The legs mentioned have bores through which the pivot axis 13 is inserted so that the actuating device 8, 9 or 10 or 28 designed as a lever can pivot about this pivot axis 13. In the starting position, the lever can be directed about 60 degrees upwards and forwards.
- the forked legs continue angled and form the lever pieces 23, each of these lever pieces 23 being equipped on the underside with an exchangeable brake bar 3.
- the interchangeability is made possible by a screw connection 12.
- Brake bar 3 and lever piece 23 together form the brake piece 7.

- This ski pole guide is expanded in the direction of the insertion opening 14 or 15 or 16 or 29 and has an insertion apron 17 or 18 or 19 or 37 in the outermost region. While the introduction apron 17 completely surrounds the ski pole guide 1 designed as a bore and thereby forms an enlarged hollow cone which opens into the ski pole guide 1, the introduction skirts 18, 19 and 37 only partially cover the ski pole guide 1. This makes it possible to easily insert the tip of the ski stick into the ski stick guide 1.
- the device can be actuated by pivoting the actuating devices 8, 9, 10 or 28 in the direction of arrow 25.
- the tip of the ski pole is inserted into the ski pole guide 1, after which the skier pulls the ski pole towards his body.
- angular positions of the actuating devices occur 8, 9 or 10 or 28 and angular positions of the brake pieces 7, as shown in dash-dotted lines in the drawings.
- Each brake piece 7 thus penetrates into the subsurface 6 and thereby causes a corresponding braking effect. If the ski pole, not shown, is pushed forward again in the direction of travel 1, the device returns to its starting position. This applies correspondingly to the embodiment according to FIGS. 7 and 8.
- each actuating device 8, 9 or 10 or 28 can also be e.g. stand under the preload of a spring.
- at least one spiral spring 4 ' is provided coaxially to the pivot axis 13, which is supported on the one hand on the base plate and on the other hand on the actuating device 8 and 28 designed as a lever.
- the starting position in Figures 1 and 5 and 7 is the thick extended position.
- a leaf spring 4a is provided as the elastic element, the leaf spring foot 4 of which is fastened in the area of the base plate 2 and which, for example, rests on the rear side of the actuating device 10.
- This leaf spring 4a is shaped so that it always wants to press the actuating device 10 into the starting position. During the pivoting movement of the actuating device 10 in the direction of arrow 25, the leaf spring 4a must be able to slide on the rear of the actuating device 10. It is therefore only there. In order to avoid damage and injuries, the leaf spring 4a is covered in this area by a cover plate 26, which does not hinder the mobility of the leaf spring.
- FIG. 9 shows an aid to be fastened to the ski pole tip 39 for actuating the braking device according to the invention.
- a split clamping sleeve 40 is clamped over the clamping screws 41.
- the clamping sleeve 40 here has a curved insertion pin 43, the insertion end of which extends parallel to the ski pole tip 39, but at a distance 44 therefrom.
- a cross pin 42 provides the necessary fastening of the insertion pin 43 to the clamping sleeve 40.
- the end of the insertion pin 43 can now be inserted into the openings provided for this purpose in the braking device in order to actuate the braking device.
- the device shown in FIG. 9 facilitates insertion and actuation. At the same time, the device according to FIG. 9 in no way interferes with the handling of the ski pole.
- a simple device is created that enables reliable braking of the ski. It is not absolutely necessary that two brake pieces are provided for one ski and it is not absolutely necessary that these brake pieces be arranged on the side of the ski. It is conceivable to provide at least one brake piece in a corresponding opening in the ski. It is also not absolutely necessary for the brake piece and the actuating device to be made in one piece or at least in one unit. An active connection between the two is sufficient.
- a device is also conceivable in which the brake piece can be pivoted in the same way about a pivot axis, but a cam lever or eccentric lever rests on the upper side of the brake piece, which is also held rotatably, whereby the eccentric or cam of this lever then Brake piece 7 is pivoted.
- the eccentric is also in operative connection with the brake piece.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for arrangement on a ski, with a base plate for attachment to the top of a ski in front of the fastening means for the ski boot and with at least one pivotable about a pivot axis brake piece, which is designed as a pivotable lever, the free end of which at least slightly Angled underground.
Various devices are known which are arranged on a ski and which generally serve to connect the ski to the ski boot. Such devices have reached a high technical level today and are generally known under the term of security binding.
It often happens that on narrow descents, icy ravines, on steep slopes, downhill trails and other bottlenecks, especially beginners get into difficulties because of the acceleration that occurs. In order to reduce the ride, he has to bring the skis into a symmetrical angular position by applying heel pressure on both sides, whereby the ski tips have to be held close together. This braking figure is known as the "snow plow". The difficulty with this braking method lies in the bent position compared to the upright posture. The pelvis gets into a forced posture, which leads to painful cramping if it is carried out for a long time. In addition, especially with this figure, the beginner easily loses control of the skis, so that the ski tips overlap. This inevitably leads to a fall. In addition, the braking effect of this figure depends on the skill and technique of the skier. This braking figure can also not be used on a downhill trail and when driving on a slope.
A device of the type described above is also known from DE-A-27 57 942. However, this device is very unstable, exerts an undesirable braking effect on the angled parts even in the unactuated state and requires relatively large actuating forces on the towing line. The pull line itself is difficult to handle because it cannot have a handle. Since the hand necessary for the actuation also has to hold the ski pole, actuation of the pull line becomes almost impossible.
The problem described for DE-A-27 57 942 was solved according to FR-A-2540734 in that the ski pole and brake device were designed in such a way that instead of the cord, the ski pole could now be pulled upwards to actuate the brake device. Corresponding eyelets were provided on the braking device and corresponding hooks on the ski pole. However, it remains disadvantageous that the reaction force to be absorbed by the leg muscles leads to uncertainties in standing. Bumps change the braking effect unevenly, which leads to unwanted and undesirable changes in direction. The attached ski poles should only be removed with care. The ski pole is therefore not available for sudden maneuvers. In the event of a fall, the ski pole sticks to the ski and can cause injuries.
Based on this situation, the invention is based on the object of proposing a device for arrangement on a ski, which makes the application and practice of the previous braking technology superfluous and which makes a braking maneuver possible even with parallel ski guidance. The handling should be simple and possible with low forces and should allow a safe stand. This object is achieved on the basis of a device of the type described at the outset in that each pivotable lever is designed as a unit with a single actuating device having an actuating arm, the actuating arm of which extends at an angle to the pivotable lever and away from the base plate and an approximately radial to the pivot axis Has insertion opening, wherein in the rest position, the angled end of the pivotable lever is above a support plane formed by the underside of the base plate and wherein the pivotable lever and the actuating device are arranged pivotably about the same axis which runs through a receiving device on the base plate. Such a brake piece itself works when it is moved against the ground, such as a shoe brake. The ski equipped with this brake piece is delayed when the brake piece is actuated, that is to say when it is pressed against the ground. The element decelerating the speed is now no longer the ski itself to be actuated by the foot, but rather the said brake piece which has an actuating device. With this actuating device, the brake piece can: be moved against the ground, so that the desired braking effect occurs. The arrangement described is also such that the braking device has no effect that is not wanted. Because the angled end lies above the support plane on the ski in the rest position, a noteworthy unwanted braking effect is avoided. In addition, the angle lever with the insertion opening allows the brake to be actuated by means of the ski pole, which can be inserted with its tip or with an auxiliary part fastened in the area of the tip, so that a long and conveniently operated lever is available. The hands do not have to operate any other operating element or operating element, but remain on the ski pole. As a result, a favorable lever ratio for actuating the brake is achieved at the same time without the actuating element having to be pulled upwards. It is impossible for the ski pole to get caught and braking forces to be influenced by bumps.
The fact that the pivotable lever and the actuating device are arranged pivotable about the same axis means that the structure of the device is significantly simplified. The fact that each pivotable lever and the actuating device are constructed in a unit, a simple structure and high stability of the device is achieved.
An embodiment of the invention provides that the insertion opening has at least partially longitudinal grooves on the inside. This promotes a safe introduction of the ski pole or the aid arranged thereon.
According to a further embodiment of the invention it is proposed that the lever carries an interchangeably arranged brake beam. In this way, the element that is exposed to wear is designed to be interchangeable and it is also possible to provide different designs of the brake beam for different uses.
In addition, it is proposed according to the invention that the brake beam is attached to the lever by a screw connection. Such a connection is easy to establish, secure and also allows the brake beam to be replaced easily.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the lower region of the free end of the lever or bar has transverse grooves or a transverse toothing at least in the angled region. As a result, the braking effect is improved and the actuating device is relieved.
Another embodiment of the invention proposes that at least two brake pieces are provided. As a result, a symmetrical loading of the ski is achieved in particular when the brake pieces are provided on the side of the ski, as is proposed according to a further embodiment of the invention. But it is also possible to provide these brake pieces in different designs and angular positions so that they can be used one after the other when actuated.
In addition, it is then provided according to the invention that both brake pieces are designed as a pivotable lever and arranged on a common pivot axis, and form an angle lever in a unit with a common actuating device. As a result, simple production and high stability are again achieved with simple actuation options.
Another embodiment of the invention provides that the ski pole guide is expanded at least in the entrance area of the insertion opening. As a result, the introduction of the ski pole tip or an aid arranged thereon is extremely facilitated.
A supplementary embodiment of the invention in turn provides that the insertion opening in the entrance area has an insertion apron which at least partially encompasses the insertion opening. This is a further relief for the introduction of the ski pole. As far as the receiving opening is only partially covered by the insertion tip, the ski pole can even be placed laterally against the apron and then inserted with the apron as a guide.
A variation of the invention provides that the apron is formed in one piece with the actuating device. As a result, simple manufacture and high strength are achieved and displacement or twisting of the insertion apron is excluded.
It is further proposed according to the invention that the actuating device is cut obliquely on its upper end face, such that in the assembled state the edge facing the rotor is lower than the opposite edge. This significantly simplifies the introduction of the ski pole tip or an appropriate aid.
In addition, it is then proposed according to the invention that the introductory apron is curved outwards and merges into the oblique gate in its outer end region. This is a particularly favorable embodiment of the introductory apron which facilitates the introduction.
In addition, it is provided according to the invention that a stop is provided for fixing the starting position of the brake pieces and the actuating device. As a result, a clear position is always defined for the rest position, from which the actuating device can be actuated. An improper misalignment is prevented.
Another embodiment of the invention in turn provides that a stop is provided to fix the starting position of the brake piece and the actuating device. As a result, a clear position is always defined for the rest position, from which the actuating device can be actuated. An improper misalignment is prevented.
In addition, it is provided according to the invention that the device has an elastic element which urges the brake piece and actuating device into the initial position in the non-actuated state and holds it there. This ensures that the device automatically returns to the starting position when the actuating force ceases to exist.
In addition, the innovation provides that the elastic element is a spiral spring which is arranged coaxially to the pivot axis. Such a spiral spring can be accommodated in a space-saving manner and requires no complex structural measures for its arrangement.
Alternatively, it is provided according to the invention that the elastic element is designed as a leaf spring, one end of which is attached to an immovable part and the other end of which is placed against the actuating device, so that it is urged into the starting position. A leaf spring is also easy to attach and is still functional even when iced up.
According to a supplement to the invention, it is provided that one end of a pivot axis in the mounting arrangement on both sides of the ski survives and a pivotable lever is arranged there. Due to the bilateral arrangement of the pivotable levers on a pivot axis, their easy pivotability and their secure hold is achieved. The pivot axis itself can be easily and sufficiently securely attached to the ski directly or by means of aids, for example via a base plate with a corresponding mounting device.
Finally, it is also proposed according to the invention that the brake piece or brake bar is widened at least on one side in the area provided for engagement with the ground. This can improve the braking effect for use in loose snow or deep snow.
The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, which show exemplary embodiments.

Figures 1 to 8 show different devices according to the invention, which, however, correspond in many essential components. Figure 9 shows an actuation aid.
The device according to the invention is intended to brake a ski. The entire device can be mounted on a ski, for example, before binding. For this purpose, the device can have a
The
Die Aufnahmeeinrichtung 21 bzw. 22 bzw. The receiving
The forked legs continue angled and form the
In its direction of
If the device is attached to a
To achieve the starting position, however, each
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 3, 4, a leaf spring 4a is provided as the elastic element, the
With the invention, a simple device is created that enables reliable braking of the ski. For example, a device is also conceivable in which the brake piece can be pivoted in the same way about a pivot axis, but a cam lever or eccentric lever rests on the upper side of the brake piece, which is also held rotatably, whereby the eccentric or cam of this lever then
