Abstract
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum Biegen länglicher Werkstücke, insbesonde re Rohre, durch Aufbringen eines Biegemoments auf das Werkstück unter induktivem Erhitzen einer Querschnittszone des Werkstücks mit ungleichmäßiger Temperaturverteilung längs des Umfangs dieser Querschnittszone mittels einer das Werkstück umgebenden Induktionsschleife und unter Abkühlen des Werkstücks in mindestens einer Nachbarzone. Nach dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren ist vorgesehen, daß innerhalb eines auf relative niedrige Temperaturen einzustellenden Teilbereichs des Umfangs des zu beigenden Werkstücks der elektrische Strom der Induktionsschleife in mehrere Teilströme verzweight wird, von denen mindestens einer vornehmlich auf die zu erhitzende Querschnittszine und mindestens ein anderer vornehmlich auf eine Nachbar zone des Werkstücks induktiv zur Einwirkung gebracht wird, und daß die induktive Erhitzung der jeweiligen Nachbarzone durch Abkühlen teilweise oder ganz aufgehoben wird. Die Verzweigung kann vorrichtungsmäßig durch eine die Induk tionsschleife (11) verzweigende Bypassleitung (15) realisiert werden.
