Description

The innovation relates to a single-sided corrugated cardboard machine with an upper and a lower corrugating roller, a press roller assigned to the lower corrugating roller, a suction box which extends essentially over the width of the lower corrugating roller and is connected to a vacuum source and is arranged on the side of the lower corrugating roller , which is not covered by the corrugated sheet, and which generates a negative pressure in annular suction grooves of the lower corrugating roller, and sealing plates which engage in the suction grooves on the side of the suction box facing the pressing roller.

Such a one-sided corrugated cardboard machine is known (DE-PS 2 840 150). The sealing plates are connected on both sides to the suction box and engage in the suction groove. However, such a construction has a number of disadvantages.

Suction box or hood with the sealing plate cover the entire assigned peripheral area of the lower corrugated roller. It is therefore completely inaccessible from the outside.

As is known, a corrugated roller is subject to changes in length due to thermal expansion. The sealing plates should, if possible, take part in these thermal expansions, otherwise there is a risk that they will rub or be bent on the groove walls. That is why it is also known to heat the suction box with steam so that it also carries out the thermal expansion. In addition to the disadvantage of the additional effort for this, it has been shown that, despite the heating, adequate adaptation to the thermal expansion of the corrugated roller is not achieved, particularly during the heating phase.

The innovation is based on the object in a one-sided corrugated cardboard machine containing a suction box to design it so that, for example, in the event of malfunctions, access to the lower corrugating roll or to the gap between the suction box to the lower corrugating roll is possible.

According to the innovation, this object is achieved in that a supporting beam for the sealing plates is held in the machine frame, which is arranged separately from the suction box and the suction box can be adjusted over a long distance with the aid of an adjusting device.

In the corrugated cardboard machine according to the innovation, the sealing plates are held by a supporting part which is held separately from the suction box in the machine frame. The suction box, which covers a considerable part of the circumference of the corrugating roller, can therefore be removed far enough from the corrugating roller to allow good access to the corrugating roller.

The support beam for the sealing plates is preferably also adjustable, but only over a limited distance in such a way that the sealing plates remain in the suction grooves. Such an adjustment is necessary, for example, to prevent striking during the so-called thermal shock (different radial expansion due to condensation water).

DieIn one embodiment of the innovation, it is provided that the suction box interacts with the supporting beam via a stop such that when the suction box is adjusted in the direction of the lower corrugating roller, the supporting beam is carried against a spring force and the supporting beam is lifted from the lower corrugating roller over a limited distance when the suction box is moved away from the lower corrugating roller in such a way that the sealing plates still remain in the suction grooves. The

Movement of the support beam therefore takes place between two stops, the upper stop being such that the sealing plates are still seated in the suction grooves. The other stop limits the depth of the sealing plates in the suction grooves.

In a further embodiment of the innovation it is provided that the sealing plates are arranged in the supporting beam so as to be displaceable along an axis parallel to the corrugating roller axis. In this way, the sealing plates thermal expansion ser lower corrugating roller and thus a displacement of the suction groove can easily follow.

For the purpose of simple installation and removal of the sealing plates, a further embodiment of the innovation provides that the sealing plates have a hook-like upper section which engages in a complementary section of the supporting beam, and on the supporting beam a continuous rail or several rail sections from above the movement of the sealing plates in the direction limit from the suction grooves. By adjusting the rail or the rail sections, the sealing plates can easily be hung in the supporting beam. The replacement of individual sealing plates, which are wearing parts, is therefore particularly easy to do.

An embodiment of the innovation is explained in more detail below with reference to a drawing.

The single figure shows schematically a side view of a single-sided corrugated cardboard machine according to the innovation. Before going into the details shown in the drawings, it should be assumed that each of the parts described are of essential importance for innovation either individually or in conjunction with features of the claims.

The drawing is extremely schematic and not to scale. In particular, the supporting beams and baffles are drawn in a greatly enlarged manner in relation to the actual size.

On the side of the lower corrugating roller 11, which does not interact with the corrugated web 13, there is a suction box 14

The suction box 14 is adapted on its side facing the corrugated roller 11 1 whose curvature. The corrugated roller 11 has some annular suction grooves 16 at axial intervals. The vacuum in the suction box 14 is transmitted to the opposite side via the suction grooves 16 in order to hold the corrugated web on the corrugated roller 11.

A support bar 17 for sealing plates 18 extends parallel to the suction box 14 and approximately over the length of the lower corrugating roller 11. Each suction groove 16 is assigned a sealing plate 18, which fill the suction grooves 16 with a section 19. The sealing plates 18 have a wiper function. They also prevent the vacuum from being equalized. However, you keep a distance from the bottom of the groove to leave a continuous channel in the suction grooves. The sealing plates 18 have an upper hook-shaped section 20 which interacts with a hook-shaped section 21 at the lower end of the supporting beam 17. It can be seen that the sealing plates 13 are displaceable relative to the supporting beam 17. This displacement enables adaptation to different thermal expansions of the lower corrugating roller 11. In the cross section 22 of the supporting beam 17 at the upper end there is one or more adjusting screws 23 which cooperate with a rail 24 which represents an upper limit for the hook-shaped section 20 of the sealing plates 18. In the position shown in the drawing, the sealing plates 18 are securely received in the supporting beam 17, but can perform the lateral movement described.

The suction box 14 has on the side facing the support beam 17 a side stop 25 which, as shown at 26, cooperates sealingly with an extension 27 of the support beam 17. On the underside hook-like section 21 or hook-like section 27 are adapted to the curvature of the corrugated roller 11. As can be seen, there is sufficient sealing.

The suction box 13 can be moved away from the corrugating roller 11 with the aid of an adjusting device (not shown) or can be adjusted thereon. A position at a distance from the corrugating roller 11 is indicated by the dashed line 28. The support beam 17 is acted upon by a tension spring 29 in the direction away from the corrugating roller 11. Thus, if the suction box 14 is moved away from the corrugated roller, the support beam 17 also moves away from the corrugated roller. However, this only up to a stop, not shown, which ensures that the sealing plates 18 do not get out of the suction grooves 16. If the suction box 14 is moved back again, it takes the supporting beam 17 into the position shown in the figure on the last path. It goes without saying that a stop can also cooperate with the supporting beam 17 in this respect.

It can be seen that an easy access to the corrugating roller 11 is provided by lifting the suction box 14.
