Description

The invention relates to an outer wall - thermal insulation with a layer of heat-insulating material glued to the outer wall, a possibly approved pressure layer applied thereon and an outer plaster layer.

Such insulation is applied to the outer walls of buildings in order to reduce the heat transfer through the outer wall. The actual thermal insulation is carried out by the layer of heat-insulating material which is glued to the outer wall with a suitable adhesive and, in a known embodiment, consists of foamed polystyrene. On the outside, the heat-insulating layer carries the pressure layer that may be glued to it, which forms the basis for the exterior plaster, which is usually a plastic-bound plaster. - The known thermal insulation has proven itself per se, it is classified as "flame retardant" according to the relevant test regulations and may be used up to the height of the eighth floor according to the relevant building regulations. This restriction is necessary for reasons of fire safety, because the known thermal insulation is difficult is flammable but not fireproof.

The object of the invention is to improve thermal insulation of the type described above so that it meets the conditions of fire class A.

This object is achieved in that the heat-insulating layer consists of mineral or ceramic fibers or the like to form plates, mats. processed or solidified and that the mats, plates or the like. additionally with pens or the like. are attached to the wall.

The insulating layer made of ceramic or mineral fibers easily fulfills the requirements of fire class A and can therefore be used on facade areas above the eighth floor without violating the relevant building regulations. Mats, plates or the like are particularly suitable as materials. made of glass fibers or slag wool. Because plates, mats or the like. from such materials, however, have a relatively low strength, in particular shear strength, they are additionally or the like with pins. attached to the wall, so that they are also larger in the direction of the panels. Can withstand forces acting on the mat level.

The heat-insulating layer should advantageously have, at least on one side, but in particular on both sides, a pressure layer made of an inorganic material, which of course can also be classified as fire class A, so that the mats or panels are also protected against the outside during transport and assembly Stresses are protected and there is also a corresponding base layer for the plaster and possibly for applying an adhesive to the wall side. The pressure layer can have a reinforcement made of a glass silk mat or a metal mesh, which considerably improves its strength.

Auch diese Befestigung erfüllt die Bedingungen der Brandklasse A.The heat-insulating layer is expediently fastened to the wall with rustproof and / or fire-resistant plate pins, the plate pins should be held in metallic dowels. This fastening also meets the requirements of fire class A.

An exemplary embodiment of the invention illustrated in the drawing is explained below; the only figure shows a horizontal section through part of a facade with external wall thermal insulation.

A large number of plates 3 are glued to the surface 1 of an outer wall 2 of a building using a suitable adhesive. The plates 3 form a heat-insulating layer.

The plates 3 consist of mineral fibers, e.g. Slag wool, which are processed into plates 3 and solidified. On both sides, 3 pressure layers 4 and 5, each with embedded reinforcement 6 made of glass silk fabric, are applied, in particular glued, to the plates. The printing layers 4 and 5 consist of an inorganic, refractory material.

The plates 3 can, depending on the desired heat insulation between 1 and 10 cm thick. Since the plates 3 have a relatively low shear strength, in particular in the direction of the plate plane, they are attached to the outer wall 2 in addition to the gluing with rustproof and / or fire-resistant plate pins 7. For this purpose, the ends of the plate pins 7 are held in metallic dowels 8, which are embedded in the outer wall 2.

The outer pressure layer 6 of the plates 3 also serves as a carrier for an outer plaster 9 to be applied thereon, which is an art-hard plaster.

The external wall thermal insulation shown easily fulfills the requirements of fire class A and can therefore also be used in facade areas above the eighth floor.
