Description

The invention relates to a frame for receiving insulating glass panes, which has rungs which can be fastened to the frame body by means of connecting pieces which are made of plastic and are insulating against heat conduction.

Spacer frames of the type mentioned at the outset are known (DE-PS 26 37 034), in which the connecting pieces engage at one end in a form-fitting and non-positive manner in the hollow profile of the rung and at their other end have a pin for fastening in a bore in the frame body . It has been shown that the pin of the connecting piece seated in the bore of the frame body does not guarantee a secure hold of the rung and that the bore itself has a considerable disadvantage in that drying agent filled into the cavity of the frame body prior to the installation of the connecting piece, For example, silica gel, can fall out, which is why the hole must be closed by a special plug before the connector is attached to the frame body.

The object of the invention is therefore to develop the construction of the type mentioned so that the prefabrication of a hole in the frame body is unnecessary and moreover a tight fit of the connector is ensured on the frame body, so that the rungs maintain their installation position.

This object is achieved in that the connecting piece has a bore extending in the direction of the surface of the frame body, through which a fastening element can be inserted, which cuts into the frame body and clamps the connector on it.

However, this solution still has a disadvantage in that it can only be used for square or rectangular and square frames, ie those in which the rungs meet the frame bodies surrounding them at right angles. In cases in which so-called model panes are used, i.e. panes of non-square outline, for example triangular panes, as is the case, for example, with windows arranged under sloping ceilings or also studio windows, the known connecting pieces are unusable for the rungs because the latter abut obliquely running frame bodies .

It is therefore a further object of the invention to design the construction of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that it not only allows such rungs, which meet the frame body of the insulating glass pane at right angles, to be connected to the latter, but also such rungs on the frame body fasten, which run at an acute angle to the latter. This is intended to provide the possibility of giving rungs for windows with model panes, i.e. insulating glass panes with a shape deviating from a rectangular or square outline, a secure hold on the frame body, without the connection piece required for this, if at all, being significantly more expensive to produce requires as the known connectors for frames with right-angled rungs.

This further object is achieved in that the connecting piece is designed as a disk-shaped or spherical body, the convex circumferential surface of which partially protrudes from the front rung cavity opening and in the region of this protruding circumferential surface part with the surface of the frame body, which runs at an angle 9 90 ° to the rung profile body , is fastened with the aid of the fastening element.

The main idea of this solution is therefore to give the connecting piece an external shape, on the basis of which it can be inserted into the lattice profile body cavity and connected to the frame body to which the lattice profile body abuts, even if the end of the lattice profile body - and therefore its end face is cut obliquely, at the angle that the rung should make with respect to the frame body. Because the connecting piece is a disk-shaped or spherical body, the convex circumferential surface of which protrudes from the front rung cavity opening, the longitudinal axis of the frame body can be arranged at any angle, which is approximately between 15 ° and 90 ° , to the longitudinal axis of the rung profile body, in each case the wall of the frame profile body rests on the convex peripheral surface of the connecting piece.

The frame body 1 denoted by 1 in FIG. 1 is part of a frame for receiving insulating glass panes, which is provided with rungs 2, which are seated on the end face of its surface 14 and are fastened to it with the aid of a connector 3 made of heat-insulating plastic. For this purpose, the connector, which in its across the cross section of the high len web 2 measured width of two parallel edge webs 4, 5 is limited to a parallel to these edge webs central web 6, which is traversed by a through hole 9. The edge webs and the central web open on the end face on the side facing the surface 14 of the frame body 1 into a flange body 7 and on the side facing away from this flange body in a cross body 8.

A screw 10 is inserted through the bore 9, which extends completely through the central web 6 and the flange body 7 of the connecting piece 3 adjoining it, in the direction of the surface 14 of the frame body 1, the thread 16 of which extends over its tip 12 and which extends cuts itself through the wall 15 of the hollow frame body 1 to create a hole 13 and clamp the connector to the wall 15. In the installed state shown in FIG. 1, the head 11 of the screw 10 rests on the crossbar 8 of the connecting piece 3, and the flange body 7 is attracted to the wall 15, as a result of which there is thermal insulation between this wall and the end face of the hollow rung 2, since this end face rests on the flange body 7. The two parallel edge webs 4 and 5 are dimensioned such that the rung can be non-positively attached to the connector 3 already firmly connected to the frame body 1.

Characterized in that the screw 10 cuts itself into the frame body 1, it is avoided that in the cavity of the frame body 1 located silica gel falls out of the latter in the connection area between the connector and frame body, since no hole has to be pre-drilled in the wall 15 for the screw 10 . At the same time it is achieved that the connector 3 is stuck and the rung 2 constantly maintains its seat in the frame.

In the illustrated embodiment, thermal insulation of the end face of the rung 2 against the surface 14 of the frame body is achieved by the flange body 7 extending somewhat beyond the edge webs, so that the rung end face abuts against this projecting tab 17 of the flange body.

However, it is also possible, as shown in FIG. 4, to omit the tabs 17 and to insert the connecting piece 3 with its flange body 7 completely into the end face of the rung, so that there is no gap between the two in the assembled state of the frame body 1 and rung 2.

The frame body designated by 22 in FIG. 5 is also part of a spacer profile for receiving insulating glass panes, which is provided with rungs. Such a rung profile body is shown at 18. Its front opening is chamfered at an angle a to its longitudinal axis 30, so that the front rung cavity opening strikes the surface 25 of the frame body 22 at this angle and thus the longitudinal axes of 30 and 31 of the rung profile body 18 or frame body 22 intersect at said angle .

To fasten the rung profile body 18 to the frame body 22, a connecting piece 20 is inserted, which is inserted into the cavity 19 of the rung profile body and clamps between the profile body walls 27 which delimit this cavity, whereby it partially protrudes from the rung cavity opening, so that part of the connecting piece 20 via the Opening edge 32 of the shorter wall 33 of the two opposing walls 33 and 34 of the rung profile body protrudes.

In the present exemplary embodiment, the connecting piece 20 is a flat, disk-shaped body with a circular circumference, on the convex-shaped peripheral surface of which in the region of the part of the connecting piece 20 projecting beyond the opening edge 32, the surface 25 of the frame body 22 lies tangentially.

The connecting piece 20 has a radial through bore 23 for receiving a fastening element 24 in the form of a screw, the thread of which extends over its tip and which cuts through the wall 35 of the hollow frame body 22 in order to fasten the connecting piece 20 to the frame body 22 .

The connecting piece 20 has a cross-sectional enlargement in the area of the bore 23 for the fastening element 24, which - as can be seen in FIG. 6 - is designed on both sides of the connecting element in the form of a plate-shaped, central extension 26 and has the purpose of a screw head 29 To create support that sits in an provided at the outer end of the bore 23, which is remote from the frame body 22, extension 28 which is dimensioned so that a fastening tool can engage the screw head when the connector 20 is screwed to the frame body 22 .

The greatest thickness of the flat, disc-shaped body which forms the connecting piece 20 depends on the width of the profile cavity 19 and corresponds to this width in the limit case, so that the connecting piece then at more than two separate locations with the inner wall 27 of the rung profile body 18 in Touch.

The construction described enables the simple connection of frame profile bodies with rung profiles for insulating glass panes in cases where the rungs do not meet the frame parts surrounding them at a right angle, i.e. no rectangular or square glass panes are used, but instead, for example, triangular or trapezoidal configuration, as is the case today can be found more or less immediately below the roof on the gable sides of pitched roof houses if the attic is developed as a living, working or studio space.

The convex, in this case circular circumferential surface 21 of the connecting piece 20 gives the possibility to arrange and fasten the rung profile body at any angle to the surrounding frame profile body, since the surface 25 of the frame body 22 Convex circumferential surface of the connector 20 touches like a tangent and thus at any angle, which in practice are between 15 ° and 90 ° .

Instead of the flat, disc-shaped body of circular circumference shown in the drawing as a connecting piece, a body with a non-circular circumferential surface could also be used, as well as a spherical body, the connecting piece in each case being clamped between the walls delimiting the cavity of the rung profile body in order to be there to be stuck.

In the event that the connecting piece is designed as a spherical body, the cavity cross section of the rung profile body is expediently square corresponding to the diameter of this spherical body.
