 2 and a foot part 3 are attached.

The head part 2 and foot part 3 carry slat holders 4, known per se, preferably made of elastic material, to which cross slats 5 are tiltably attached.

Base frame 1, head part 2, foot part 3 and crossbars 5 are usually made of wood, but can also consist of metal or plastic. The slat brackets 4 are generally made of rubber or plastic.

The foot part 3 can be fixed in the base frame 1, but preferably it is pivotally mounted by means of a fitting, not shown, so that the user's leg can be inclined.

According to the invention, the head part 2 is divided into two frame parts 2a, 2b, and these two frame parts are connected to one another via a swivel joint 6, which enables the setting of an obtuse-angled relative position between the two frame parts 2a, 2b. A spring system 7, which is attached between the two frame parts 2a, 2b, exerts a restoring force on the two frame parts 2a, 2b in such a way that the two frame parts are returned to the stretched, mutually aligned, horizontal position in the lightly loaded state.

In Fig. 1 the slatted frame is shown on the one hand the extended, unloaded position, and on the other hand in a position in which the two frame parts 2a ', 2b' brought into an obtuse-angled relative position due to the exertion of a slight shoulder pressure of the user, ie the crossbars 5 are lowered. The existing spring system between the two frame parts 2a, 2b brings about an inevitable lowering and resetting of the crossbars 5, which is dependent on the position and the weight of the user.

Fig. 2 shows the two frame parts 2a, 2b in connection with a spring system 7, which is associated with the hinge 6 and is attached to the side of the frame parts 2a, 2b and can consist of an elastic band.

In the case of the embodiment variant according to FIG. 3, the spring system is realized by using leaf springs, while in the case of the embodiment variant according to FIG. 4, spiral or tension springs arranged on the underside of the frame parts 2a, 2b form the spring system 7. The interaction between the spring system and the frame parts can be optimized by suitable shaping of the frame parts 2a in the region of the respective spring system.

The head part 2, which consists of the frame parts 2a, 2b, can also be brought into different inclined positions in its entirety, by means of levers, scissors and the like articulated on the base frame 1. To ensure that when using levers, scissors and the like arranged on both sides of the head part there is always a synchronous adjustment, these adjusting elements can be coupled with one another, if necessary, or care is taken to ensure that the head part is as torsionally rigid as possible, in order also for one one-sided lifting of the head section to ensure even actuation of the actuators.

In special embodiments, the head part can also be assigned a rigid transverse binding, which is also the point of attack for a gas spring provided for adjusting the head part.

To limit the obtuse-angled relative position of the two frame parts 2a, 2b, at least one stop is expediently provided, in particular in an adjustable embodiment, as a result of which a defined sinking in of the shoulder region can be predetermined, especially when the head part is not raised.
