Abstract

1. Apparatus for bending the tubes (T), in the form of a gendarme hat or of an ess, of the type comprising a mobile stamping form (4) between two counter-forms (8) maintained on a framework (1) with counter-abutment rollers (13) of the free portions of the tube (T) to be bent, mounted on a support which is sliding relative to said framework (1) with axial handling means, the lateral counter-forms (8) mounted on the same framework (1) receiving the push rod of the form (4) and the control means for the shifting thereof, and co-operating tangentially along the supporting points of the tube (T), prior to the bending thereof, with counter-abutment rollers (13), characterized in that these counter-abutment rollers (13) are mounted on a support (9) to provide a clamping of the tube (T) and that the form (4) is made mobile independently of the counter-abutment rollers (13) in order to provide during the bending process by partial of the portions of the tube (T) on the counter-forms (8) a guiding, sliding and rolling effect for the whole time of the operation, so as to make possible without any distortion the machining of thin tubes and the production of branch pipes which are substantially parallel.

  • - la disposition de la butée réglable 2 qui permet d'exécuter un grand nombre de cintrages successifs et identiques, ou de réaliser un cintre d'une valeur donnée quel que soit le rayon ou le diamètre du tube ;
  • - la disposition de la butée réglable 2 qui permet de réaliser des cintres de profondeurs variables pour un même rayon ;
  • - la possibilité de variations en écartement symétrique ou non du positionnement des axes des contre-formes 8, selon le rayon de cintrage de la forme 4 ;
  • - l'interchangeabilité des contre-formes 8, de la forme 4 et des galets 13, selon le diamètre extérieur du tube T et les rayons de cintrage à obtenir ;
  • - la possibilité de positionnement dissymétrique des contre-formes 8 par rapport à la tige de poussée 3 et à la vis 10, pour obtenir des chapeaux de gendarme à branches inégales.

  • - The possibility of asymmetrical positioning of the counter-forms 8 relative to the push rod 3 and to the screw 10, in order to obtain gendarme hats with uneven branches.

Claims (9)

1. Apparatus for bending the tubes (T), in the form of a gendarm hat or of an ess, of the type comprising a mobile stamping form (4) between two counter-forms (8) maintained on a framework (1) with counter-abutment rollers (13) of the free portions of the tube (T) to be bent, mounted on a support which is sliding relative to said framework (1) with axial handling means, the lateral counter-forms (8) mounted on the same framework (1) receiving the push rod of the form (4) and the control means for the shifting thereof, and co-operating tangentially along the supporting points of the tube (T), prior to the bending thereof, with counter-abutment rollers (13), characterized in that these counter-abutment rollers (13) are nounted on a support (9) to provide a clamping of the tube (T) and that the form (4) is made mobile independently of the counter-abutment rollers (13) in order to provide during the bending process by partial of the portions of the tube (T) on the counter-forms (8) a guiding, sliding and rolling effect for the whole time of the operation, so as to make possible without any distortion the machining of thin tubes and the production of branch pipes which are substantially parallel.
2. Apparatus as claimed in Claim 1, characterized in that the framework (1) receiving the form (4) with the push rod thereof and the counter-forms (8) in accordance with a triangulation constitutes by means of the lateral sides a translation guide means for the lower sliding support (9) the rear transverse branch of which, projecting from said framework, constitutes a plurality of squared and symetrical abutments disposed approximately within the plane of the upper face of the framework, for housing the rollers (13) moved opposite the counterforms (8) and respectively held in position through the intermediary of an offset finger (14) crossing with backlassh a corresponding aperture (132), and permitting the positioning of said roller (13) according two positions while taking into account the spacing of the said counter-forms (8).
3. Apparatus as claimed in Claims 1 and 2, characterized in that each counter-abutment roller (13) is in the form of a parallelepiped-shaped block for being housed on the squared sections of the support (9) and being abutted for the clamping on the slanting V-shaped vertical faces (92), said faces being slanted or not relative to one another.

Apparatus as claimed in Claims 1, 2 and 3, characterized in that the sliding lower support (9) receiving the rollers (13) forms at the end of the εxial and protruding branch thereof a squared boss (93) in order to allow for the screwing of an actuating screw (10) or the housing of a rod sliding in translation, coupled in translation with a second boss ( 19) formed at the end of the framework (1) ; said actuating screw (1.0) or said rod being disposed substantially within the same axis as the push rod (3) constituting thereby with respect to the rollers (13) a triangulation opposite to the triangulation formed by the counter-forms (8) and the form (4).

Apparatus as claimed in Claims 1, 2, 3 and 4, characterized in that the push rod (3) of the stamping form (4) is threaded externally for the screwing of the adjustable stop (2) which is freely centered within the bore 12) of the squared end (11) of the framework (1) while forming at the end a collar (29 which co-operates in abutment against the said end (11) at stroke end or maximal off-travel of the bend, a scale (23) established externally on the bearing face of said stop (2) making it possible, from the initial position of tangential abutment of the form (4) on the tube (T) in the clamping position, to obtain by means of the controlled positioning of the collar (22) relative to the squared end (11) of the framework (1) the vertical adjustment of the infeed of the pushrod (3) and the abutment thereof at stroke end.
6. Apparatus as claimed in Claims 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, characterized in that one at least of the counter-forms (8) can be fixed within a longitudinal graduated port (18) of the framework (1), parallel to the push rod (3), to permit, with the other counter-form, the obtention of a spacing (X) corresponding to the starting point of the two parallel branches in the case of the embodiment of an ess upon a tube (T).

Apparatus as claimed in Claims 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, characterized in that an alternative form of embodiment, the counter-forms (8) can be shifted within graduated slots (11°) which are T-shaped and established within the thickness of the framework (1) for the offset adjustment as well as the spacing adjustment of said counter-forms, which counter-forms (8) may be spaced symmetrically or not relative to the push rod. (3) of the form (4) for the obtention of gendarm hats with unequal or equal branches.

Apparatus as claimed in Claims 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7, characterized in that one of the counter- forms (8), in the case of an ess to be formed with two parallel branches connected by two bends, is offset within the longitudinal port (18) in accordance with the spacing (X) of the branches of the axis to be obtained, while the tube (T) is disposed in abutment on the recess of the other counter-form and maintained in the clamping position by the corresponding roller (13), the pushing stress of the form (4) controlled by the stop (2) in accordance with the spacing of the branches to be obtained permitting the formation of the ess.
9. Apparatus as claimed in Claims 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7, characterized in that the counter-forms (8), when a gendarm hat with equal or unequal branches is to be formed, have the same diameter or a different diameter, are disposed symmetrically or not relative to the push rod (3), and permit by means of their recesses (81) the abutment of the tube (T) maintained in the clamping position by the corresponding rollers (13), while the pushing stress of the form (4), controlled by the stop (2), is applied on said clamped tube (T), ensuring the formation of the gendarm hat.
