Description

The invention relates to a system for a golf-like ball game arranged in a grass-covered area, with a plurality of tees and targets, the greens, the golf club being used to hit the ball as close as possible to a green from a tee A plurality of tees is assigned to a green, the distances between the tees and the associated green are at least partially different and at least one green is provided with concentric target circles in the manner of a target.

A disadvantage of the known golf game is that a system for it has a very large area requirement. It has therefore already been attempted to create golf-like ball games that require less space. A game is described in US Pat. No. 4,145,053 in which four elongated play zones of different lengths extend parallel to one another. Each game zone has a green and you can play on this green from different distances. Three of the greens have concentric target circles. The structure of the well-known system does not allow a game to be played that comes very close to golf, if only because the straight paths lack the feeling of space - and freedom that is inherent in the game of golf.

No. 4,063,738 describes an installation of the type mentioned at the outset, in which a green provided with target circles is arranged at the end of a playing field. A second green, completely separate from the first green, is arranged at the end of a second playing field. The tees assigned to each green are each within a range of a maximum of 90 ° in front of the corresponding green. Although it is stated as the goal that a normal golf game should be imitated with a smaller footprint, this goal is not achieved with this system either, because the almost bowling-like arrangement means that the game's own feeling of freedom and spaciousness cannot be conveyed.

It is therefore the aim of the present invention to create a system of the type mentioned at the outset, with which it is possible to simulate the known golf game on much smaller terrain in such a way that the same result can be achieved and experience can be imparted as in the game of golf. This is achieved in that the greens provided with concentric target circles are arranged side by side in the middle of the system and the tees are located around these greens.

Due to the arrangement of the tees around the greens lying in the middle, the space requirement is far less than in the conventional golf game, but the feeling of spaciousness is not lost. Due to the concentration of the game, the game is more spectator and media-friendly, whereby there is also the possibility of a floodlight system. Naturally, a system according to the invention is also easier to maintain than known systems.

In order to largely approximate a game to be carried out on a system according to the invention to the playing conditions of normal golf, it is expedient if, in a manner known per se, at least some of the tees are arranged on a wall surrounding the greens, preferably of different heights.

The invention is described below with reference to an embodiment shown in the drawings. 1 shows a system according to the invention in a top view, and FIG. 2 shows a green provided with concentric target circles on an enlarged scale.

According to FIG. 1, eighteen tees 1 to 18 are arranged on a wall 19 in an area which can be approximately 200 x 300 m in size. The height of the wall 19 is expediently somewhat different and can be 2 to 3 m. The wall 19 and thus the discounts 1 to 18 are arranged around a green area 20, in which six target screens 21 to 26 are arranged in the example. The structure of the green area corresponds approximately to that of the green in normal golf, it rises slightly towards the rear, is planted with green grass and has undulating shapes.

Several tees are assigned to each green, so there are different striking distances. The stroke distances should be so differentiated that there is a distance for all clubs in a golf set.

The structure of the target screens can be seen in particular from FIG. Accordingly, target circles 28 are provided concentrically around the hole 27, which are marked with appropriate white color. The distance between the target circles depends on the striking distance and can be about 2.5 m for a striking distance of 100 to 30 m, up to 3.5 m for a striking distance of 220 to 160 m. The diameter of the hole 27 is expediently twice as large as the diameter in the conventional Golf, therefore 20.8 cm.

Furthermore, a putting green 30 is arranged between the tees 9 and 10, which expediently has eighteen holes. The diameter of the holes in the putting green can be the same as that of conventional golf.

The following rules can be played on a system according to the invention:
  • From the marked tees 1 to 18, two balls per player may be hit per tee. Teeing off from the ground and tea is permitted. If the ball is hit into the hole, this counts zero points, if it is between one of the concentric circles, one to five points can be achieved, if it is outside the outermost circle, six points are counted. After the game from tee 9, the balls are hit on the putting green, the number of hits achieved by the putts, over eighteen holes being added to the score achieved.

After eighteen holes played and eighteen holes putted, a score is reached and the game ends.

If you give the good golfer two points each for the target golf, i.e. playing from tees 1 to 18, and two putts per hole in putting golf, there is a total of four shots per hole, thus for eighteen holes seventy-two shots, which corresponds exactly to the scratch score in golf.

The rules of golf to be played on a course according to the invention can of course be changed somewhat, and the number of tees and also the number of greens can also be changed. It would be e.g. a facility with nine discounts and a target green possible.
