Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for warming and drying shoes, consisting of a tension body adapted to the interior of the shoe, in which an electrical resistance heater is arranged, and at the rear end of which a resilient tensioning bracket is fastened for support in the heel area of the shoe, in which in the End of the tension bracket supporting the heel area is provided with an opening for the passage of an electrical cable for the resistance heating.
- a device of the type mentioned above is known from BE-A-664 482.
- the electrical cable is passed through the clamping bracket, which is firmly connected to the clamping body, to the electrical resistance heater.
- the electrical resistance heater is fixed in the clamping body.
- the invention is based on the object of creating a device of the type mentioned at the outset which can be produced easily and economically and in particular has a high safety standard.
- clamping bracket is fastened to the clamping body by a joint, that in the end of the clamping bracket which is supported in the heel region, a slot is provided for inserting the resistance heater, and that the clamping bracket and the clamping body in the region of the joint are provided by a Snap connection are connected, which is secured against solution by the electrical resistance heating.
- the articulated connection between the clamping bracket and the clamping body ensures that there are no undesirable forces and moments in this area which could cause the two parts to break here.
- Such a joint also enables the snap connection to be formed, which, together with the pluggability of the resistance heater, permits rapid assembly. Not only is the cable passed through the opening in the tensioning bracket, but the resistance heater can also be pushed through here for easy installation. Once the individual components have been assembled, the resistance heater secures the snap connection between the clamping bracket and clamping body to prevent unwanted loosening.
- the device is advantageously designed in such a way that the snap connection on the tensioning body has a resilient tab which bears against the tensioning bracket and carries a projection which is supported on the electrical resistance heater.
- This training represents a particularly useful embodiment of securing the snap connection by the electrical resistance heater.
- the opening for the passage of the electrical cable for the resistance heater is designed as a slot and has a self-locking feature which prevents a relative movement between the cable and the clamping bracket when pulling outward. This ensures that when the cable is pulled by a user of the device there is no damage and possibly a short circuit caused thereby.
- the device shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 consists of a clamping body which is adapted to the shape of the inside of the shoe and is provided with ribs or passages 2.
- this clamping body 1 there is an electrical resistance heater, which is otherwise not visible in the drawing.
- An electrical cable 6 leads to this resistance heater.
- a clamping bracket 3 is fastened at 4, which is designed to be resilient. At 4 the clamp is articulated.
- an opening 8 is provided for the passage of the electrical cable 6. Furthermore, a slot 7 is formed below the opening 8, through which the electrical resistance heater can be inserted. Opening 8 and slot 7 are interconnected by a small slot through which the cable can be pressed into the opening 8 when the electrical resistance heater is inserted. Electrical resistance heating and cables are manufactured together and delivered as a unit. For assembly, the resistance heater is then inserted through the slot 7 and fastened in the clamping body 1 at the intended location. The cable is pressed into the opening 8.
- the tensioning bracket can be folded up so that it remains ineffective and only serves to guide the cable.
- a cassette 9 is used to hold two shoe dryers.
- the clamping bracket 3 can be swiveled up and down in the region of the joint 4 and at the same time is designed to be resilient.
- the joint 4 has webs 15 and a tab 18, which form two slots 17 which end in approximately circular openings 16. The area of the slots 17 immediately in front of the openings 16 is narrower. At the bottom of the tab 18, a projection 19 is provided.
- the clamping bracket 3 has two laterally projecting pins on the left and right, which can be inserted into a slot 17 and pushed through the constriction with a little effort, the tab 18 moving resiliently downward. The pins then snap into the two openings 16 and the clamping bracket can be easily swung up and down. If the electrical resistance heater 13 is now mounted, its upper side rests on the projection 19 and the tab 18 can no longer be moved resiliently downward. Pulling out of the tensioning bracket is reliably prevented since the pins can no longer move out of the openings 16. In this way, on the one hand, easy assembly of the simply designed clamping bracket is possible and, on the other hand, when the cable 6 is pulled, the articulated connection is prevented from being released again in an undesirable manner.
- a slot 11 corresponds to the opening 8 of the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2. It is only slightly displaced in the direction of the clamping body 1.
- the cable 6 is passed through this slot.
- the slot is provided with a self-locking device 10, which prevents the cable 6 from being pulled outwards when it is pulled, that is, relative to the tensioning bracket 3. H. the cable section between the clamping bracket and resistance heating is not shortened. In the other direction, the self-locking is not effective, so that the cable can be easily installed and adjusted. If the cable 6 is pulled, the self-locking has the consequence that the tensioning bracket is first released from the heel area of the shoe. If, then, which is undesirable in itself, the cable is pulled further, the entire device moves out of the shoe. Even by this undesirable pulling on the cable, the device is not damaged, however, since the self-locking and the adjustment of the cable length ensure that there is sufficient cable length between the resistance heater 13 and tensioning bracket 3.
- the fuses in the area of the joint 4 and the slot 11 work together to prevent damage when pulling the cable 6, for example when the device is arranged in high boots and the user is not willing to release the device, in the boot to grasp, but to pull on the cable.

Description
The invention relates to a device for warming and drying shoes, consisting of a tension body adapted to the interior of the shoe, in which an electrical resistance heater is arranged, and at the rear end of which a resilient tensioning bracket is fastened for support in the heel area of the shoe, in which in the End of the tension bracket supporting the heel area is provided with an opening for the passage of an electrical cable for the resistance heating.
A device of the type mentioned above is known from BE-A-664 482. In this known device, the electrical cable is passed through the clamping bracket, which is firmly connected to the clamping body, to the electrical resistance heater. The electrical resistance heater is fixed in the clamping body.
The invention is based on the object of creating a device of the type mentioned at the outset which can be produced easily and economically and in particular has a high safety standard.
This object is achieved in that the clamping bracket is fastened to the clamping body by a joint, that in the end of the clamping bracket which is supported in the heel region, a slot is provided for inserting the resistance heater, and that the clamping bracket and the clamping body in the region of the joint are provided by a Snap connection are connected, which is secured against solution by the electrical resistance heating.
The articulated connection between the clamping bracket and the clamping body ensures that there are no undesirable forces and moments in this area which could cause the two parts to break here. Such a joint also enables the snap connection to be formed, which, together with the pluggability of the resistance heater, permits rapid assembly. Not only is the cable passed through the opening in the tensioning bracket, but the resistance heater can also be pushed through here for easy installation. Once the individual components have been assembled, the resistance heater secures the snap connection between the clamping bracket and clamping body to prevent unwanted loosening.
The device is advantageously designed in such a way that the snap connection on the tensioning body has a resilient tab which bears against the tensioning bracket and carries a projection which is supported on the electrical resistance heater. This training represents a particularly useful embodiment of securing the snap connection by the electrical resistance heater.
Finally, it is still possible to design the device in such a way that the opening for the passage of the electrical cable for the resistance heater is designed as a slot and has a self-locking feature which prevents a relative movement between the cable and the clamping bracket when pulling outward. This ensures that when the cable is pulled by a user of the device there is no damage and possibly a short circuit caused thereby.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing using two exemplary embodiments.
Es zeigt :

- Fig. 2 eine perspektivische Ansicht von zwei Vorrichtungen der Ausführungsform nach Fig. 1 nebeneinander von hinten, und zwar zusammen in einer Kassette ;
- Figure 1 is a perspective view of an embodiment of a device according to the invention.
- Fig. 2 is a perspective view of two devices of the embodiment of Figure 1 side by side from behind, and together in a cassette.
- Fig. 3 is a partially sectioned side view through an embodiment, which is changed in details; and
- 4 shows a perspective detail of the articulated connection of the embodiment according to FIG. 3.
Zu dieser Widerstandsheizung führt ein elektrisches Kabel 6.The device shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 consists of a clamping body which is adapted to the shape of the inside of the shoe and is provided with ribs or
At the rear end of the clamping body 1, a
In the rear, downward
If a shoe is to be heated or dried, the device is pressed into the shoe and the
For certain shoes where tension is not desired or not possible, the tensioning bracket can be folded up so that it remains ineffective and only serves to guide the cable.
Unten an der Lasche 18 ist ein Vorsprung 19 vorgesehen.3 and 4, the design of the
The
The fuses in the area of the
