Description

The invention relates to an outer wall thermal insulation with a heat-insulating layer of mineral or ceramic fibers processed into plates, the plates being fastened to the outer wall with pins.

Such insulation is applied to the outer walls of buildings in order to reduce the heat transfer through the outer wall. It is known to attach the heat-insulating layer or plates of heat-insulating material to the outer wall with pins (DE-A-16 58 874, DE-A-22 34 037, DE-A-22 61 846). From mineral or ceramic fibers, e.g. Glass fibers or slag wool, however, built-up plates have a very low strength, in particular in the direction of the plate level, in particular shear strength. A large number of pins are therefore required for fastening. Nevertheless, the load-bearing capacity of the thermal insulation attached to the outer wall is low, so that, for example, no plaster can be applied to it.

Although it is known to provide soundproofing or warming panels with a firmer outer layer by compressing the fibers located there (BE-A-681 419), such panels are not intended for external wall thermal insulation. In this case, too, the load-bearing capacity of the panels should be low.

For the rest, it is known to glue foamed polystyrene panels onto an outer wall as thermal insulation. Such plates have a sufficient load-bearing capacity, so that there is a plaster layer, in particular made of a plastic. bound plaster, can be applied. This has proven itself in itself because such thermal insulation is classified as flame retardant according to the relevant test regulations. According to the relevant building regulations, however, it may only be used up to the 8th floor. This restriction is necessary for reasons of fire safety, because polystyrene is flame retardant but not fire resistant. - In contrast, glass fibers or slag wool are refractory materials.

The object of the invention is to improve an outer wall thermal insulation of the type described in the introduction so that it can also withstand larger forces acting in the direction of the panel plane.

This object is achieved in that the plates have a pressure layer made of an inorganic material on both sides and glued to the outer wall and are also fastened with rustproof and / or fire-resistant plate pins held in metallic dowels, and that an outer layer of plaster is applied to the plates.

Such an insulating layer made of ceramic or mineral fibers easily meets the requirements of fire class A. It can therefore also be used on facade areas above the 8th floor without violating the relevant building regulations. The pressure layer applied to the plates on both sides and the double fastening on the one hand by gluing and on the other hand with pins improves the load-bearing capacity in such a way that the heat-insulating layer can also be easily loaded by an outer plaster layer.

It goes without saying that the printing layers consist of an inorganic material which can also be classified as fire class A and which can also be available as a base layer for the plaster and for applying an adhesive to the wall side. The pressure layer can have a reinforcement made of a glass silk mat or a metal mesh, which considerably improves its strength.

In the following an embodiment of the invention shown in the drawing is explained; the only figure shows a horizontal section through part of a facade with external wall thermal insulation.

A large number of plates 3 are glued to the surface 1 of an outer wall 2 of a building using a suitable adhesive. The plates 3 form a heat-insulating layer.

The plates 3 consist of mineral fibers, e.g. Slag wool, which are processed into plates 3 and solidified. 3 pressure layers 4 and 5, each with embedded reinforcement 6 made of glass silk fabric, are applied, in particular glued, to the plates on both sides. The printing layers 4 and 5 consist of an inorganic, refractory material.

The panels 3 can have a thickness between 1 and 10 cm depending on the desired thermal insulation. Since the plates 3 have a relatively low shear strength, in particular in the direction of the plate plane, they are attached to the outer wall 2 in addition to the gluing with rustproof and / or fire-resistant plate pins 7. For this purpose, the ends of the plate pins 7 are held in metallic dowels 8, which are embedded in the outer wall 2.

The outer pressure layer 6 of the plates 3 also serves as a carrier for an outer plaster 9 to be applied thereon, which is a synthetic resin-bound plaster.

The external wall thermal insulation shown easily fulfills the requirements of fire class A and can therefore also be used in facade areas above the 8th floor.
