Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for transferring needle stitches in flat knitting machines, in particular when the knitwear width is reduced or increased.
The object of the invention is to provide a stitch transfer device of this type, which requires no readjustment after the change of the stitch width = width with reduction or increase and without any special adjustment any number of arbitrarily lying needle loops, in particular also two different distances from the center of the needle bed the needling stitches. In this case, the stitch-transfer device according to the invention should have a particularly simple construction and a safe mode of operation.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that, compared to at least one needle bed of the flat knitting machine, two longitudinally aligned, ie to the needle, aligned with one another Bed parallel, at most each over about half the length of the needle bed neck combs are arranged with neck fingers protruding against the needle bed, the number and the division of the neck fingers the number and the division of most or all of the needles to be involved in a stitching of the be = meet the corresponding longitudinal half of the needle bed and the two neck combs can be moved back and forth independently of one another in their longitudinal direction and can be pivoted up and down together about a pivot axis parallel to the needle bed and movable transversely to and from the needle bed.
With the device according to the invention, it is thus possible to adjust the two neck combs in their swung-out and retracted starting position by longitudinal displacements with their cap fingers, independent of one another, with their cap fingers relative to the needles, the stitches of which are to be transferred and which are raised accordingly in stitches = dispensing position . The longitudinal displacement of the neck combs during this adjustment movement is very limited, since the number and the division of the neck fingers correspond to the number and the division of most or all of the needles that are ever to be involved in a stitch covering and therefore a neck finger always exists at least in the vicinity of each such needle of the assigned neck comb be = found. In addition, since the two neck combs are displaceable in their longitudinal direction independently of one another, they can be selected with their neck fingers as desired for the stitching and accordingly in Stitch delivery position raised needles are set, even if they are asymmetrical to the center of the needle bed.
The two, swung-over neck combs are then advanced together in the direction of the needle bed, their neck fingers, which lie opposite the needles raised in the stitch-dispensing position, reaching through the loops carried by these needles. The raised needles are then lowered and thereby transfer their stitches to the neck fingers. The two neck combs are then swiveled up, thereby lifted out of the needle bed and then adjusted with their stitch-carrying neck fingers with respect to the needles which are still lowered and which are supposed to take up the neck-and-loop stitches. The neck combs are then pivoted away and advanced towards the needle bed so far that the stitches they carry come to lie in the path of movement of the needles intended to take up the stitches. Then these needles are driven out and remove the stitches from the shoulder fingers. The swung neck combs are then pulled back from the needle bed into their starting position, in which a new stitching can be initiated.
The movements of the neck combs of the mesh neck device according to the invention can be achieved with the aid of any guide and drive means. An embodiment with a particularly simple structure and trouble-free mode of operation can be achieved in a further development of the inventive idea by the two capes Combs are slidably mounted in their longitudinal direction in a common slide which is movable transversely to the capes from and to the needle bed and is supported by a guide which extends over the length of the needle bed and which is pivotable up and down about a pivot axis parallel to the needle bed. It is particularly advantageous to move the two longitudinally displaceable neck combs, the slide that can be moved transversely to and from the needle bed and the guide that can be pivoted up and down parallel to the needle bed with the aid of assigned cam mechanisms, as these move more easily and more precisely onto one another and onto the other movements of the Knitting machine can be matched.
The two neck combs with their neck fingers projecting against the needle bed can also be of any design. However, a design according to the invention has proven to be particularly advantageous in which each shoulder finger consists of two finger halves lying vertically next to one another and punched out of sheet metal material and which are releasably clamped between the strips forming the comb body with their rear ends facing away from the needle bed.

In the drawing, FA and FP are the two needle beds of a two-contour flat knitting machine which are inclined towards each other in a roof shape and with the associated latch needles AT1 and AT2. In this flat knitting machine, reductions and increases in a manner known per se can only be achieved by moving the needle stitches of one e.g. of the rear needle bed FP, regardless of whether the knitted fabric is produced with the aid of a single needle bed or with the aid of the two needle beds FA, FP.
The stitch transfer device according to the invention used in the exemplary embodiment shown as a reducing and increasing device is arranged, for example, over the front needle bed FA and interacts with the opposite, ie rear, needle bed FP. The stitch cape = direction has an approximately C-
In the
The number and the division of the transfer fingers P of each
In the illustrated embodiment, each
One finger half P1 of each shoulder finger P is made of thicker sheet metal than the other finger half P2 and has a
At the beginning of a reduction process, the needles AT2 lying in the needle bed FP, from which the stitches to be transferred are to be removed, are raised into the transfer position shown in FIG. Die Kurvenscheiben 6, 20 und die Kurventrommel 23 weisen ein solches Steuerprofil auf und sind derart winkel= mässig aufeinander abgestimmt, dass sich folgender Bewe= gungsablauf ergibt:
- First, the
carriage 8 is still abge = pivotedguide 1 advanced in the direction of the needle bed FP (arrow direction F1 in FIG. 4), the shoulder fingers P lying opposite the raised needles AT2 engaging in the stitches B held by these needles, as shown in full lines in FIG. 4. The raised needles AT2 are then lowered (arrow = direction F2 in Fig. 4) and thereby transfer their stitches B to the associated neck finger P. Theguide 1 is then pivoted up together with thecarriage 8 and the two capes =comb 9, 9 ' , as shown in dot-dash lines in FIG. 4. As a result, the neck fingers P are lifted from the upper ends of the two needle beds FA, FB, come to rest freely over the needle beds FA, FB and, as a result, allow an unimpeded longitudinal displacement of the two neck combs 9, 9 ', as shown in the position shown in broken lines in FIG 4 clearly shows.
The two neck combs 9 and 9 'are then displaced independently of one another in their longitudinal direction, for example in opposite directions towards one another, ie inwards when decreasing or away from each other, ie outwards when increasing, to the extent that the stitch-bearing cloaks = finger P compared to those which are still lowered Set the needles AT2 'to which the stitches B to be transferred are to be transferred. The
The invention is of course not limited to the embodiment shown and described. For example, in the case of two-contour flat knitting machines, both needle beds can each have a stitch cape according to the invention direction can be assigned. Instead of cam drives, electromechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic drive means can also be provided for the drive. The inventive mesh wrap not only needs to be used as a reducing and / or increasing device, but can also be used for other purposes, for example for the manufacture of openwork knitted fabrics.
