Abstract

A one-part plastic snap hinge has two hinge parts connected to one another by means of a main joint (6'). At least one resilient connection piece (8), for example in the form of a tension spring, is connected at its two ends to the two hinge parts by means of secondary joints (10', 12'). The secondary joints are each at a distance from the main joint (6') transversely in relation to the joint axes. Claims (3)

1. Einteiliges Schnappscharnier aus Kunststoff mit folgenden Merkmalen: a) Zwei Scharnierteile sind durch ein Hauptgelenk miteinander verbunden; b) mindestens ein federndes Verbindungsstück ist an seinen beiden Enden durch Nebengelenke mit beiden Scharnierteilen verbunden; c) die Nebengelenke haben quer zu den Gelenkachsen je einen Abstand vom Hauptgelenk; d) derart, daß die Scharnierteile die Tendenz haben, aus einer Stellung labilen Gleichgewichts, die sich innerhalb ihres Schwenkbereichs befindet, in die eine oder andere Endstellung zu schnappen,
gekennzeichnet durch folgende Merkmale:
e) Das Schnappscharnier besteht aus Polyäthylen niedriger Dichte (LDPE); f) die Hauptgelenke (6') sind als Bänder (16) des Kunststoffmaterials ausgebildet, wobei die Länge jedes Bandes größer ist als dessen Dicke.
