Abstract

1. Static diagnostic apparatus for the ignition system of a motor vehicle, of a type consisting essentially of a spark detector (3), a voltage raising coil (4), a spark distributor (5) and an electronic ignition module (2) ; the apparatus (1) being suitable for detecting and indicating defects such as a break in the conducting electricity in the electrical system of the ignition device and having visual means of indicating the good or faulty state of the different constitutive elements of the ignition system, characterized in that it has suitable means (20) and (30) to assure its insertion, without modification, in the existing electrical circuit of the ignition system.

Description

La présente invention concerne un appareil de diagnostic statique pour dispositif d'allumage, notamment dans un véhicule automobile, constitué essentiellement d'un distributeur d'allumage qui comporte un capteur dont les signaux sont amplifiés par un module électronique pour commander l'état d'une bobine élévatrice de tension. Avec l'augmentation rapide de l'emploi de l'électronique dans les véhicules automobiles et notamment dans leur dispositif d'allumage, est née une difficulté de localisation de défauts éventuels dans le réseau électrique dudit dispositif d'allumage. Des appareils de diagnostic sont donc apparus sur le marché, certains très sophis- . tiqués et conséquemment d'un prix de revient élevé qui apportent des renseignements superflus dans le cas d'un contrôle rapide et d'autres qui nécessitent une attention particulière du manipulateur lors du contrôle pour le branchement de l'appareil sur les éléments a contrôler devant la nécessité de changer le branchement suivant l'élément contrôlé ; de plus ces appareils existants peuvent engendrer la destruction d'éléments en parfait état suite à l'absence de moyens appropriés à la recherche d'un défaut éventuel. La présente invention a pour but de remédier à ces inconvénients et concerne à cet effet un appareil de diagnostic statique pour dispositif d'allumage de véhicule automobile du type constitué essentiellement d'un capteur d'allumage,d'une bobine élévatrice de tension, d'un distributeur d'allumage et d'un module électronique d'allumage, appareil apte à définir et signaler des défauts tels que coupure de fil conducteur d'électricité dans le réseau électrique du dispositif d'allumage et caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte des moyens aptes à assurer son insertion, sans le modifier, dans le réseau électrique existant du dispositif d'allumage et des moyens visuels de signalisation de bon ou mauvais état des différents éléments constitutifs du dispositif d'allumage.The present invention relates to a static diagnostic device for an ignition device, in particular in a motor vehicle, essentially consisting of an ignition distributor which comprises a sensor whose signals are amplified by an electronic module to control the state of a voltage raising coil.
