Description

The invention relates to a cooling container for butter or the like with the features specified in the preamble of claim 1. In such a cooling container e.g. Butter should be kept at a relatively constant and low temperature while maintaining their spreadability.

There are various cooling containers for butter known (DE-PS 44 370, DE-PS 809 466 and FR-A 822 434), in which the lid is in the form of a bell, or a hood, which is supported on insulated soil and with absorbent Material are covered. The bell can also consist of porous clay (DE-GM 8130421). A cooling container according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from FR-A 822 434.

With some containers, the water often evaporates in a short time. Maintenance of the absorbent material is also problematic. Since a protective cap is missing over the moist layer, these containers do not meet the requirements in terms of hygiene and aesthetics. When opening these containers, there is a risk that water will be poured out and a free, clean place is needed to put the bell or hood down, so that the handling is cumbersome and unsanitary.

Furthermore, an uncooled butter dish with a removable lid which can be pivoted in a joint is known (DE-OS 1 529 341). The joint is formed by a hook-shaped web arranged on the cover, which engages in a slot in the butter dish.

The invention has for its object to provide a cooling container of the type mentioned in the preamble of claim 1, in which frequent water refilling is unnecessary and in which perfect hygienic conditions and simple operation when removing the butter, when filling the water with water level indicator and should be guaranteed during the maintenance of the absorbent material. The design of the cooling container should make it easy to replace the absorbent material. It is advantageous to moisten a sheet of kitchen paper, which is normally found in every kitchen, and to put it on the lid and the fin-like extension. A simple structural design should result if the fin-like extension is used for the articulated connection of the cooling container. The arrangement of a channel has the advantage that water when the cooling container is closed i.e. can be refilled with the lid on, without water getting onto the goods to be cooled when it is poured onto the top of the lid.

This object is achieved according to the invention in the cooling container according to the preamble by the features specified in the characterizing part of patent claim 1.

Advantageous developments of the subject matter of the invention are shown in the dependent claims 2 to 7.

The advantages achieved by the invention are, in particular, that the water storage container is separated from the butter chamber and the cooling lid, which can be easily plugged in and is articulated, can be easily covered with absorbent material. The protective cap reduces contamination of the absorbent material and prevents the water from evaporating too quickly, which corresponds to hygienic requirements.

An advantageous embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is additionally specified in subclaim 3. By training according to this claim, an effective cooling of the butter dish can be achieved from below.

The cooling container is also suitable for keeping food such as cheese fresh. Practice has shown that, for example, even sandwiches can keep the freshness in the cooling container for hours without drying out.

The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to exemplary embodiments shown in the drawing.

The cooling container for butter consists of a cooling lid 1, a base 2 and a butter dish 3. The cooling lid 1 consists of an inner wall 4, which is surrounded at the bottom at the front and on the side by a groove 6 and has a fin-like extension 5 at the rear, which is designed accordingly forms an easily attachable joint 12 in connection with the base frame 2. The inner wall 4 and the fin-like extension 5 are coated on the outside with an absorbent material 8. On the outside of the front channel 6 there is a handle 7 to make it easier to open and close the cooling cover 1.

On the outer edge of the channel 6, a removable, perforated protective cap 9 is placed, which protects the absorbent material 8 from dirt and rapid evaporation of the water. The base frame 2 is designed as a water reservoir 11, on the front of which there is a viewing window 10 through which the water level can be checked. To refill water, it only needs to be poured onto the surface of the cooling lid.

The water collects in the channels 6 and can flow from there via the fin-like extension 5 into the water reservoir 11. A removable base plate is placed in the upper area of the base frame 2. This has a depression or curvature for centering the butter dish and can be designed either as a thermal insulation plate 15 (FIG. 2) or as a cooling floor. In the latter embodiment, the Bo denplatte provided with a fin-like extension 13. The base plate and extension are covered with absorbent material 8. The base plate is separated from the water by a partition plate 14, the base frame 2 being perforated at the top on the side and at the front in order to allow the water to evaporate (FIG. 3).

A removable butter dish 3 can be placed on the base plate.

When the water reservoir 11 is filled with water, the absorbent material 8 is placed on it and the cooling lid 1 is closed, the water is sucked in by the absorbent material 8 located on the fin-like extension and distributed on the surface of the cooling lid, where it evaporates. This removes heat from the room under the cooling lid, so that butter placed there is kept cool and keeps its spreadability.
