Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for cooling undercarriage of kiln cars in a tunnel kiln according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the invention further relates to a device for carrying out the method with a combustion channel formed by the kiln car running closely on the tunnel side walls above the kiln car and one below the kiln car Undercarriage channel and with aprons arranged on the kiln car, protruding towards the foundation of the kiln.
- the undercarriage channel formed by the kiln cars, the foundation floor and the side walls of the tunnel kiln must be cooled in order to dissipate the heat flowing through the car forming the sole of the combustion channel, in order to prevent the kiln cars from overheating.
- the undercarriage duct is usually cooled with air that is drawn through the undercarriage duct from the exit side to the entry side of the furnace.
- the combustion tunnel's combustion duct is flushed with gases in the same direction, so that a pressure drop arises in both ducts from the exit to the entry side, which, however, differs due to different resistances, so that false air can flow between the ducts, which can be prevented by suitable sealing measures is.
- the temperature rise of the undercarriage duct runs in such a way that the highest temperature is only reached towards the end of the firing zone, and in the case of stoves which pass very quickly, even towards the end of the cooling zone. Undercarriage cooling in the heating zone of the tunnel oven is not necessary.
- the usual form of tunnel kiln construction in the ceramic industry to seal the wagon train is to provide aprons on the long sides of the wagons, which plunge into sand channels in the base of the side walls of the kiln, so that closed barriers along the length of the kiln formed by the sand arise, which should prevent pressure equalization between the undercarriage duct and the combustion duct.
- the car joints are sealed with cords made of elastic material (see Lingl brochure sheet F 045 / 3.7.82).
- the disadvantage here is that the sand skirts can only have a relatively small immersion depth for structural and cost reasons, but that the sand, which - in order not to be pulled away - must be relatively coarse, is gas-permeable, so that the seal is only defective.
- cooling air is drawn in the undercarriage duct from the exit to the entry side of the furnace, i.e. also through the heating zone.
- a kiln car sealing system in which the kiln cars are designed as a downwardly open box with all-round sheet metal aprons, the car train running in a liquid bath, so that a continuous hydraulic seal is created under the kiln car train, whereby the liquid is circulated for cooling.
- a disadvantage of this system are the branch and lifting devices required at the furnace entrance and exit in order to lower or lift the furnace wagons into the tub filled with liquid.
- Another disadvantage is the lack of gradation of the cooling capacity of the liquid in the continuous trough, so that e.g. in the heating zone of the furnace, where undercarriage cooling is neither necessary nor practical, heat is also removed from the combustion duct.
- the invention has for its object to provide an undercarriage cooling of kiln cars in a tunnel kiln, which allows targeted cooling of the undercarriage parts with the least possible false air for the combustion channel in the heating zone.
- a useful device for performing the method according to claim 1 is contained in claims 3 to 10.
- the advantages that can be achieved with the invention are that, in particular in the heating zone, a pressure drop between the combustion duct and the undercarriage duct is reduced, so that there is largely avoided false air. They also consist in intensive undercarriage cooling in the area of high temperatures.
- the cooling air flows in the longitudinal direction of the tunnel oven.
- the recessed undercarriage channel When the recessed undercarriage channel is divided into sections, different cooling of the sections is possible to the extent dependent on the temperature.
- the subdivision of the undercarriage duct avoids a flow in the longitudinal direction, but allows pressure equalization between the combustion duct and the undercarriage duct, so that the cooling of the undercarriage parts by means of convection flow of the air occurs by means of the cooling pipes.
- the cooling can be controlled by measuring the amount of coolant in the pipes.
- the kiln cars can be transported on the same level inside and outside the tunnel kiln so that the car circulation can be designed with conventional means and existing systems can be converted in the sense of the invention.
- the wagon train 2 consisting of kiln car 1 is tightly closed and track-bound, pushed through the tunnel kiln and forms the lower end of the combustion duct 4, which is separated by the wagon train 2 from the undercarriage duct 5.
- the furnace cars 1 are provided with aprons on their end faces, which seal against the furnace walls 7.
- the furnace foundation 8 is in a starting at most from the middle of the firing zone and extending over the cooling zone area of the furnace 3 as a trough, the bottom of the foundation 8 being lowered so far that a continuous recessed undercarriage channel 5 'is formed below the aprons 6.
- a fan 16 is arranged at the end of the cooling zone III in the recessed undercarriage duct 5 ⁇ , with which cooling air is blown into the recessed undercarriage duct 5 ⁇ and can be discharged through an opening 17 in the region of the combustion zone II.
- the opening 17 can be closed by means of a flap 18, which can be controlled manually or via the temperature in the recessed undercarriage channel 5 ⁇ .
- the performance of the fan 16 is controlled via the pressure difference between the recessed undercarriage duct 5 ⁇ and the combustion duct 4 in the region of the combustion zone II, the pressure difference being kept as constant as possible.
- the recessed undercarriage channel 5 ' is divided by partitions 9 at a distance A from one another which corresponds to the kiln car feed or multiples of the car feed in the intermittently charged furnace, the partitions 9 being pulled up to the level of the track head, so that at most a small distance between apron 6 and partition 9 is formed.
- the kiln car tracks 10 are supported with supports 11 for bridging the resulting chambers 12, in which cooling tubes 13 are arranged directly below the supports 11 in such a way that a natural circulation of the air in the chambers 12 occurs, which in sections is in chamber length or a multiple thereof their intensity and thus cooling effect.
- Air is neither supplied nor discharged in the undercarriage duct.
- the possibly remaining small gap between the aprons 6 and the furnace walls 7 or partitions 9 does not allow a significant longitudinal flow.

Abstract
Description
- Fig. 1 schematisch eine Querschnittsansicht des Tunnelofens mit Ofenwagen;
- Fig. 2 schematisch einen Längsschnitt durch den Tunnelofen mit Ofenwagenzug im Kühlbereich mit unterteiltem Unterwagenkanal;
- Fig. 3 schematisch einen Längsschnitt durch den Tunnelofen mit Aufheiz-, Brenn- und Kühlzone und mit durchgehendem Unterwagenkanal im Kühlbereich des Tunnelofens;
Claims (10)
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
