B. in der Kartondeckelstation der Verpackungsmaschine, der Kartondeckel 2 eingesetzt. Der den Kartondeckel 2 übergreifende Randlappen 3 des Außenmantels 1 wird z. B. in der Bördelstation aus der gestrichelt dargestellten Lage unter Bildung des Versteifungswulstes 4 und der Falten 5 auf den Kartondeckel 2 gebördelt. Durch den Druck und Wärme aktiviert ergibt die auf der Innenseite des Randiappens 3 angeordnete Siegelschicht 6 eine feste Verbindung mit dem Kartondeckel 2. Die Heißversiegelung kann z. B. in einer nach der Kartondeckel- und Bördelstation angeordneten Heißsiegelstation durch beheizte Druckstempel erfolgen.
