Abstract

In order to guarantee a perfect transfer of the thread from the full bobbin to a new tube in automatic winding machines, exact guidance of the thread is essential during the changing process. This problem is solved according to the invention as follows: an upper foldable sheet (20) presses the thread (43) with its front edge (28) out of the traversing thread guide (13). A finger (39) moves the thread along the front edge (28) up to a stop (29) in the knot winding area (16). A finger (40) simultaneously guides the thread (43) under the sleeve (10) beyond the end of the sleeve so that it runs obliquely over the edge of the sleeve on which the knives (8, 9) are arranged. A stop (31), which is located on the front edge (30) of a foldable lower plate (21), holds it back so that it cannot slide laterally over the edge of the full spool.

Description

The invention relates to a winder for automatic bobbin changing according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

In a winding machine of this type, which has become known from DE-AS 27 33 120, hooks are provided for lifting and laying the thread when changing the bobbin above and below the position of the mandrel fitted with the new sleeve, which hooks can be pivoted about approximately vertical axes. Practice has shown that the thread guide is not sufficiently precise, particularly as a result of the catch hooks swinging through. Therefore, it is not always guaranteed that the cut end of thread will be spooled over by the knot wrap on the new tube. It occasionally hangs freely and can get caught when the spool is ejected. It also happens that the thread slides laterally from the full sleeve when folded over to the new sleeve.

The invention has for its object to improve a winder according to the preamble of claim 1 so that an absolutely exact thread guidance is guaranteed when changing the bobbin. This is said to cause the unwanted specified Effects are avoided.

This object is achieved by the features specified in the characterizing part of patent claim 1.

Claims 2 and 3 contain advantageous constructive refinements of the invention.

The drawing serves to explain the invention with reference to an embodiment shown in simplified form.
  • Fig. 1 shows a side view of a winding machine according to the invention.
  • Fig. 2 shows a view of the carriage of a 90 0 twisted direction, the invention is not essential components have been omitted to improve clarity.

As is known, the winding machine consists of a housing 1-, a coil turret 3 which is rotatably mounted on the housing 1 about its axis 2 and a carriage 4 which can be moved back and forth at right angles to the axis 2 for the purpose of adaptation to the respective coil diameter, as by the arrow 5 indicated.

The coil turret 3 is equipped with two diametrically opposed mandrels 6, 7 which serve to receive coil sleeves. At the end of the mandrels 6, 7 adjacent to the bearing, two diametrically opposed, hook-shaped knives 8, 9 are attached, which grip over the edge of the attached sleeve 10. The knife holder forms the stop for the sleeve 10. For the sake of simplicity, an embodiment was selected for the drawing in which only a single sleeve or coil is seated on each mandrel. Of course, it is also possible to place several sleeves side by side per mandrel. According to the intended number of sleeves then several knives are attached along the mandrel, which can be lowered into the interior of the mandrel 6, 7 when changing the bobbin, as described in the aforementioned DE-AS 27 33 120.

A traversing device 12 with a traversing thread guide 13 is arranged on the carriage 4 above a pressure roller 11. The traversing range is limited by the dash-dotted lines 14, 15 shown in FIG. 2. As is known, the traversing area ends, in particular on the side facing the housing 1, at a certain distance from the edge of the attached sleeve 10. The end area of the sleeve not swept by the traversing, i.e. the area between the level of the knives 8, 9 and the adjacent end of the traversing area is the so-called knot winding area 16.

There is a fixed thread guide above the slide 4 in the middle of the traversing area, e.g. an eyelet, attached, which is not shown in the drawing because it is relatively high. The thread is thus fed from above in the illustrated embodiment. Of course, the invention is equally applicable to automatic winding machines in which the thread e.g. runs laterally. To simplify the wording, the direction from which the thread runs in is always referred to as "above" in this description and in the patent claims. The words "below", "above" etc. are also to be understood in the corresponding sense.

Two round guide rods 18, 19 are mounted in these two lateral strips, one above the plane of the axis of the mandrel 6 facing it and the other below this plane. With the two guide rods 18, 19 sheets 20, 21 are firmly connected by lateral holding plates 22, 23. The sheets 20, 21 engage in the Darge in Fig. 1 with solid lines , approximately horizontal engagement position like pliers, but at a distance, around the mandrel 6 equipped with an empty sleeve 10.

The holding plates 22, 23 are connected to one another by an articulated coupling rod 24 in such a way that the joint 25 on the upper holding plate 22 lies on one side of the plane defined by the two rod axes, but the joint 26 on the lower holding plate 23 the other side of this level. In addition, the piston of a cylinder 27, which is articulated on the base plate of the slide 4, acts on the holding plate 22. By actuating the cylinder 27, the two sheets 20, 21 can simultaneously be pivoted back into the almost vertical positions 20a, 21a, indicated by dash-dotted lines.

The leading edge 28 of the upper plate 20, which extends substantially over the entire length of the mandrel 6 is parallel to the axis of mandrel 6. In the engaged position, it lies approximately in the middle above the Verbindun g s-line between the traversing yarn guide 13 and the axis of the mandrel 6. It is provided approximately in the middle of the knot winding area 16 with a hook-like projecting stop 29.

The front edge 30 of the lower plate 21 also runs parallel to the axis of the mandrel 6. lies approximately in the vertical tangential plane of the mandrel 6 facing away from the carriage 4. It is also provided with a hook-like projecting stop 31, which, however, lies in the traversing area, and not far from the center.

Between the two rods 18, 19 there is a cylinder 32 with a piston rod 33 which carries a cross member 34. Two rings 35, 36, 37, 38 are fastened to the two ends of the crossmember 34 reaching the rods 18, 19, one 35, 37 on one side of the traverse, the other 36, 38 on the other side. The rings sit on the rods 18, 19 and are movable relative to them in the longitudinal direction, but non-rotatable.

A finger 39 is attached to the ring 36, which sits on the upper rod 18 in FIG. 2 to the right of the cross member 34. Similarly, on ring 37, which is on lower rod 19 in Fig. 2 to the left of the crossbar, i.e. that is, at an angle to the finger 39, is seated, a finger 40 is attached. The fingers 39, 40 are arranged at right angles to the rods 18, 19, extend in the engagement position approximately horizontally from the slide 4 in the direction of the turret 3 and extend with their free ends beyond the edges 28, 30. When the sheets 20, 21 are pivoted back into the rest position 20a, 21a, the fingers 39, 40 maintain their relative position to the sheets 20, 21 because of their non-rotatable arrangement relative to the rods 18, 19, i.e. the free ends of the fingers 39, 40, in particular that of the upper insert, are at a short distance from the edges 28, 30.

In normal winding operation, the sheets 20, 21 and the fingers 39, 40 are in the folded-back position in which they have no function. As indicated by dash-dotted lines in FIG. 2, the fingers 39, 40 are moved back beyond the center of the traversing area. When the spool on the left in operation in FIG. 1 is full, the turret 3 pivots through 180 ° in the direction of arrow 41, so that the full spool reaches the right. In this position it is indicated by the circular line 42. The carriage 4 moves in the direction of the still empty spool 10 of the other mandrel, which is now pivoted into the operating position. The thread 43 which is guided around the empty tube 10 is initially wound even further as the traversing continues on the full bobbin. Then the sheets 20, 21 and the fingers 39, 40 connected to them fold into the engagement position. The upper plate 20 touches the thread 43 with its leading edge 28, which is designed as a guide rail, and lifts it out of the traversing thread guide 13. As a result, the thread moves - regardless of the point at which it was lifted out of the traversing thread guide - towards the center of the traversing region. The front edge 30 of the lower plate 21 also touches the thread. By acting on the cylinder 32, the fingers 39, 40 move synchronously out of their rest position towards the end of the sleeve 10 at which the knives 8, 9 are arranged. As a result, the thread 43 is guided along the guide rails 28, 30. The upper finger 39 moves up to the stop 29. In this position, the thread is guided precisely in a narrow opening with little play. As a result of the offset arrangement of the fingers 39, 40, the lower finger 40 moves a little further, namely to ; beyond the knives 8, 9 and the end of the sleeve 10. The piece of thread guided around the sleeve 10 therefore runs obliquely to the edge of the sleeve. It lies on the sleeve in the upper area and extends beyond the sleeve edge in the lower area, penetrating the plane in which the knives 8, 9 rotate. In this case, the thread 43 is held at a safe distance from the edge of the full bobbin 42 by the stop 31 of the lower plate 21, so that it cannot slip off the edge under any circumstances.

As soon as the thread, as just described, runs obliquely over the edge of the sleeve 10, it is gripped by one of the rotating knives 8, 9 and cut through.

The fingers 39, 40 initially remain in the advanced position. The following thread forms a small winding on the sleeve 10, which lies on the cut end of the thread. After a predetermined time, ie after the number of turns required for the knot winding has been formed, the metal sheets 2Q, 21 fold back. Then the fingers 39, 40 move back to the rest position. The thread moves now move freely towards the center of the traversing area and is thereby gripped by the traversing thread guide 13. Then the construction of a new coil begins.
