Date Dec. 18, 1986.A screening apparatus of the multi-deck type. The feed inlet space of the screening machine comprises one or more distributing and segregating devices, integrated with the movement of the screening apparatus.

Description

The invention relates to a vibrating screening machine, in particular of the multi-deck design, in which a distribution and segregation device integrated into the movement of the screening machine is arranged in the inlet of the screening machine.

When sieving medium and finely dispersed materials and bulk materials, the way in which the sieved material is placed on the effective sieving surface is of crucial importance in order to achieve optimal sieving performance and separation efficiency.

In general, screening machines are fed by means of conveyors such as conveyor belts, screws, vibratory conveyors, etc. A more or less uniform distribution of the material to be screened is achieved when it enters the screening machine. As a rule, the screenings are either heaped directly onto the screen mesh, or there is a so-called baffle plate or feed plate inside the screen machine, onto which the bulk material is placed in order to protect the screen mesh from wear. The bulk material then falls from the baffle onto the screen mesh. The result of this type of loading is that the active screen area is not optimally used because certain screen areas in the inlet area are not covered with product, or the product distribution is different in the width. Often the layer height in the middle is much higher than on the sides, so that there is an overload in the middle and an underload on the side. This is also not significantly improved in a screening machine according to DE-A-34 02 861, in which two screens are arranged one above the other, the screen surfaces of which are curved upwards in the middle.

In addition, in the case of the bulk material to be screened, which generally consists of a mixture of fine and coarse-grained material, there must first be segregation of the pile on the screen fabric take place so that the fine material can be separated from the coarse material through the sieve mesh. This whole process is relatively slow and the specific sieving performance per square meter of sieving area is correspondingly low. As a result, disproportionately large screening machines are required.

The invention aims to avoid the disadvantages mentioned and to solve the problem of creating a screening machine in which the material is evenly distributed when it hits the screens and a pre-segregation is already formed, so that the screens are optimally used for their actual task can with the result that the size of the screening machines can be reduced and thus the cost can be reduced.

To solve this problem, which is based on the idea of placing the distribution and segregation process in front of the actual screening process, it is proposed according to the invention to arrange one or more distribution and segregation devices integrated in the screening machine's infeed area, i.e. to simultaneously set a distribution and segregation device in vibration with the screening machine and to use this for the process.

It has proven to be expedient to design the distribution and segregation devices as components which can be interchangeably attached to the frame of the screening machine. The frame housing is then designed so that different in the inlet area Distribution and segregation devices can be installed to adapt to the material and production properties. In addition, the product is supplied from very different directions, and it is therefore necessary to choose differently designed distribution and segregation devices. It is only important that all have the same connection dimensions on the housing and can therefore be replaced at any time like a modular system.

As a distribution and segregation device, for example, a box closed except for a filling opening and a drain opening for the goods to the screen deck can be used, the bottom of which in the entry area for the goods has a roof-shaped inclination from the center to the sides, followed by a level to the screen deck flat inclined floor area connects.

Depending on the type of product and the properties of the substance to be screened, it may be necessary to install additional distribution aids in the distribution device. Before the goods exit at the outlet opening above the floor, these can be height-adjustable distributor plates, which can be provided with sawtooth-shaped or rectangular cutouts in their lower regions.

For other products, it may be necessary to install baffles or vanes on the distribution floor, which are attached from below through the distribution floor and are adjustable. This also enables a better distribution of the product across the entire width.

Another exemplary embodiment of a distribution and segregation device can be designed as a housing provided with one or more inlet connections and an outlet opening for the material to the screen deck, in which two distribution plates are arranged above the horizontal floor plate, which are inclined outwards from the center and can be adjusted to different inclinations . This adjustability is important because the flow properties of the products are very different and so the inclination can be precisely adapted to the product.

The front edges of the distribution plates should be cut obliquely in such a way that the lateral areas are further back than the areas in the middle. This significantly improves the product distribution across the width. In order to ensure that the material is evenly thrown over these discharge edges, height-adjustable discharge plates should be provided on the front edges of the distribution plates. The joint between the distribution plates can be covered by a roof-shaped, adjustable shielding, baffle or distribution plate for the supplied material, which is attached above the adjoining edges of the two distribution plates.

Für breite Siebmaschinen ist es denkbar, zwei Verteileinrichtungen nebeneinander zu setzen, die dann praktisch zwei Einläufe erhalten.1, consists essentially of the frame housing 13 with the screen decks 14, the drive console 15 and the vibrators 16. AM inlet of the screening machine, i.e. A distribution and segregation device 11 or 12 is attached as a kit in front of the uppermost sieve tray 14, so that easy adjustment to different operating requirements is possible for the user of the sieving machine. The length of the distribution and segregation device depends on various factors, such as material properties and width of the screening machine. For wide screening machines, it is conceivable to place two distribution devices next to one another, which then have practically two inlets.

If the product leaves the distribution and segregation device and falls onto the sieve bottom, then the segregation and the distribution are complete, so that the sieving process can be accelerated enormously, ie the dwell time on the sieve As a result, screen mesh is significantly shortened and the specific output is increased.

In the distribution and segregation device 11 shown in FIG. 2, FIG. 2a shows a section through the device and FIG. 2b shows a view from above of this device, which consists of one except for a filling opening 18 and a drain opening 19 on which the goods are opened the sieve bottom is discharged, there is a closed box 17 in which a bottom part 20 is arranged between side walls, which is roof-shaped in the area of the filling opening 20a and merges into a flat, inclined part 20b towards the drain opening. Due to the roof-like bottom part, which converges to a saddle in the middle, the goods entered are immediately distributed to all sides. The vibration then transports the product towards the sieve bottom, and at the same time a stratification and segregation process takes place due to the vibration.

For further uniform distribution of the goods, a distribution plate 21, which can be adjusted in height and can be provided with recesses 29 or 30 in its lower region, as can be seen in FIG. 3, can be provided above the base 20b. Adjustable baffles or flags can also be attached to the floor 20b for the purpose of more even distribution of the goods.

There may also be an observation opening at box 17 24 can be provided, through which the uniformity of the distribution of the goods can be observed.

(Fig. 5).A different principle of distribution is used in the distribution and segregation device 12 of FIGS. 4 and 5, namely that the product is applied approximately in the middle of the connecting piece 25 of the housing 23 and first meets a roof-shaped structure 26 there for splitting into two streams which is adjustable for dividing the material flow. From here, the material falls on sheets 27 which are adjustable in inclination. (Fig. 5).

The incoming material migrates after the division through the shielding and guide plate 26 onto the plates 27 and is conveyed there by the vibration on the one hand in the direction of the screen fabric and on the other hand by the tendency towards the rare.

The oblique cuts of the sheets 27 ensure that the layer height is thrown off evenly distributed over the width over the discharge edges. With an additional attached plate 28, which is adjustable in height, the discharge edge can be designed differently, i.e. a small weir can be formed, or it can also be set at an angle and thus achieve that the discharge edge over the full width Throws material onto the underlying feed plate 29, which now initiates yet another segregation process. From there it finally flows onto the screen mesh.

Of course, the inlet connection 25 can also be designed differently and can also be arranged somewhat off-center, if this becomes necessary due to the installation situation.
