Abstract
Description
- La présente invention concerne un support de constituant liquide d'une formule lessivielle, une substance à base dudit support et d'un antimousse, ainsi que leur procédé de préparation et les formules détergentes contenant lesdites substances.
- L'emploi de compositions détergentes liquides ou solides pour le lavage des textiles naturels ou synthétiques est aujourd'hui largement répandu. Ce lavage peut être réalisé d'une manière artisanale à la main ou de manière automatique à l'aide de machines.
- Dans ce dernier cas, la présence de quantités abondantes de mousses est à éviter contrairement au lavage artisanal. En effet, la formation importante de mousses peut provoquer des débordements de la machine avec des risques pour le système électrique ou électronique.
- Aussi dépuis longtemps, on a cherché à diminuer la formation des mousses par adjonction aux systèmes détergents classiques de substances antimousses. Ces substances ainsi que tout autre constituant liquidé de formules lessivielles doivent d'une part se présenter sous une forme solide de façon à être incorporée facilement à la poudre détergente dans le cas des compositions détergentes solides. Ils doivent d'autre part présenter une stabilité satisfaisante, de façon à ce qu'après des périodes et des conditions de stockage variables, ils présentent toujours le même pouvoir.
- On peut citer de façon non limitative comme constituant liquide de formules détergentes : les antimousses, les parfums, les assouplissants textiles, les tensio-actifs de type non ionique.
- Comme agent antimousse, il a déjà été proposé d'ajouter une proportion relativement importante de savons dont la chaîne alkyle est longue (18 a 20 atomes de carbone). Ces savons présentent plusieurs inconvénients : ils doivent être utilisés en quantité importante, ils présentent un pouvoir antimoussant affaibli en eau très douce et ne sont pas polyvalents c'est-à-dire qu'ils ne présentent pas le même pouvoir antimoussant pour des compositions lessivielles riches en agents non ioniques, pour des compositions lessivielles composées essentiellement de savons ou pour des compositions lessivielles classiques.
- En effet, les substances antimousses ainsi que certains constituants liquides des formules lessivielles utilisées dans les compositions détergentes solides doivent présenter un certain nombre de caractéristiques :
- - Elles doivent être présentées à l'état pulvérulent de façon à pouvoir être incorporées à la poudre détergente après les divers traitements thermiques car les substances antimousses, les parfums, les substances non ioniques sont généralement sensibles à la température.
- - Elles doivent présenter une fonction antimousse à toutes les températures de lavage, c'est-à-dire entre environ 15 et 95°C et avec tous les types de formules détergentes.
- - L'agent ou la composition antimousse doit être stable au cours du temps au sein de la formule détergente. Il faut rappeler que la formule détergente est une formule dans la majorité des cas très alcaline et qui présente une grande avidité pour l'eau. Cette avidité pour l'eau entraîne souvent une hydrolyse des composés fragiles dont font partie les antimousses.
- Pour résoudre ces problèmes et répondre à la majorité des caractéristiques précitées, certaines solutions ont été proposées. Ainsi dans le brevet français publié sous le numéro 2.143.815 est décrit une substance réduisant la formation de mousse et comprenant un tripolyphosphate de sodium, pulvérulent ou granulaire, dont la surface porte une composition anti-mousse contenant un organopolysiloxane.
- Cette substance antimousse répond aux deux premières caractéristiques, c'est-à-dire d'une part, elle présente une fonction antimousse à toutes les températures et avec tous les types de formules, et d'autre part, elle se présente sous forme pulvérulente.
- Elle a par contre une stabilité nettement insuffisante, il est donc nécessaire d'en introduire des quantités importantes dans les formules lessivielles, ce qui d'un point de vue économique n'est pas intéressant.
- La présente invention a permis d'atteindre les caractéristiques ci-dessus décrites. Elle a pour objet un support de constituants liquides d'une formule lessivielle caractérisé en ce qu'il est constitué de'tripolyphosphate de sodium et d'un orthophosphate acide et/ou pyrophosphate acide de sodium.
- Le tripolyphosphate de sodium présente de préférence un taux de phase 1 supérieur à 50 %. Il est obtenu avantageusement par atomisation et se présente de préférence sous forme granulaire avec des particules ayant un diamètre moyen d'environ 300 µm.
- Pour un mélange plus aisé du support ainsi défini et des autres constituants de la formule lessivielle, le tripolyphosphate présente de préférence une densité comprise entre 0,3 et 0,6.
- On préfère utiliser un support constitué de tripolyphosphate de sodium et de pyrophosphate acide de sodium.

- Ce support peut être préparé selon deux techniques différentes.
- On peut mélanger à sec les solides tripolyphosphate et pyrophosphate et/ou orthophosphate acide de sodium puis pulvériser l'eau sur ce mélange ou pulvériser sur le tripolyphosphate anhydre une solution aqueuse de pyrophosphate acide et/ou d'orthophosphate acide de sodium..
- Une solution intermédiaire n'est bien sûr pas exclue, on peut ainsi pulvériser sur un mélange tripolyphosphate-pyrophosphate et/ou orthophosphate acide une solution aqueuse de pyrophosphate et/ou orthophosphate acide.
- La substance antimousse est composée du support décrit précédemment et d'une composition antimousse.
- La composition antimousse comprend généralement :
- - 100 parties d'une huile d'organopolysiloxanique de formule R3 SiO(R2 SiO)n Si R3 dans laquelle :
- R1 R2 et R3 identiques ou différents représentent un groupe choisi parmi les radicaux méthyles, éthyles, vinyles, phényles, au moins 80 % des radicaux étant des radicaux méthyles,
- . n représente un nombre entier ou fractionnaire d'une valeur suffisante pour assurer une viscosité de 20 mPa.s à 50.000 mPa.s à 25°C.
- - 0,05 à 15 parties, de préférence 0,8 à 12 parties d'une silice finement divisée dont les particules ont un diamètre moyen inférieur à 0,1 micron.
- La composition antimousse peut éventuellement contenir 0,1 à 10 parties de polymères choisis parmi :
- - les polymères organopolysiloxaniques et en particulier des huiles diorganopolysiloxaniques hydroxylées
- - les polymères constitués de motifs R3' SiO0,5 et SiO2 dans lesquels R3' à la même signification que R3
- - les copolymères formés d'une chaine diméthylpoly- siloxapique et d'au moins un bloc polyoxyalcoylénique.
- La description plus détaillée de ces différentes compositions antimousses et de leur procédé de préparation est décrit dans le brevet français publié sous le numéro 2.509.624.
- En ce qui concerne le procédé de préparation de la substance antimousse décrite précédemment, deux possibilités sont offertes. La substance antimousse peut être préparée par mélange de la composition antimousse avec le support tel que défini précédemment. Elle peut aussi être préparée par pulvérisation d'une émulsion aqueuse de la composition antimousse sur le mélange des poudres anhydres tripolyphosphate-pyrophosphate acide et/ou orthophosphate acide de sodium. On laissera de préférence mûrir ce mélange après fabrication pendant une période minimale d'environ 24 heures.
- La substance antimousse selon l'invention contient de préférence au maximum environ 15 X de composition antimousse en poids par rapport au support.
- Elle peut dans certains cas particuliers être enrobée dans une substance protectrice telle que les paraffines ou les acides gras.
- Ces substances antimousses peuvent être incluses dans tous types de formules lessivielles, notamment les formules tout savon, les formules riches en non ioniques ou les formules plus classiques.
- On peut citer comme exemple de formule classique, la formule pondérale suivante :
- - alkylarylsulfonate de sodium 8
- - non ionique formé d'alcool gras linéaire à 18 atomes de carbone éthoxylé par 12 motifs oxyde d'éthylène 3
- - non ionique formé d'alcool gras linéaire à 18 atomes de carbone éthoxylé par 50 motifs oxyde d'éthylène 2
- - tripolyphosphate de sodium 30
- - silicate de sodium (2Si02, Na20) 8
- - carboxyméthylcellulose 1,5
- - perborate 25
- - sulfate de sodium 20
- - enzyme, parfum, colorant, azurant optique 2,5 ;
- On utilise de préférence une quantité de substance antimousse telle que le rapport pondéral substance antimousse à la formule lessivielle soit compris entre 0,15 et 0,5 X et de préférence d'environ 0,3 X.

- A partir des supports précédemment proposés, on dépose la composition antimousse de formule suivante :
- - 95 parties d'huile diméthylpolysiloxane terminée à chaque extrémité par un groupe triméthylsiloxy de viscosité d'environ 1000 mPa/s à 25°C
- - 5 parties de silice de combustion de surface spécifique de 300 m2/g traitée par de l'octaméthylcyclotétrasiloxone.
- L'évaluation de l'efficacité antimousse a été effectuée sur la substance antimousse telle que préparée précédemment incorporée dans la formule lessivielle de composition pondérale suivante :
- - alkylarylsulfonate de sodium 8
- - non ionique formé d'alcool gras linéaire à 18 atomes de carbone éthoxylé par 12 motifs oxyde d'éthylène 3
- - non ionique formé d'alcool gras linéaire à 18 atomes de carbone éthoxylé par 50 motifs oxyde d'éthylène 2
- - tripolyphosphate de sodium 30
- - silicate de sodium 8
- - carboxyméthylcellulose 1,5
- - perborate 25
- - sulfate de sodium 20
- - enzyme, parfum, colorant, azurant optique 2,5
- Les tests d'efficacité antimousse (tableau II) ont été réalisés sur des substances antimousse non stockées, donc incorporées dans la formule lessivielle et immédiatement testées, sur des susbstances antimousse stockées à l'extérieur de la formule lessivielle 1 mois à 40°C puis incorporées dans la formule lessivielle et testées immédiatement et finalement sur des substances antimousse stockées à l'intérieur de la formule lessivielle pendant 1 mois à 40°C.
- Des essais similaires ont été réalisés de la même manière mais en utilisant une substance composée du support et de la composition antimousse protégée soit par de la paraffine soit par des acides gras.
- L'efficacité est mesurée par la hauteur de la mousse (tableau III) apparaissant au cours d'un cycle de lavage dans une machine ménagère à hublot frontal permettant de suivre visuellement sur une réglette les niveaux de mousse. Le programme utilisé présente une phase lavage dont la température évolue de l'ambiante à 90°C-95°C ; les lessives sont essayées à 6g/1 en présence d'une charge de linge voisine de Skg.
