Definitions

  • the invention relates to a contact device with a plunger which is longitudinally displaceable in the housing against the force of a compression spring and which has one or more recesses, wherein a contact bridge with movable contact pieces and a contact pressure spring projecting on both sides of the recess are arranged in each recess, and wherein the movable contact pieces cooperate with the formation of openers and / or closers with fixed contact pieces, with the contact bridge cooperating such positive guidance components are provided that a positive opening of adhesive or welded contacts between the movable and fixed contact pieces is ensured.
  • Contact devices of this type can be found in practice in many switchgear with a wide variety of constructions and uses.
  • the limit switches manufactured in large numbers in practice should be mentioned here only as an example.
  • These contact devices have in common that there is a tappet, which is operated either by hand or usually by machine, and which simultaneously serves as a contact bridge carrier.
  • there is only one contact bridge while in other switching devices several contact bridges are provided one above the other and / or next to one another.
  • the actuation stroke of the plunger or contact bridge support must be greater than the working stroke of the contact bridges with the movable contact pieces.
  • the contact pressure between the movable and fixed contact pieces can not correspond to the actuating force that acts on the plunger.
  • a pressure spring is present in the known contact devices, which returns the plunger to its rest position after it has been actuated and holds it there, and on the other hand, a contact pressure spring is inserted into a recess in the plunger for each contact bridge with the latter. These springs precisely determine the required and desired contact pressure. Each contact bridge is thus held in the recess of the plunger so that it can move under the pressure of the contact pressure spring.
  • pivot levers are pivotally mounted on both sides of the actuating plunger in the housing of the snap switch by means of pins.
  • the ends of the pivot levers pointing towards the actuating plunger can engage in depressions in the actuating plunger, the depressions being delimited by inclined surfaces.
  • the pivoting of the pivoting levers takes place in such a way that the ends of the pivoting levers first move in the depressions when the actuating plunger is actuated, but then abut the inclined surfaces.
  • the other ends of the swivel lever come into contact with the contact bridge.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a contact device in which, with simple means, a high switching reliability is ensured even with adhering or welded contacts, the positive opening of the contacts practically without delay, ie without a previous major Movement play takes place and it is achieved that the respective direction of movement of each contact bridge corresponds to the direction of movement of the plunger.
  • the positive guide components are seated in the form of outwardly trapezoidal tapered blocks on the two contact bridge parts which protrude from the recess and can be pivoted in a small angular range to the direction of displacement of the plunger, that on the inside of each block a protrusion is provided which engages in the recess, and that the inclined surfaces of the trapezoidal blocks interact with the inner edges and / or inclined surfaces of the housing such that each protrusion disengages from the recess after part of the displacement path of the plunger, so that a forced opening of adhesive or welded contacts between the movable and fixed contact pieces (13, 34; 16, 17) is guaranteed immediately after actuation of the plunger (7) at the same time in which non-adhesive or non-welded contacts open.
  • an embodiment of the invention is shown in the diagram, namely the left half of the drawing as a central horizontal section in one end position, namely the rest position of the plunger and the right half as a top view of the contact device after removal of a possible housing cover in the other end position of the pestle.
  • the contact device shown in the drawing is generally much smaller in practice. For the sake of clarity, the contact device is shown enlarged many times in the drawing.
  • the contact device has a plastic housing 1 with a solid base part 3 with a free interior 2, which is designed and dimensioned so that all moving parts can move freely according to the working stroke.
  • the housing also has upwardly projecting side walls 4 on which, if necessary, a sealing cover, not shown, can be attached.
  • the housing also has guides 5 and 6 for a longitudinally displaceable plunger 7 or contact bridge holder.
  • the plunger is expediently rectangular in cross section at its two ends and accordingly the guides 5, 6 are also rectangular in cross section adapted to the plunger.
  • the plunger has a widened part, in which a recess 9, which is rectangular in longitudinal section and cross section, is provided. If, as in the present exemplary embodiment, the plunger has a middle widened part, the guides 5, 6 are U-shaped, open at the top, so that the plunger can be inserted with its ends into these guides from above. The upper ends of the plunger are also guided upwards by means of upper holding parts, not shown, which are expediently designed as projections of the cover which project downwards.
  • the recess 9 has two contact surfaces 10 and 11. On one contact surface, the contact bridge 12 can rest in the rest position shown in the left part of the drawing, while one end of the contact pressure spring 15 is supported on the other contact surface. The other end of the contact pressure spring 15 bears against the contact bridge 12.
  • the contact bridge has movable contact pieces 13 and 14 in the region of the two ends and on both sides. These movable contact pieces work together with fixed contact pieces 16 and 17. Depending on their arrangement, openers and / or closers can be provided in the contact device.
  • the fixed contact pieces 16, 17 are connected in the housing via contact connecting rails 18 and 19 to contact connecting screws 20, 21, to which electrical connecting lines, not shown, can be attached.
  • the contact bridge 12 protrudes on both sides from the recess 9 of the plunger.
  • positive guidance components 23 cooperate in such a way that a positive opening of the contacts between the movable contact pieces 13, 14 and the fixed contact pieces 16, 17 is ensured.
  • the positive guidance components are designed in the form of blocks 23 which taper trapezoidally, namely one block sits on one and the other protruding part of the contact bridge 12.
  • Each block is advantageous with one after provided outside expanding slot 32 so that the block can be pushed onto the contact bridge from the front.
  • each block 23 can pivot in a small angular range to the direction of displacement 25 of the plunger, as a comparison of the position of the block 23 in the left half of the drawing shows to the position of the block 23 in the right half of the drawing.
  • the slot is generally dimensioned so large that the block 23 can be pushed over the contact pieces 13, 14, especially since these contact pieces are made smaller in practice than is shown in the drawing for the sake of clarity.
  • the blocks 23 expediently consist of a hard plastic material, as is used for the housing 1 and the plunger.
  • a projection 27 is provided which engages in the recess 9 in the position shown in the left half of the figure.
  • the projection 27 is approximately wedge-shaped so that, as shown, it engages behind the edge of the contact surface 10 of the recess 9, specifically behind the edge on which the end of the contact pressure spring 15 which is remote from the contact bridge 12 is supported.
  • the inclined surfaces 28, 29 of the trapezoidal block 23 cooperate with inner edges 30 and / or inner inclined surfaces 31 of the housing 1 in such a way that each projection 27 disengages from the recess 9 after part of the displacement path of the plunger 7, as will be explained in more detail below .
  • the block 23 expediently has an extension 33 running essentially parallel to the plunger 7, which serves as a stop for the pivoting movement of the block 23 between an outer surface 34 of the plunger 7 on the one hand and an inner surface 35 of the housing on the other hand.
  • an inclined surface 29 of the trapezoidal block 23 is provided with a step 36, so that the lowest inclined surface part shown in the drawing projects downward.
  • the trapezoidal block 23 is provided on both sides of the contact bridge 12 with webs 37 which, as shown, also have a trapezoidal shape are designed to taper outwards.
  • the inner surface of the block with the lower surface part 38 is chamfered with respect to the upper inner surface 26 by an acute angle corresponding to the pivot angle, so that the block with the edge running perpendicular to the image plane, on which the two surface parts 26 and 38 collide, the plunger abuts and can pivot about this edge.
  • the lower part 38 of the inner surface is offset with a small step outwards, so that in the position shown in the right part of the block 23 between the lower part 38 of the inner surface and the outer surface of the widened part 8 of the plunger 7, a narrow gap remains .
  • the operation of the previously explained contact device is essentially as follows. If one starts from the rest position of the contact device according to the left half of the drawing, the plunger 7 with the contact bridge 12 is in the uppermost position, so that the movable contact pieces 13 rest against the fixed contact pieces 16, with a contact pressure that is predetermined by the compression spring 22. If the plunger 7 is now actuated by hand or by machine in the direction of the arrow 24, the plunger together with the contact bridge 12 under the pressure of the spring 15 moves downward and the contact pieces 13 lift off from the fixed contact pieces 16.
  • the wedge-shaped projection 27 of the described block 23 on one or even both comes after a very small displacement path of the plunger 7 Sides of the contact device for contact with the contact surface 10. Since the block 23 sits on the contact bridge 12 with relatively little play, the contact bridge 12 is forcibly carried along by the block 23 when the plunger 7 is pushed forward, so that the point of adhesion or weld between the immediately relevant contact pieces 13 and 16 is broken.
  • the block 23 in question cannot remain in the locking position shown in the left half of the figure, but must release the contact bridge 12 again after the contacts have been forced to open.
  • This is achieved in that when the plunger 7 is moved further, the lower stepped inclined surface 29 of the block meets the inclined surface 31 of the housing and slides along until the block 23 has been pivoted in a small angular range.
  • the projection 27 disengages from the recess 9.
  • the movable contact pieces 14 can now contact the fixed contact pieces 17 with a predetermined contact pressure of the contact pressure spring 15, and the plunger can be moved unimpeded until the end of the displacement stroke.
  • the block In this lowest position and after unlocking the projection 27, the block assumes the position shown in the right half of the figure.
  • the pivoting movement of the block is limited in that the extension 33 bears in the uppermost position on the outer surface 34 of the ram, while the extension 33 bears in the lowest position on the inner surface 35 of the housing.
  • the compressed compression spring 22 causes the plunger to move back.
  • the contact pieces 14, 19 remain in contact due to the pressure of the likewise compressed contact pressure spring 15 until the contact surface 11 of the recess of the plunger comes into contact with the contact bridge 12 and the Brings contact bridge with the movable contact pieces 14.
  • the blocks 23 are taken along.
  • the extension 33 slides along the inner surface 35 of the housing until the inclined surface 28 meets the inner edge 30 of the housing and the block is pivoted back into the original position with the projection 27 engaging in the recess 9.
  • one can also on the lower part 38 of the inside of the block 23 provide a further wedge-shaped projection, which engages in a downward extension part of the plunger 7 with a slot, for example, and a stop surface and is brought out of engagement again by pivoting the block, as described above, so that the block also forcibly opens in this direction of contacts is effected.
