Abstract

The frame shim comprises a first and a second elongated plate made of a porous material, which plates are located in planes extending parallel to each other and which are connected to each other along their longitudinal sides. Claims (11)

1. Frame of a door having a jamb lining comprising plates of a porous material which are glued together, characterized in that the jamb lining, in order to provide a recess for receiving the door panel (7) in the shut position, consists of two plates (8, 9) located in relative to each other staggered parallel planes and interconnected by a generally known keyway connection (12, 14), and in that at least the longitudinal edge of the first plate (8) provided with the groove (12), and the longitudinal edge of the second plate (9) located oppositely of the ridge (14) are reinforced.
2. Frame according to claim 1, characterized in that the longitudinal edge of the second plate (9) comprising the ridge (14) is reinforced, too.
3. Frame according to claim 1, characterized in that the longitudinal edge of the first plate (8) located oppositely of the groove (12) is reinforced, too.
4. Frame according to claim 1, characterized in that the plate (9) comprises a fold (13), and that the projecting position of this plate forms a ridge (14), such that the laterally extending shoulder (20) of the fold (13) is located opposite of one of the two legs (19) of the groove.
5. Frame according to claim 4, characterized in that the leg (19) of the groove (12) located opposite of the laterally extending shoulder (20) is shorter than the other leg (15) of the groove.
6. Frame according to claim 4, characterized in that the face (16) of the other leg (15) of the groove acts as limit stop for the door panel (17).
7. Frame according to claim 6, characterized in that the face (16) of mentioned leg (15) of the groove is provided with a seal (18).
8. Frame according to claim 1, characterized in that the reinforced longitudinal side of the second plate (9) is provided with door fittings (6).
9. Frame according to claim 1, characterized in that a strip (24) of a material which foams under influence of an increased temperature is embedded in the surface (23) of the other elongated plate (9) facing the door panel (7).
10. Frame according to claim 1, characterized in that the plates (8, 9) are mounted by the agency of wall angle pieces (2, 32) to the building wall (1).
11. Method of manufacturing the frame shim (3) of a frame in accordance with claim 1, in which a plate made of a porous material is treated, characterized in that at least the edge areas (10, 11) of the plate which are located oppositely to each other are reinforced, that the treated plate is cut between the two mentioned edge areas, that the reinforced edge area (10) of the first elongated plate (8) which has been produced as mentioned is provided with a groove (12) and the not reinforced edge area of the second elongated plate (9) is provided with a fold (13), and in that the ridge (14) formed by said provision with a fold at the not reinforced edge area is inserted into the groove (12).
