Hot glue gun for melting and discharging a meltable adhesive (3), with a hot air blower (6) for heating the adhesive point, the hot air flow simultaneously serving as a heat source for the adhesive to be melted.
Description
The present invention relates to hot glue guns for melting and discharging a meltable adhesive, with a guide channel for the adhesive to be melted and a discharge nozzle at one end of the guide channel, and with a heating device for melting the adhesive.
In the hot glue guns of this type known from practice, electrical heating devices in the form of heating cartridges are used, which lie parallel to the guide channel in the gun body. Although hot glue guns of this type work satisfactorily for many applications, it is disadvantageous in some cases that the material to be glued is only heated by the glue itself. In particular in the case of a product to be bonded which has a high thermal capacity and / or high thermal conductivity, the adhesive solidifies rapidly and optimal bonding is not achieved.
It is an object of the present invention to further develop a hot-melt glue gun of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that, with easy handling by one person, adhesive bonds with higher strength can be produced.
This object is achieved with the characterizing features of claim 1.
The usual handling of the hot glue gun not only applies the melted glue to the surfaces to be glued, but at the same time a hot air flow is directed onto the surfaces to be glued by means of the hot air blower. This heats them up so that the molten adhesive solidifies less quickly, leaving sufficient time for wetting the surfaces to be bonded. In addition, by means of the heat transfer device, the amount of heat required for melting the adhesive is taken from the hot air flow of the hot air blower and transferred to the guide channel. It therefore also contains the previously used heating device for the adhesive.
Advantageously, the hot air blower is detachably attached to the hot glue gun, which not only makes it easier to replace it in the event of a repair than with the guns known in the prior art, but also, if desired, the hot air blower can be used independently of the hot glue gun.
In a preferred development, the hot air blower is preferably releasably attached to the outside of the hot glue gun by means of a dovetail guide. For a balanced weight distribution for better handling of the hot glue gun, it is favorable to arrange the dovetail groove and tongue in the end area of the hot glue gun opposite the discharge nozzle or in the middle longitudinal area of the hot air blower. Here, the dovetail groove or tongue is preferably arranged on the top of the hot glue gun opposite the handle of the hot glue gun.
To achieve a secure fit, the dovetail guide can be designed with a width that decreases in the direction of the discharge nozzle and the mouth end.
Der Winkel beträgt etwa zwischen 5 0 und 30 °.According to a development of the invention, the axes of the discharge nozzle of the guide channel and the mouth end of the hot air blower are inclined at an acute angle to one another. The angle is approximately between 5 0 and 30 °.
It is advantageous to arrange the heat transfer device in the region of the mouth end of the hot air blower. A particularly simple and effective heat transfer results when the heat transfer device projects into the hot air area with a lamella arrangement. The lamella arrangement advantageously has essentially parallel lamellae. The slats can also be arranged crosswise or lattice-shaped. An arrangement of the fins such that they extend essentially in the longitudinal direction of the hot air region is particularly favorable. Of course, it is also possible to arrange the slats transversely so that they are the same. take over the function of a baffle plate in good time.
According to a development of the invention, the lamella arrangement is surrounded by a sleeve element which receives the mouth end of the hot air blower.
A particularly intensive heat transfer results when the heat transfer device is formed in one piece with the guide channel and / or the discharge nozzle.
In order to change the temperature of the adhesive in the guide channel, it is advantageous to design the lamella arrangement so that it can be swung out completely or partially from the hot air area. In this context, it is also favorable to design the entire heat transfer device or the lamella arrangement to be interchangeable.
The heat transfer device is preferably also designed to support the hot air blower.

- An
