Abstract

Eine Kochplattenabdeckung, insbesondere für elektrische Kochplatten, die in ein Oberblech montiert sind, wobei die Kochplatte des Oberblech etwas überragt und die Abdeckung eine umgebogene Kante aufweist, die sich auf dem Oberblech oder auf den Seitenflächen der Kochplatte abstützt. Die Kochplattenabdeckung ist mit einer Thermosicherung versehen, die visuell zeigt, ob die abgedeckte Kochplatte warm ist oder nicht.
Die Thermosicherung kann eine vorgespannte Feder oder eine Bimetallfeder (2) sein, die die Kochplattenabdeckung (1) hochhebt, falls die Kochplatte warm ist.

Description

  • Die Erfindung betrifft eine Abdeckung für Koch- oder Heizplatten, insbesondere für elektrische Koch- oder Heizplatten, die in einem Oberblech derart montiert sind, daß die Heizplatte das Oberblech etwas überragt, und wobei die Abdeckung mit einer umgebogenen Kante versehen ist, die sich auf dem Oberblech oder den Seitenflächen der Kochplatte abstützt.
  • Die heute verwendeten Kochplattendeckel erfüllen in aller Regel nur den dekorativen Zweck, die mehr oder weniger schönen Kochplatten zu verbergen. Es kommt oft vor, daß eine Kochplatte und damit der Kochplattendeckel infolge technischen Fehlers oder durch Vergeßlichkeit beheizt wird.
  • Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es, solchen Fehlern und den daraus resultierenden Unfällen in einfacher und wirksamer Weise vorzubeugen.
  • ) Die Abdeckung nach der Erfindung zeichnet sich zu diesem Zwecke dadurch aus, daß sie mit einer Thermosicherung ausgerüstet ist, die visuell den Erwärmungszustand der abgedeckten Kochplatte zeigt, also erkennen läßt, ob die Platte warm ist oder nicht.
  • Mittels der Thermosicherung erreicht man eine deutliche visuelle Indikation, wenn die Kochplatte und der Kochplattendeckel warm sind. Infolgedessen werden Verbrennungen durch unbeabsichtigte Berührung des warmen Kochplattendeckels, Zerstörung der Koch- oder Heizplatte und des Deckels sowie Energieverluste vermieden.
  • Die Thermosicherung der Kochplattenabdeckung wird durch Erwärmung in Tätigkeit gesetzt. Sie hebt den Deckel von der Kochplatte an oder gibt in anderer Weise sichtbar zu erkennen, daß der Deckel warm ist, z.B. dadurch, daß ein Anzeiger in einer Fensterscheibe auf der Oberseite der Abdeckung verschoben wird.
  • Die Thermosicherung kann eine oder mehrere vorgespannte Federn umfassen, die z.B. durch eine Lötung mit niedrigem Fließpunkt oder ein Schnappschloß aus Bimetall festgehalten werden, so daß die Federn bei einer bestimmten Temperatur freigegeben und wirksam werden.
  • Nach einer bevorzugten Ausgestaltung kann die Thermosicherung aus einer flachen Bimetallfeder bestehen, von der ein Ende mittels Schrauben, Nieten oder Punktschweißung an der Unterseite des Kochplattendeckels befestigt ist. Dadurch erreicht man, daß das Anheben der Abdeckung von der Kochplatte temperaturabhängig und die Reinigung der Unterseite des Deckels erleichtert wird.
  • Die schematische Zeichnung zeigt ein Ausführungsbeispiel eines Kochplattendeckels nach der Erfindung, und zwar
    • Fig. 1 einen Kochplattendeckel mit einer Bimetallfeder als Thermosicherung, von unten gesehen,
    • Fig. 2 die Form einer Bimetallfeder und die Stellung des Kochplattendeckels bei Zimmerwärme, und
    • Fig. 3 die Form der Bimetallfeder und die Stellung des Heizplattendeckels im Erwärmungszustand.
  • Eine Kochplattenabdeckung bzw. ein Kochplattendeckel mit Thermosicherung nach der Erfindung besteht aus einem Metalldeckel 1, an dessen Unterseite eine flache Bimetallfeder 2 angebracht ist, deren eines Ende an dem Kochplattendeckel festgemacht und deren aktive Seite gegen den Kochplattendeckel gekehrt (gebogen) ist. Durch Erhitzung biegt sich das freie Ende der Bimetallfeder vom Kochplattendeckel weg und gegen die Kochplatte herab, wodurch sich der Kochplattendeckel anhebt, wie es Figur 3 zeigt.
  • In der gezeigten Ausführung ist nur eine Bimetallfeder benutzt, aber es besteht kein Hindernis, zwei oder mehr Bimetallfedern zu benutzen, ggf. mit verschiedenen Längen, Gestaltungen und Befestigungspunkten.

Claims (5)

1. Abdeckung für Koch- oder Heizplatten, insbesondere für elektrische Koch- oder Heizplatten, die in einem Oberblech angeordnet sind, wobei die Kochplatte das Oberblech etwas überragt und die Abdeckung mit einer umgebogenen Kante versehen ist, die sich auf dem Oberblech oder auf den Seitenflächen der Kochplatte abstützt, dadurch gekennzeichnet , daß die Abdeckung mit einer Thermosicherung ausgerüstet ist, die visuell den Erwärmungszustand der abgedeckten Kochplatte anzeigt.
2. Abdeckung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet , daß die Thermosicherung so ausgebildet ist, daß sie die Abdeckung infolge Wärmeeinwirkung von der Kochplatte anhebt.
3. Abdeckung nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet , daß die Thermosicherung mindestens eine vorgespannte Feder umfaßt, die durch Wärmeeinwirkung freigegeben wird.
4. Abdeckung nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet , daß mindestens eine Bimetallfeder an ihr befestigt ist.
5.. Abdeckung nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet , daß die Bimetallfeder an der Unterseite der Abdeckung befestigt ist.
