Abstract

An ink fountain formed of a trough and fountain roller, the trough having a recess along its presented edge which defines a ledge surface. A metering bar of durable resilient plastic, and which is of "L" cross section, has a first leg which occupies the recess and a second leg which overlaps, and is sealed to, the bottom of the trough, with the corner of the metering bar defining a gap. Adjusting keys are spaced along the metering bar, each key having a rotatable stem carrying an eccentric at its tip. The first leg of the metering bar has a groove of constant width extending along its inner surface, parallel to the fountain roller, in which all of the eccentrics are snugly received for localized adjustment of the gap, positively in both directions. A resilient sealing strip interposed between the ledge surface and the metering bar seals the second leg of the metering bar with respect to the frame.

Ein ebenfalls formschlüssig verstellbares Farbmesser wird in der US-PS 144 742 gezeigt. Bei dieser Ausgestaltung ist am Farbmesser selbst ein Gewindebolzen angebracht, welcher mit einer am Farbkasten drehbar befestigten Stellmutter zusammenwirkt. Durch die Ausführung der Dosierleiste aus Kunststoff kann diese ebenfalls kostengünstig im Spritzverfahren hergestellt werden. Ein weiterer Vorteil ist, daß die Dosierleiste ohne Vorspannung angewendet werden kann, da die Betätigung absolut formschlüssig erfolgt und somit kein Spiel im Stellmechanismus ausgeglichen werden muß. Durch die abdichtende Befestigung am Farbkasten ist der Stellmechanismus vollkommen gegen Verschmutzen gesichert.The advantage of this device is that the adjustment mechanism is simple and therefore inexpensive to manufacture. Claims (3)

1.) Farbkasten an Farbwerken von Druckmaschinen mit einer Duktorwalze und einer zur Duktorwalze über ein Stellmittel einstellbaren Dosierleiste,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß der Farbkasten (1) im Bereich der Duktorwalze (2) eine Ausnehmung (3) aufweist, in der eine aus hochverschleißfestem-Kunststoff bestehende Dosierleiste (4) an ihren Längsseiten (5, 6) gegenüber dem Farbkasten (1) und der Duktorwalze (2) abdichtend befestigt ist, daß die Dosierleiste (4) auf der zur Ausnehmung (3) weisenden Seite eine zur Farbduktorwalze (2) achsparallel verlaufende Nut (7) aufweist, in die ein im Farbkasten (1) verdrehbar gelagertes Betätigungselement (8) formschlüssig eingreift.
