Definitions

  • the invention relates to a dental patient chair with a chair lower part and a chair and a pivotable articulated backrest containing the upper part of the chair, arranged between the lower and upper part of the chair, designed as a straight guide, by means of which a seat frame supporting the upper part of the chair can be moved along the lower part of the chair , Means are provided which, when the backrest is inclined, on the one hand shift the seat in the longitudinal direction of the chair relative to the lower part of the chair and, on the other hand, tilt about a transverse axis with the aid of a run-off roller supported on a running track.
  • the upper part of the chair is positively guided in the sense of the described combined movement by means of a rigid handlebar designed as an armrest, which is articulated on the one hand to the backrest and on the other hand to the lower part of the chair.
  • the object of the present invention is; to improve a dental patient chair of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that the above-described combined movement can be achieved without lateral armrests or similar steering linkages attached to the outside of the chair and interfering with free access to the chair, but nevertheless adequate stability without arrangement a particularly torsion-resistant support frame is given.
  • the pivot bearing for the backrest is arranged in a stationary manner on the seat frame, approximately in the region of the hip joint of a person sitting in the chair, that the bearing part on which the backrest is arranged is connected to the backrest in an angularly rigid manner , downward opening into the seat frame, on which a pull / push rod is articulated, and that a two lever arms roller lever is articulated on the seat frame, on one arm the pull / push rod is articulated and on the other arm the roller is mounted, which is supported on the arranged on the lower part of the chair and determining the tilting movement of the seat.
  • the construction according to the invention has the advantage that, after the swivel bearing for the backrest lies approximately in the area of the hip joint of a person sitting in the chair, there is practically no “pull-out effect”, that the backrest is practically self-supporting, therefore does not require a torsionally rigid support frame, and that both sides of the chair are free of a steering or armrest linkage.
  • Another advantage of the construction according to the invention can be seen in the fact that the backrest has no mechanical coupling in the direction of the steep position, that is to say that it can be raised freely in each inclination phase and thus complies with the required safety regulations.
  • the proposed construction for guiding the upper part of the chair also has the advantage that no counterweights are to be provided in the area of the leg rest, as is the case with known chairs for safety reasons, in order to avoid possible tilting movements in extreme chair positions.
  • Fig. 1 shows a dental patient chair in a side view with a base part 1, a height adjustment device 2, not shown, and a support frame 3 existing chair lower part and a chair part formed from the seat 4 and backrest 5.
  • Seat 4 and backrest 5 are connected to one another by means of a joint 6.
  • the joint 6 is present on both sides of the chair (FIG. 2) and is located approximately in the area of the hip joint of a person sitting in the chair.
  • the two joints 6 each consist of a pin 8 arranged on the seat frame 7 and a bearing part 9 pivotable about this pivotable bearing part 9, on the one hand, a fastening part 10 for the backrest 5 and, on the other hand, an extension 11 which plunges downward into the seat frame 7 are fastened at an angle-resistant manner.
  • a pull / push rod 13 is articulated by means of a joint 12, at the free end of which a lever arm 15 of a roller lever 16 is articulated by means of a joint 14.
  • the roller lever 16 is fixed in place on the seat frame 7 by means of a joint 17; On the second lever arm 18, a roller 19 is mounted, which is supported on a track 20 fastened to the support frame 3 of the lower part of the chair.
  • the two joints 14, 17 and the roller 19 form an isosceles triangle.
  • the dimensioning of the lever arms as well as the arrangement of the bearing point and the inclination of the concavely curved plane of the raceway 20 are such that when the backrest 5 is inclined, the seat 4 is moved in the desired manner in the direction of the arrow indicated in the image to the right and at the same time the legrest is slightly raised towards the backrest. The guidance necessary for this is explained in more detail with reference to FIG. 4.
  • Guide rods 21, 22 are arranged on the seat frame 7 on both sides.
  • the mounting blocks required for this are designated by 23.
  • the guide rods 21, 22 are arranged in pairs (21, 21 a; 22, 22a) and one behind the other.
  • Guide bushings 24, 24a run on the guide rods; 25, 25a, these guide bushes 24, 25 are each articulated by means of a joint 26 (FIG. 3) in brackets 27 on the support frame 3, that is to say on the lower part of the chair.
  • a spindle drive 30 is provided in a manner known per se with a spindle nut 31 and a threaded spindle 32.
  • the spindle drive 30 is suspended from the seat frame 7 by means of trunnions 33 and brackets 34.
  • the spindle nut 31 is also articulated by means of a joint 35 and brackets 36 on the support frame 3, that is to say on the lower part of the chair.
  • the threaded spindle 32 is moved along the spindle nut 31 when the drive 30 is switched on; due to the coupling of the drive to the seat frame 7, the seat 4 is adjusted in the longitudinal direction of the chair.
  • the guide bushes 24, 25 are adjusted along the guide rods 21, 22.
  • the roller 19 runs on the inclined plane of the track 20.
  • the roller is pressed onto the track 20 by the weight of the backrest.
  • the roller lever 16 tilts about the articulation axis 17, with the result that the pull arm 15 / Push rod 13 is moved to the right in the display plane.
  • the seat and leg support are slightly raised when pushed forward.
  • the angle of inclination of the guide rods 21, 22 determines the degree of lifting of the seat and leg support.
  • the arrangement of the guide rods 21, 22 is advantageously in pairs; An embodiment with only a paired arrangement of the rods 21, 21 and only one guide rod in the front area is also conceivable.
