Abstract
Description
The invention relates to insert bodies for concrete formwork, i.e. on insert bodies to be arranged and concreted in concrete formwork, in particular made of plastic, such as, in particular, spacers for reinforcements, spacing elements, spreaders, pipes, cover strips, fastening parts and the like, primarily in the form of extruded profiles.
When erecting concrete formwork, various other bodies are provided inside the formwork in addition to reinforcement, which remain in the concrete after pouring. These are primarily spacers for reinforcements, be it for vertical reinforcements, mats and the like. The spacers can have different shapes, which often vary depending on the location of the attachment or the respective Judge purpose. Elongated spacers are particularly advantageous, particularly in the form of strip-like hollow profiles which are open at the bottom, as can be seen, for example, from DE-GM 77 30 442 and DE-GM 82 24 733.
In addition to spacers, there are numerous other bodies that are installed in a formwork before concreting, e.g. Spacer bars for aligning and attaching formwork parts, spacer brackets for similar purposes, tubular elements that are used in connection with tensioning devices for concrete formwork and other elements used in the construction and cohesion of formwork parts.
In the vast majority of all cases, such parts of the most varied types, which are to be dealt with generally here under the term insert bodies, are made of plastic. In addition, other materials, e.g. made of concrete or asbestos, known insert bodies, such as spacers for reinforcing bars.
In all cases, a problem is seen in the fact that the best possible connection is established between the insert body in question and the concrete to be cast. Difficulties can arise particularly with smooth plastic parts, but also with spacers or the like made from other materials.
The object of the invention is to show a way to improve the liability relationships between insert bodies to be arranged in a formwork and the concrete and to create a connection which particularly meets the requirements existing in this regard. It continues to be high Tightness thought. The invention is basically directed to all insert bodies in which such a connection is important. Such parts are mentioned above in an incomplete list. The invention strives for an advantageous result, particularly in the case of insert bodies made of plastic, in particular those of elongated shape, such as are produced primarily by extrusion. All other related problems with which the invention is concerned result from the respective explanation of the indicated solution.
The invention provides that the insert body is provided at least on part of its surface with a coating which promotes the connection between it and the concrete surrounding it.
In contrast to known measures, such as profiling and mechanical roughening on the surface of a spacer or similar element, the invention takes a different approach, which offers the possibility of a particularly intensive connection between the two elements, i.e. the insert body, which is primarily made of plastic, on the one hand and the Concrete, on the other hand, offers. For this purpose, in the sense of the invention there is, as it were, an intermediate member with the coating, which mediates the firm connection. The desired cohesion can be achieved by mechanical and / or chemical effects, in particular those which result from macromolecular substances. There are various design options.
In an important version, a plastic cover is provided as the coating. In particular, a plastic comes into consideration, which can interact with the material of the insert body on its surface and it then forms, as it were, a new surface of the insert body, which in turn now has particularly good connection properties for the concrete. This can include also be caused by the mechanical nature of the applied material, namely by a certain porosity of the same. A plastic for such a coating should be understood to mean both chemical conversion of natural products and fully synthetic materials. A polyurethane system is particularly advantageous for a coating, if necessary also as a two-component system. Furthermore, a material based on terephthalic acid is also suitable for the cover. There are also other options.
In a further embodiment, the plastic cover can contain an additional material that is not plastic, but in turn also contributes to an intensive connection with the concrete. A material that is related to the concrete or its components, in particular a sand or a cement, is particularly suitable for this. Such substances are particularly stored in granular form.
Another embodiment consists in that a granular or powdery material is provided as the coating or an integral part of the same, in which case sand and / or cement are particularly suitable. The granular material forms a meshing engagement with the concrete and thus a firm bond.
The deposition of such a material on the insert body can be achieved in various ways. It may be advantageous to partially embed the coating material in the insert body. The deposition of the coating material on the insert body or the embedding therein can be done, in particular, by pressing in, among other things. expedient if the insert body is to a certain extent soft or deformable on its surface, which can be the case after the production or through subsequent heating.
In a further embodiment, the drying residue of a material applied in liquid form is provided as a coating or as an integral part thereof. The term liquid form should also include a spreadable or similar consistency. In particular, a so-called slurry can be considered for such a type of coating, for example in the sense of a slurry of cement or a similar material. The accumulation remaining on the insert after drying or evaporation of an application medium also results in a favorable connection with the concrete here.
The above-mentioned different types of coatings or coatings forming such can be attached directly or, according to further embodiments, by means of an adhesive to the insert body or can be firmly connected to it. This basically applies to all coating materials.
Various adhesives can be considered as adhesives, primarily plastic or synthetic resin adhesives. The adhesive can in particular also be one that can be activated by contact with the coating material and / or with the concrete. Depending on the type of adhesive, such activation can be caused by heat, for example by the heat generated when concrete sets, and / or by contact with another substance that is part of a coating material or concrete, such as water.
A favorable process for the production of insert bodies with a coating consists in that the coating or a substance forming part of such a substance in the form of a solution, a dispersion, a paste or the like. applied to the insert body previously finished in its outer shape and the application is dried, solidified or hardened.
The above applies both to the case of a coating consisting of a suitable plastic, with or without other substances contained therein, as well as to designs in which part of the coating is initially formed by applying an adhesive to the further material is applied.
A plastic or an adhesive is applied in particular by brushing on, spraying on or by dipping. If it is a coating that contains granular or powdery material, the latter can be applied to the insert body together with an adhesive or, in particular, after an adhesive application.
The application of solid coating material to the insert body provided with an adhesive takes place particularly advantageously by immersing or passing through direct the insert body through a supply of coating material, in particular using a fluidized bed or the like. The granular or powdery material can also be applied by inflating the same onto the insert body provided with an adhesive.
Regardless of the details of the coating and its attachment to the insert body, a particularly advantageous method of manufacture is that at least part of the coating is applied continuously to the insert body or bodies.

The insert body K shown in FIG. 1 is a spacer 1 in the form of a strip-like profile part with a
In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, a granular material alone is present as a coating, in particular in the form of grains of sand 8, which are embedded in the surface of the insert body K over part of its height by being pushed in or by rolling it into the surface thereof. The embedding advantageously takes place in a state of the insert body in which its surface is to a certain extent soft or deformable. This state can still result from a previous production or shaping process or can be caused subsequently by the action of heat or by chemical action, for example in the form of dissolving. Accumulation and partial embedding of granular or powdery material can also be done using an adhesive.

In Fig. 5, an embodiment is shown in which the insert body K or the like on its exposed surface with an
In the embodiment according to FIG. 6, a
Vielmehr gibt es zahlreiche weitere Einsatzkörper, die von der Erfindung in dem erläuterten Sinne umfaßt werden.7 to 11 show further examples of insert bodies which come into consideration as the subject of the invention. However, this is not to be understood as restrictive. Rather, there are numerous other insert bodies which are encompassed by the invention in the sense explained.
In Fig. 7, an insert body K is shown in the form of a wheel-shaped spacer 12 with a central passage for a vertical reinforcing bar S. A
In all such insert bodies, coatings of the type explained above can be present according to the invention, be it on the entire surface or only on a part thereof.
An example of a method sequence is shown schematically in FIG. A profile material P, for example with a cross section as in the spacer shown in FIG. 1, which can be made of plastic by extrusion and can be cut to greater lengths, is continuously passed through a coating device V. The arrows Z indicate the supply of coating material. The material M provided with the
The design of the coating device, which can consist of one or more stations, depends on the particular circumstances.
Depending on its type and the other circumstances and requirements, the coating can be applied after the production or shaping of the insert bodies or a preliminary product for them, or else independently, i.e. separately. Is it an insert body that is not an elongated, e.g. have strip-shaped or tubular shape, but are made as individual elements, so coating can also be carried out in a continuous continuous process, the insert bodies then being able to be moved through a coating device by means of a transport member.
All of the features mentioned in the above description or shown in the drawing, if the known prior art permits, should be regarded as falling within the scope of the invention on their own or in combinations.
