Claims (11)

1. A device for coupling a heald motion or a shedding motion (20) of a loom (10) to a shaft frame (42), there being provided more particularly lateral guides (14, 16) for the shaft frame (42), the heald motion being connected by way of bent levers (26, 28) to the shedding motion (20), characterised by a coupling sleeve (36) formed with a cavity (40) adapted to receive a coupling element (44), the cavity (40) having at least one tooth-like projection (48, 50) which, when the coupling sleeve (36) and coupling member (44) are in registration with one another and joined together, engages in a corresponding recess (52, 54) in the coupling member (44), the cavity (40) being so formed with a widening (56, 58) opposite the projection (48, 50) that a relative pivoting of the sleeve (36) and coupling member (44) is ensured to disengage the tooth-like projection (48, 50) and release the coupling.
2. A device according to claim 1, characterised in that the sleeve (36) and coupling member (44) are of substantially rectangular cross-section and the widening (56, 58) opposite the projection (48, 50) is wedge-shaped.
3. A device according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the base of the coupling sleeve (36) is in the form of a slideway (60) having a cylindrical envelope surface on which a matching sliding surface 62) of the coupling member (44) bears.

A device according to any of claims 1-3, characterised in that for relative pivoting of the sleeve (36) and member (44) at least one of the lateral guides (14, 16) of the shaft frame (42) is movable in the picking direction, the bent levers (26, 28) remaining approximately in a position corresponding to the central position (M) of the shaft frame (42).
5. A device according to any of claims 1-3, characterised in that for relative pivoting of the coupling sleeve (36) and coupling member (44) the bent levers (26, 28) can be pivoted beyond their top dead centre position (A), the shaft frame (42) moving vertically.
6. A device according to any of claims 1-5, characterised in that for relative pivoting of the coupling sleeve (36) and coupling member (44) at least one lateral abutment (64, 66) for the heald motion rods (32, 34) is provided.
7. A device according to claim 6, characterised in that the lateral abutment (64, 66) is groove-like, a groove (68) being associated with each heald motion rod (32, 34).
8. A device according to any of claims 1-7, characterised in that the top widening (56) of the coupling sleeve (36) is closed by a closure member (90) when the coupling is in the engaged state and the coupling sleeve (36) and coupling member (44) are positioned in registration with one another.
9. A device according to any of claims 1-8, characterised in that the shedding motion (20) actuating the bent levers (26, 28) is connected by way of a control facility (83) to at least one robot gripper (78, 80) for changing the shafts (18).
10. A device according to any of claims 1-9, characterised in that at least one flank (49, 51) of the tooth-like projection (48, 50) is so curved that a wedge-like clamping is ensured during engagement.
11. A device according to any of claims 1-10, characterised in that it is disposed between the shedding motion (20) and the heald motion (24, 26, 32).
